Room very basic but generally adequate. Plus points: God location, nice lobby area and staff were friendly. WiFi seemed ok for me. Negatives: far too warm overnight especially with the very heavy duvet which is the only bedding available, had to leave the window open even though it was -9 C outside, this meant it was very noisy. Not enough pillows, 1 very flat pillow makes for an uncomfortable night for people used to more. I kept migrating to the divot in between the two narrow single beds making up the double as the curve in the mattresses was very pronounced. Not the cleanest room. Little sound proofing inside and very noisy from adjacent rooms. Could hear the person above coughing / sneezing / walking around and even zipping their suitcase at 6am!

Our stay at the Central hotel- Innsbruck was marred by several issues, and I feel compelled to share our unpleasant experience. Upon our arrival, we were shocked to discover that the hotel had unilaterally upgraded our room without any prior notice. This was a major problem for us, as we had specific accessibility requirements due to my son's wheelchair. The new room they provided required climbing up to the bed, which was impossible for my son to manage. We had, in fact, informed the hotel of our accessibility needs via email in advance of our stay, and this information was completely disregarded. Instead of addressing our concerns and trying to rectify the situation, the hotel staff flatly refused to give us our originally booked room, which met our specific requirements. This lack of accommodation was both disheartening and unacceptable. What's worse, the staff's attitude was nothing short of appalling. Rather than showing empathy and professionalism, they engaged in a heated argument and tried to threaten us. This type of behavior is entirely incompatible with the level of service one expects from a reputable establishment. As paying customers, we anticipated a respectful and customer-centric approach from the Central Hotel. However, our experience was marred by neglect, an utter disregard for our pre-communicated needs, and an aggressive response when we sought assistance. It's regrettable to say that our stay was a severe disappointment, and we strongly caution anyone, especially with accessibility needs, against booking a stay here. We believe it's essential to share our experience to prevent others from enduring the same mistreatment and frustration that we encountered during our stay at this hotel.

We never had the WiFi working in our room at Central Hotel in Innsbruck. There is no air conditioning and the window bumped the headboard on the bed when trying to open it fully. We had a noisy fan that was inadequate. It got cool outside at night, but between the noise outside and the window not opening fully, it never got cool. Our room was too small. The bathroom sink had an extender that we bumped into when using toilet. I am not that fussy of a person, but this hotel was not even close to being adequate. The breakfast was very good. Staff pretended that I could get internet when I inquired about it, but it NEVER worked. The lobby was cool and comfortable and we just dreaded going to our hot little room. We added an extra night on a bike tour we were on and it cost us $240 extra for that night. What a ripoff! Upon checkout, no one asked how our stay was. I am sure they didn’t want to hear.

HORROR!!!! Room temperature 28/29 degrees all the time, we stayed 5 days and sweated constantly. They only give you a Chinese fan that moves hot air. Bad cleaning, I called reception as THEY HAD NOT MADE ROOM, clean bathroom mirror only on my protest. At check-out I forgot dirty laundry in bag, warned the same day they denied having found it, really bad behavior. They will surely have online shops where they can resell forgotten items. I REALLY do not recommend this hotel

The Hotel Central was built in 1884 and is on a pedestrian mall in Innsbruck. We were able to unload the car by the hotel entrance and park in a nearby underground garage. Our room was very nice with a marble bathroom but no A/C. The hotel had a large restaurant where we had the included breakfast each morning. For some reason the restaurant closed at 19:00 every night so we never had dinner there.

Perfect location. East walking to the coolest town along our European journey. Room was basic, clean and very comfy beds. We enjoyed the sauna room in the evening. Only suggestion is to have coffee in the rooms or at least in the lobby free of charge for guests.

Tiny dark bedroom, with a malfunctioning sliding door to the bathroom. No kettle etc. Hotel and Cafe is in desperate need of investment, refurbishment. Do not confuse old fin de siecle charm with fin de le monde dilapidation. Please avoid.

very very poor wifi. I never loaded a page successfully. I tried to have some internet connection at other area in the hotel eg lobby and top floor. It doesn't work. OK , some may say I will just use my data. But the signal in the room was poor too. Very slow.

Hotel is next to a very very loud building site that starts work at 7am. Whole hotel was shaking with drilling, riveting, hammering and machinery. No warning given about this prior to our stay. Rest of hotel is pleasant, but the noise was off the scale

Great hotel. The location was the best imaginable. The staff was very helpful and breakfast very good with multiple choices. However not suitable for vegans (or they have to ask for vegan food). But the best thing was the free electrical bike rental! Innsbruck is a great city to travel by bike so the bike rental was great!
