This is a lovely hotel in the centre of Innsbruck, close to everything. The breakfasts are lovely. No kettles in the room but a tea and coffee machine downstairs. Nothing to complain about. Would return. There is a ski room downstairs to dump your stuff.

Close to the perfect hotel! lovely big room (43) great view over the river to the city and the mountains beyond. The buffet breakfast was very high quality with a great choice of options. There is a nice relaxed and friendly bar with great prices. A short lovely walk gets you into the centre of the city or to bus and tram stops to get you further afield. We were skiing and visited 7 ski resorts in 7 days all by ski or public bus from 3 bus stops between 5 and 8 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel provide all the necessary information for skiing and they have a ski rack and a heated boot rack.

Nice old hotel just across the bridge from Innsbruck old town the Golden Roof and shopping area. Our room was clean and adequate as we only used it for one night and it didn’t have a view if I was staying for longer I would book one with a river city view. Reception staff were excellent when we needed them for information and booking taxis Bar staff and breakfast staff also excellent and pleasant. The hotel has a lovely bar just of the reception area.

This was our first time in Innsbruck. We had an excellent stay between Christmas and New Year. Location was perfect, most attractions within walking distance with access to Aldstadt across the bridge. There was a Market Hall nearby to pick up sandwiches, fruit and snacks. Hotel Mondschein supplied us with a Welcome card that allowed us free transport on the buses across the region. The staff were helpful suggesting trips we could do outside of the Innsbruck Card that we purchased. Would highly recommend getting the Innsbruck pass - really good value for money! The breakfast is continental but the staff also supply scrambled eggs. However there was plenty of choice outside of this Juices, all the teas you can ask for. I loved that lots of the food was supplied in jars not in plastic containers - very eco friendly! The little bar next door was lovely and cosy. Glass of wine and a beer were roughly €8. We had an internal room which was quiet and comfortable. The bed was king size with separate duvets which was a treat. The bathroom was clean with soap, body lotion and shampoo included. Easy access to the airport on the bus, about 20 minutes end to end. Would recommend Hotel Mondschein to anyone looking to stay in Innsbruck.

Room Tip: Innsbruck Card was essential to our trip. Nordkatte is €40ish off the bat so definitely worth it!

Our second stay at this lovely hotel. Excellent location across the river just a short stroll from the Old town. They kindly upgraded our room to a mountain view room but it also had a fabulous view of the Christmas market. Lovely staff, very helpful with information, excellent breakfast, and if you book direct (rather than through a third party) the parking is free which is a great bonus in a city. Cosy little bar too. We will definately return to this hotel in the future.

A beautiful little hotel, a stones throw from the city centre. We absolutely loved our stay (3 nights) here. Every person we encountered, from reception to the bar were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of variety and the ladies serving food were so kind, friendly and hospitable. I asked for scrambled eggs made with no milk which was no problem for them and it was delicious! I stayed in a single room and the single bed was a reasonable size and super comfortable. I asked for extra pillows due to a sore shoulder (usually the large one provided would’ve been enough) and they appeared that evening! If you’re lucky enough to get a room at the front of the building, the views are stunning and even though the hotel is opposite a vehicle bridge and road, we had minimal road noise and the room was very quiet, especially at night which was perfect. Thanks for a great stay!

A lovely hotel in a beautiful city. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel very clean and well kept despite being 550 years old! The staff were helpful. Breakfast was tasty and the bar was a nice place to sit and play games of an evening.

A very nice hotel in an historic building and within easy walking distance of the old town. We had a room with a city view across the river and with mountains behind it which was lovely and although the hotel is on the main road it was quiet at night. There is air conditioning which kept us lovely and cool especially as we were there during a spell of lovely hot weather. The room itself was comfortable and clean and the bathroom nice and modern. Ours did not have the separate toilet so all rooms are not the same. When we switched the lights off at night we were treated to a starry sky on the ceiling which was a really nice touch. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room but an unlimited supply of hot drinks can be made at the machine in the bar at no extra cost. Breakfast was really nice in a lovely light and airy dining room on the first floor, apparently they source things locally and there was a good choice including made to order scrambled eggs. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Innsbruck.
