Great hotel. We stopped here with our walking group. The staff are all very poliite, the food was lovely. The fitness facilities are really good, especially the 20m pool, even the towels are provided. Evening entertainment was OK, one group was a bit loud but the rest were fine. Spacious tidied every day.

Stayed for one night in room 158. The room itself was huge but very bare and uninviting. Stained carpets, last occupants soap left in shower, under toilet rim filthy, one teaspoon, generally not very clean. The bed sloped down to the pillow end and the spring frame was sticking out at one side of the bed. Bedding had lots of holes in which was changed after we were given 3 other room options which were infinitely worse so declined . The corridors and public areas were freezing. Other guests were not asked to wear masks and some staff weren't either. Staff were very pleasant and helpful though amd the general feel was a hotel that was stuck in the 90s and needs a face-lift.

First time at the Dalmeny went especially for New year had a brilliant time with my family. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, the staff were all very friendly and polite. The amenities at the hotel are really good especially if you have children lots going on. Attended the New Year gala good food, entertainment was brilliant. A really good time was had by all, some of the fellow guest had been going back for the last 24 years that is how good the hotel and night is. Will be going back again and would recommend.

The hotel and facilities are great, but the WIFI in the lounge by the pool is the worst I've ever experienced. Constantly dropping connections and so slow. Suffered this all week as this lounge is the main place that people sit and relax. Reported it and they did nothing, very poor. They do have a couple of much smaller lounges and the WIFI in them works fine though.

We have just returned from taking our grandsons for an overnight stay at The Dalmeny while their mum and dad did secret wrapping things. The hotel was fabulous, family friendly staff who made a great fuss of the boys and looked after us all so well. Food in the restaurant was excellent for us and a great choice for the boys - not just the usual chicken nuggets, they both had great sausage and mash sitting in a giant Yorkshire. The restaurant team were busy but never too busy to stop and spend a minute to make sure we were all ok. We were also really pleased that early dinner was accommodated at 5.3opm (our grandsons are 4 and 7) Breakfast buffet had all bases covered and was hot and well cooked. The family room was spacious and safe and clean. We spent some lovely time in the lounge next to the pool playing games before dinner and although we didn't take the boys into the bar after dinner it was good to see the sign that said no children after 9pm so had we been there on our own the hotel was clearly adult friendly too. The lady looking after the booking for us couldn't have been more helpful and was so friendly too. Location of the hotel couldn't be better, right on the front. Huge thumbs up from us Team Dalmeny, we will be back again.
