Horrendous 3 night stay. Upgraded room was useless with zero water pressure and a constantly leaking coffee machine. We reported so many times to reception whom did nothing and just repeatedly said Sorry. Restaurant was a joke 2 out of the 3 nights we had to send our meals back as inedible. Again staff said sorry but it happened the next evening to with a 2 hour wait for the correct food. Night manager David was extremely rude and made homophobic remarks several times..... Horrible experience and will never stay at a Premier inn again
My daughter and I stayed for a single night. The check in was straightforward with very friendly helpful staff. The room was immaculate and we had a very restful evening. The restaurant was closed when we arrived so we went to a carvery across the road which was great value. There was a good choice of food for breakfast although I guess I would have had to request vegetarian sausages. Check out was smooth. All in all, a great stay in a Premier Inn that was ideally situated for where we needed to be and excellent value for money.
Stayed at Premier Inn Team Valley before for a previous trip and returned again and had another good stay. Warm, friendly welcome at check in. Efficient check in process, with no queue or issues. Room was a modern room with ambient lights behind the bed. Room was clean and tidy and everything worked as it should. Minor bathroom issues with slightly drooping shower curtain rail and water stream from sink tap too close to the side of the sink, but didn't impact stay. Would definitely stay again if I was in the area.
Stayed here for the GN run and found not only the hotel to be clean and well maintained, the staff were also extremely motivated, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much bother for any of them. We had one minor issue (if you could call it that) with a shampoo dispenser which was dealt with virtually straight away. Breakfast fine, evening drinks good, assistance with taxis and buses informative and delivered with accuracy and great humour too. Yes, good here
I recently did the great north run, the hotel I originally booked told me that they had cancelled my booking, myself my partner my 5 year old and 1 year old left in Newcastle at 9 30pm with nowhere to go and gettining anxious and stressed. I ended up at this premier Inn. I can only say how amazing Michelle Brown was (the duty manager). After explaining the situation and what had happened, and her own hotel being full, not only did Michelle go out of her way for something that wasn't her problem, Michelle helpped and found a hotel that we could stay in, she booked it for me, gave me directions and also gave some books and crayons for my children. I am in awe and my faith restored in people and businesses, as The treatment we got from Michelle and the Premier Inn, I can not fault and as the face of the company, I will always be booking at the Premier inn on my stays. First impressions and going above and beyond myself and family will be forever grateful. Thank you so much…
We have stayed in Premier Inn many times as we have family across the country and Premier Inn is always our 1st choice, so on this Stay I thought I would add a little more luxury and book a Premier plus room, to say I'm disappointed is a massive understatement! The room itself was small, the waterfall shower had hardly any pressure so it was more like a trickle shower! There was mould around the glass of the shower screen as well. I've had much bigger tv's in a normal room. The coffee maker leaked water all over the sides when we used it ( yes we followed the instructions to the letter ) the vanity area was a shelf with a stool. The chairs were very worn and the upholstery was wearing away. There was sticky stains on the carpet as well that your foot would get stuck to as you walked over it. There was also a guest ( or two ) in the room next to us and they kept us awake with noise on many occasions our bed was banging with the movement of their bed. This has now put us off using Premier inn and we will find another hotel chain to use in the future.…
An impressive building and welcome from the lovely staff. However, if you want a good nights sleep, DO NOT stay here. The first time I stayed, the bottle banks were emptied at 3.15am and industrial fans from the next building were going all night. The second (& final time) that I stayed, it was constant traffic noise all night. There is very little sound proofing.
Choose a premier Inn Plus upgraded room. Very nice and a good room with good service. Sadly; 1: The ‘Luxury’ shower leaked very substantially from the handset hose and significantly effected the shower power/flow - a great disappointment which could not be fixed, remedied, or an alternative room offered (despite hotel not being busy). 2: Lots of outside 4:30 - 5:30 am noise from unloading lorries and emptying bins/waste from hotel by hotel staff into big outside bins acting as loud echo chambers, as well as sadly staff generally being very loud (even raucous) in jovial and disappointing dialogue from the back doors, which emanated into and upto the entire hotel - even very clearly and loudly to our room on the 7th floor. What a shame… my wife and I were sleeping so soundly up until then…. …
We booked to stay here for 2 nights as a family of 4 whilst visiting the Beamish Museum. It was ideally placed only 15 minute from Beamish and the same to go into Newcastle. Rooms were very clean and spacious. There is no air con but unlike other Premier Inns the windows opened and the room was cool enough throughout our stay. Staff were lovely and breakfast was very good with the hot and continental buffet to choose from. We also had food upto the room on one night and the price was brilliantly cheap for what we got. There is also a subway just outside the hotel and it isn’t far to go and eat in Newcastle. There is a pub across the roof for food and drink but we didn’t use it. I would use this hotel again if visiting the area.
Horrendous stay, the rooms don't have aircon. If you're thinking about staying here during the summer months. Don't. No water is provided, and the rooms were nearly 30 degrees. The goods night sleep guarantee isn't honoured Despite waking up every hour, with a mouth as dry as a desert. Overall spoilt a very rare child free night with my partner. Breakfast was ok, at best. But at only £9.50 you can't grumble.
