We stayed in Lilypad, Apartment 2. Spacious, well appointed and clean with views from living area over the river. 2nd bedroom a little dark but very comfortable. Fans provided which were very useful. Although ŕight next to busy road we were not disturbed by noise. Initial entry to building at very narrow point in pavement and dangerous when negotiating with small children. That said we managed! (ANY CHANCE OF CREATING AN ENTRANCE AROIND THE SIDE)? Useful local information provided- easy keyless entry system in operation. One other suggestion - possible consider a hook on the back of the bathroom door? Thoroughly enjoyed our break and we'll br back.

Despite being a year later than first booked our apartment was worth the wait. It was superbly located in the centre of Stamford but not noisy. Parking is nearby in the long stay car park on wharf road and reasonably priced. Inside the apartment it was clean, modern and very well equipped and with lovey views over the river. We would have no hesitation in recommending it and hope to return soon!

This is the second time I have stayed in the Riverside Apartments and as always it was clean, comfortable and relaxing. The keyless entry is ideal as you can come and go from your apartment as often as you like. The apartment has a real luxurious home from home feeling and the staff can’t do enough for You, the location of the apartments is central so it’s perfect for exploring Stamford, thank you as always I can’t wait to come back.

My wife booked this accommodation for a short christmas break, it is described as a deluxe accommodation, deluxe means an abundance of luxury which is far from the truth, there is nothing in the accommodation that you can describe as deluxe. We were in the Willow Apartment Room 3 and I can only describe it as a bedsit suitable for student accommodation. The bland room has a small window overlooking a doctors car park, do not be fooled by the title or pictures you can not see the river from the room, the cooking utensils were grubby and rusty, you certainly would not use them to cook from,The pillows were stained and the kettle had lime scale all over it. I can only assume that the reviews are from the other rooms,we have stayed in many luxury apartments but in no way can you describe this as a luxury appartment, we left after 2 hours , the owners were not interested in our complaints and we lost £304 but to be fair I would rather lose the money than stay a minute longer.I'm quite sure the owners will say they have lots of great reviews, but I'm sure some people are delighted with budget accommodation.

Hello David This is disappointing that you felt the need to leave such a review. The experiences you’ve described are far from typical of the quality of service we pride ourselves on for every single guest. However, having read your list of bad reviews of many other businesses, it appears that most places you go to eat, drink and stay in, receive one-star reviews from you, with comprehensive complaints leading to refunds, free meals and credits despite those places generally having good reviews from other customers. I note that on the same visit, you ate the worst Italian food ever, at a nearby restaurant. I'm sorry you felt the need to add our apartments that list but will address your points below. Booking.com who you came to us through, are fortunately very vigilant and after investigating the validity of your claims for a full refund, they supported us in declining it and would not allow you to leave a review. They will also alert us if you try to book again and we have forewarned other local businesses of your actions. As you have mentioned of our 263 reviews on Booking.com our average score is 9.2/10 and the 38 reviews on Airbnb are an 5/5 which gives a true reflection of the standards we pride ourselves on. Relevant reviews specifically for the apartment you visited can be found here to give perspective: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/21433052 The Willow Suite is our only apartment not overlooking the river, which is noted on the listings and booking process, but your complaint started when you only realised this upon arrival. We would have happily relocated you to one of the three apartments with the river view if we were able, but as we were fully booked over the Christmas period this was not possible. In the two hours you then stayed in the apartment, you searched drawers and cupboards looking for faults, stripped back bedding, even pulled up drain covers and planted dirty glasses in cupboards. Upon inspection after your departure we discovered the following: You had pulled apart the shower drainage cover to take a close-up photo inside the waste unit and upload this without explanation of what it is. This is a covered internal part which should only be exposed for maintenance and not by guests. One of your photos sent to booking.com showed your own bottle of blackcurrant squash and box of beer in the background, this explained the dirty glasses we found planted in the cupboards stained with fresh blackcurrant and other liquids which you then complained about. These would have been found by our next guests to find had our cleaners not been so thorough. All radiators had been turned off leaving it cold for the next guests arriving. You found an older damaged pan which needed replacing but had been mistakenly placed in a cupboard. There were however several other pans and a full range of immaculate kitchen utensils, pots and cutlery at your disposal. Had you told us of this find, we would have happily directed you to more replacements in the storage cupboard adjacent to your apartment, we have now replaced this. Your reference to stained 'pillows' refers to the one pillow of eight which you stripped the cases and protectors from, to find a slight watermark which you photographed and appear to have enhanced for effect, even adding colour and contrast which was not visible to the naked eye. We had to check both sides looking for a mark resembling your photo, it was far less visible than your photo suggests, hence why our cleaners may not have noticed it during linen changes. There were seven more perfectly fine pillows for use. This pillow has now been replaced nonetheless, thank you for bringing it to our attention. Our kettles are descaled regularly as limescale builds up naturally as with all kettles. There was a slight build-up as per your photo, this has now been descaled again. I'm sorry you felt it necessary to add such poor review, we have taken your feedback on board and addressed the legitimate complaints as necessary. I hope this response helps travellers and other businesses alike. Best wishes Stamford Stays.

The Stamford Riverside apartments are right in the heart of Stamford. The one we stayed in had a living room and small kitchen downstairs, with sizeable bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The apartment was very well equipped and was extremely comfortable. You could walk to everywhere in the town and also to Burghley House. The only drawback is that there is no direct parking on site, but you are warned of this in advance. There is a NHS clinic across the road where you can park while offloading bags, etc, and a number of paid options within a short walk of the apartment. Well recommended.
