We spent two nights in this beautiful hotel located a few blocks from the shops and restaurants of the inner city of Vienna. It was recommended by a friend who was familiar with it and he was right! Not only was the room terrific, it had the biggest bathroom I have ever seen.

We have just returned from 3 nights at this great hotel,The staff were all so helpful and we never had to ask for our keys as soon as they sore us arriving back ,the keys were given to us.The food was all excellent and well cooked. The location of this hotel must be one of the best in Vienna.Room 32 is a fantastic size with everything you could need.

This hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of Vienna within easy walking distance of restaurants and cafes and transport. Its vaulted roofs in the reception and dining areas indicate its original design as the stable for the cathedral next door. It has real atmosphere and Mozart (who also died only a few blocks away) dined there, the hotel being the oldest in Vienna. Our favourite place to eat though was the Cafe Schwarzenberg and the Cuck cuck both walkable via the cobblestone back streets.
The only down side was the rooms were a little overheated but the staff were friendly and concierges helpful with Michael in particular able to help with opera and concert tickets.
Thank WendyYoudell

I have to begin this review with the fact that this was my 25th visit to this hotel and this city. The point of stating this is to let everyone know how wonderful both are. Usually people ask me if I have family in Vienna...I don't...so maybe that is even a better sign!!! I have been coming here long enough to see changes, but they have always been for the better. Everyone who stays here always come back and at every stay, I have seen guests wanting to extend their stay. I have never had the quality of staff in any hotel that this hotel has. People can make a difference in everything and it does here too. The hotel still has all the warmth and comfort of home, as when I had my first visit, 17 years ago. The rooms are so comfortable and everyone is different in interior design. The rooms with tubs are amazing (some rooms have just the showers). If you need to soak any sore muscles from a day of tours, this is the place to be. I have never seen tubs this deep before. When I sit on the edge of the tub, my feet do not touch the floor!!! Our in some bubble bath and recline on the slanted tub for a great relaxation!!! I can't think of any place in Vienna I would rather stay. It just has the most perfect location. If you think you would enjoy this wonderful place, please keep in mind, to book as far in advance as possible. I do my reservation 10-12 months in advance. But a stay here, will truly add to your stay in Vienna.

I was a little disappointed at first that we didn't get a traditional room but a contemporary design room in the modern wing. But I was very happy with the aircondition - it was very hot outside but our room could be ice cold if we wanted it to be. The room was huge, with huge bathroom (plus with a separate toilet even though there was one in the bathroom too), lots of closet space. The whole hotel is very nice and cosy. The brakfast buffet was good and several hot dishes were made to order. Location is excellent. Service in the bar was slow (most of the time there was nobody there - had to go and look for them). Next time I'll stay in a traditional room.

Thank you very much for your feedback. The rooms in the new tract are located in an over 110-year-old, neo-Gothic house which was built by Emil Förster, one of the leading fugures of historism era. The Viennese designer room is a rhapsody of color, space, and light. The rooms stand out with their subtle contrasts and perfect harmony. Color tones and furniture design vary on each floor. Colors such as blooming lavender, gorse, or mint inspire creative thinking. The single rooms have an area of 20 m². At 50 m², our spacious double rooms have an inviting room layout including a large bathroom with bathtub and separately accessible shower. Once again. thank you and best regards from Vienna

I have never stayed in a noisy room. All the widows are triple glazed and that reduces the outside noise to almost zero. Inside noise is almost non existent.
