Booked this as it had free parking on site, for an overnight stay whilst dropping off daughter to University.

Rooms were very clean just as you might expect and the staff were very freindly, liked the look of the adjacent pub but as we spent the evening moving her in then out in Newcastle, and again over first thing in the morning did not get to sample it.

Will book again when we are next up.

Lovely clean hotel rooms spotlessly clean. Staff at this hotel are great nothing is to much trouble for any of them well done everyone. This hotel has a bus stop down the road that takes you into Newcastle city centre just ask at the reception and they will guide you also give you a map of the city.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a friendly face . The staff here are exceptional so helpful friendly and just great people . The rooms have everything you need all in working order .We stopped here for the Great North Run and the reception helped us with transportation to the event printing a document with all the buses and metro info not many would go above and beyond like that .

We usually stay at the Main Gate Premier Inn but unfortunately it was fully booked. Whilst this was ok it's really tired looking and needs an overhaul. Also having tried the food at the adjacent Wagon Team on the Friday night there was no way we were going to risk having breakfast there. In future if we can't get a room at the Main Gate we won't be bothering!!

I used this hotel as a base to explore the area. It's a former Premier Inn under new ownership. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
They were busy when I arrived at a stag/hen night had checked out. It's also clearly used by workmen but this was no problem.
Its in a good handy location for the A1 and is close to places to eat.
The staff really helped with the Internet and anything else I needed. Being very warm the rooms having no air con were hot but the fan helped. A bit noisy on my first night but that wasn't anything the hotel could sort.
Good clean rooms and comfortable bed. Breakfast was grab and go which I mainly used as snack in the day and had breakfast elsewhere but the juice and water were very handy.

Jemma would be my reason to return for the helpful and willing attitude she showed, wanting me to have a perfect experience and wanting me to return again. On arrival I asked for a shaded room, and she went and checked the room and turned on a fan to cool it down. Jemma seemed vo want to be as helpful as possible Internet was very slow in the evening, and then the following morning it stopped working. Room was nice and cool on a very hot day. Large car park. Breakfast is just a "grab aand Go" at present..

Stayed here for a few nights. I was overwhelmed by the attention from the receptionist (Vicky) nothing was too much hassle for her (and i think i was a demanding guest) always greeted with a warm smile and welcome. She really is an asset to the hotel! Rooms were spotlessly clean and cleaned to a high standard. Would definitely recommended this hotel and am looking forward to my next stay with these guys.

Had a lovely stay here, whilst we were helping my Grandfather move out if his home to come and live with us. ALL the team very friendly, from the reception team to the housekeeping girls. The Head Housekeeper was very friendly and genuinely showed an interest in why we were staying. Rooms immaculate, even though they are older premier inn style rooms. Couldn’t find a spec of dirt, and I really checked! Location is great for the A1 and Team Valley. Highly recommend, and thanks for a great stay.

Well what can I say, the hotel is not the most central but the staff are amazing! We stayed for 4 nights and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive if they tried. Anything we asked for help with during our visit be it advice on places to go or supplying top ups for coffee and extra pillows was done with speed and a smile! I have to say Mandy, Vicky, George (I think) and the other 2 ladies on duty over our stay were amazing and deserve recognition for their top notch customer service! I will definitely stay there again if we venture up that way . Thankyou guys for a great break away x

We came up for the football: the hotel is a £10 cab ride from Newcastle city centre, so is very convenient. We received a warm welcome, and enjoyed lunch at the adjoining pub before heading off to the city. The hotel (and rooms) could do with a little updating but everything was spotlessly clean, and our bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our cooked to order hot breakfast and will definitely return for our next visit to Newcastle. Excellent value and great service.
