Mode hotel was immaculately clean and well presented. It is situated a short walk from the sea front and local restaurants. The staff were friendly and efficient, beds extremely comfortable. I was visiting with my dad so had two separate rooms which were adjacent. Breakfast was delicious and although we had a continental as we were in a hurry, the choice was vast and good quality.

Hotel's Favourite
From booking, the communication was excellent and the building is in a great spot in the centre of Lytham, with lots of parking nearby and only 2 mins away (£4.50 for overnight, reasonable) public car park. The room is a decent size and v clean with all that you need. Complimentary Nespresso machine/coffee, robes and slippers, a good sized TV and a large fan as well, useful as the room we was in was quite warm. No reception, but envelopes and information to check on etc really clearly signposted Quiet and very comfortable A nice 'take away' continental breakfast delivered to your door as well early doors.

The best thing about this hotel is the location, its based right in the centre square in Lytham. The hotel is ultra modern and has a very contemporary feel. There is no lift, so unsuitable for anyone who has mobility problems. Our room was 207, good size room, king-size bed, very comfortable. Room was cold on arrival however we managed to work out how the radiator worked. Room had everything you needed, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, toiletries, tea and coffee/water, biscuits. Breakfast was continental, left outside the room around 7:30am, not my idea of breakfast. The only issue I had with the room was the sliding door to the ensuite, it makes such a racket and could do with a bit of oiling to make it glide more smoothly. You can hear the noise late at night from the nearby bar, but I suppose that's because it is in such a prime position but important to flag. Did I think the hotel was worth £140 per night, no, not really, especially due to the fact that there wasn't a soul in sight, everything is self service so it lacked that warm welcome.

Thank you for your review, we are happy to read you enjoyed your stay, As advertised Mode Lytham does not have a lift to the two floors. We hope that you received our welcome letter, which also detailed how to contact us 24/7Our Free Breakfast at Mode lytham is also as described a continental breakfast with Nespresso coffee and tea available in the rooms However we do offer a cooked breakfast at our partner restaurant The One on the ground floor of the Hotel as mentioned in the welcome letter. Thank you for your feedback on the bathroom door which we will take a look at today. We would encourage you to book directly with the hotel versus a tavel agent for lower prices and also so that  we can contact you directly. We also hope you will stay with us again in the near future. Andrew. bookdirect@modehotel.co.uk

The whole experience was very good from booking through to leaving a great hotel in what must be the best location in Lytham, you simply step out of the front door and bars and restaurants greet you a fab place for a short mini break ! Only downside vehicle parking but that is more about Lytham and not the hotel

Communication with hotel good before arrival so was expecting to find a parking spot. Also knew no lift but the room was up 3 lights,of stairs. We were, staying for 3 nights so had a, suitcase etc. My husband needed a shower as drove straight from work and there was, no hot water or heating. The lady on reception came in and was advised to taked the battery out of the radiator valve and replace it. This worked and thought that would be it. Next morning we were going to go for a run but again no heating or hot water. I rang someone who was at St Anne's. A, bit later tge heating came on. I rang back and was told the owner had done it remotely!. We went out for a walk got soaked so came back to the room cold again no hot water. I went down to speak to the man on reception and he insisted the room was set at a certain temperature and would come on. Our coats, were still wet we were cold. He said he'd put it up. He did so the room was then exceptionally hot and uncomfortable. The room was noisy both nights I had cotton wool in my ears tge first night. I e mailed at around 4am to say I was unhappy with the room the noise and the sliding bathroom door that sticks, and is awkward at night. The response I got was nothing more than dismissive and unapologetic. The only good side was the lady that left out the bags of breakfast and serviced the room she was lovely. Would not stay here again. More for younger people who crash out at 3am and lie in. Not for us!!

Thank you for your review and your positive comments, As mentioned in the pre arrival email that you received, Mode Lytham does not have its own parking, so we are not sure why you would have expected a parking spot. Parking is free on all surrounding roads and only £4.50 for 24 hours on the pay and display carpark located close to the hotel. Heating in the hotel as explained to you is a modern system, and can be controlled by guests in the room as per the in room instructions, or remotely by the hotel ie we do not need to access your room to turn it on which was explained to you. The temperature sensor in your room shows that it was at 21 degrees or higher at all times .We did apologise to you that the room was slightly cold on arrival and that you had not hot water, however this was fixed by Anna our General Manager for you within a few minutes. We are not sure why the room was noisy as you did not explain to us if the noise was from within the hotel or from outside. as no guest was in the room next to you. We would advise you to call us if you have issues during the night as we have staff on duty 24./7 as unfortunately we cannot asswer emails at 4am in the morning. We do hope that you will stay with us again. regards Andrew
