#4 of 5 hotels in Kinross
Make yourself comfy in our cosy, home-from-home 18th-century coaching inn. Sitting on the banks of Loch Leven, just off the M90 south of Perth, getting to Kinross is easy. If you need anything at all, we’re never too busy to look up the weather, give you directions or fix you a drink, it’s what we’re here for. And your dog will be made just as welcome, with their own doggie bag of treats and bed for the room. We’ve got two golf courses on our doorstep and another 200 within an hour’s drive. Plus, there’s plenty of activities to keep you busy. We also have plenty of choice when it comes to food and drink ... the one stop shop to a great break!

My wife and I stayed here in order to see a concert in The Back Room, a super hall attached to the hotel, the atmosphere is relaxed and the sound quality brilliant. The hotel staff are all very helpful and cheery. We had a meal before the concert, I had steak pie, it was a real pie, not stew with a piece of pastry as most places, needless to say it was superb. Breakfast was very good as well, a big array of pastries, fruit salad plus the bacon and sausages etc. are all locally sourced. There is a large comfortable bar and plenty of car parking space as well. I thoroughly recommend it.

Our room booking for Saturday 6th November was cancelled, to accommodate an ‘exclusive’ booking. Other hotels in the area were already full, so we changed our plans for the weekend, and missed a long-awaited music gig. Oddly, the hotel website later stated that the hotel would reopen on Friday 5th, but our room remained cancelled. We emailed regarding our disappointment and queried the mixed messages, but received no reply. We also tried phoning the hotel three times, but were put through to recorded messages to send an email, which we had already done without success. This was our first and probably last experience with The Green Hotel. It is difficult to be impressed when you are first disregarded, and then ignored.

We booked a wheelchair accessible room a few weeks ago. When we arrived yesterday afternoon and checked in, receptionist could see I was in a wheelchair, we were given our key but when we got to the room it certainly was not a wheelchair accessible room the bathroom was just an ordinary bathroom with a chair put over the bath, there was no way I could have lifted my legs over into the bath, the wheelchair didn't fit through the bathroom door , there were no handrails round the toilet. What's the point complaining I don't know how clearer we can be on booking stating a wheelchair accessible room is required I really do think it goes in one ear and out the other without being penetrated. Otherwise we found the hotel neat although an overhaul would be beneficial from carpets in the hallways and sorting the very squeaky floorboards in the hallways to wallpaper and skirtings in the rooms.

Just a quick one to thank the manager Gary for sorting out a potential problem into a lovely conclusion for me, my wife and in laws this week. Will be back to your hotel soon as you dealt with us quickly and in immaculate fashion.
