Staff on the door, in reception, in the bar, in the restaurant.... a seafront hotel 100 years old with lounges, space and even a pool and sauna next door. It's not cheap (especially if you go for balcony sea view, but that's what makes it memorable) but is is style.
The hotel had the same high standards as before. It was particularly pleasing to see many of the core staff still in place after this trying period. Says much for the management style of the company that some of these have been there for over 20 years.
Very tired rooms, hotel ok needs desperately updating. TV in room didn’t fit, decoration of room out of date felt like a 3* max paid far too much. Beds v uncomfortable. Hotel bar very nice and modern, service generally excellent
We have stayed here on numerous occasions but not over the last few years. Really good to be back and see the some of staff still here and the quality and standards remain. Just sorry to see the dining dress code has been relaxed , it was always good to have dinner with all the guests smart and well dressed.
Excellent place to spend a restful break. Comfortable hotel, first class staff, service & dining. Beautiful views along sea front leading to a Regency town with many individual shops. Connaught gardens a joy and plenty of flat walking in the area. Great sleeps too!
