Beautiful hotel in a residential part of town within 15 minutes walking distance from old town. Excellent breakfast buffet, spacious rooms (with a huge bathroom and closet - unusual for European hotels.) Staff is friendly and attentive. All of the recommendations for local restaurants we tried were excellent. We had fruit and water waiting for us in our room after a 2.5 hour train ride from Vienna - a welcomed touch that meant a lot.

We had a great experience from start to finish. Check in was so easy, we received a lot of information on the town and sites, maps, etc. The lady that helped us also called and made a reservation for dinner for us that night and canceled another reservation for us. Wow! Our room was perfect, lots of closet space, drawers and hooks to hang towels/robes/etc. The heated bathroom floor was a nice touch. Also coffee, tea and water in the room that was refreshed every day. A welcome drink was offered to us the afternoon we arrived, which was another nice touch. The breakfast would bring me back to this hotel on our next trip to Salzburg. Anything you could want for breakfast, everything is so fresh, the staff is replenishing items constantly. We ordered the omelet a couple of days too, fantastic. The Sauna and steam area was awesome, we had planned to visit a spa somewhere in the area, but instead took advantage of the sauna area here instead. We did like that this hotel was a short walk from the train station and to the historical center. And finally, every morning there was information provided on the breakfast tables with info of the day in Salzburg. We wouldn't have known about the awesome Thursday market that was right around the corner if it weren't for this little booklet. Truly a perfect stay, a great end to a two week trip for us.

Located 10-15’ on foot from the old town, the Hotel Auersperg is an elegant, comfortable and convenient place to stay in Salzburg. Nicely renovated in an older building, the owners did not make design compromises. It has a small restaurant, used for breakfast as well, a spa, a garden, a rooftop terrace, a play room for children. We did not miss anything. It consists of two buildings next to each other, one being the ‘hotel’, the other the villa.
We took a suite for two adults and two children < 10 years. The suite has two bathrooms, can be partitioned with sliding doors and was large enough for us.
There is an outdoor, paying car park at the back, as street parking is only allowed for a few hours.
We had dinner one evening in the restaurant, and the food was quite good.

The only complaints we had were the sound proofing of the windows towards the street (double glazing). Although there is little traffic, you can hear every car or conversation on the street, so my sleep wasn’t the best. Thursday rubbish collection is at 5.30am… Also, the service at restaurant was friendly, but not very competent.
So, overall an excellent, if expensive, address in Salzburg, but consider a room at the back.

Nice and clean rooms and excellent breakfast.
Staff is making a good job too
Overall our experience was great and I definitely would recommend staying here. And with ~€200 per double room this is a really good deal, especially if you consider the Centre location

My wife and I stayed at this hotel when we came to Salzburg to get married in November 2020. We were met with such a kind staff that took wonderful care of us and made it possible to escape from the difficulties and stress we experienced getting married during a pandemic. They went above and beyond with their service to make up for the fact that restaurants were closed by serving our take out food to us in a private and intimate setting in their bar area. It was exactly what we needed after our wedding. The room was clean and well-decorated with a nice view of their garden. We definitely recommend getting a massage while there and checking out their spa. An all around perfect experience and we will definitely be staying there again on our next trip to Salzburg.

We booked this hotel last minute due to our previous booking at another hotel being cancelled.
This hotel was lovely, very warm and welcoming with friendly staff. Our room was a lot bigger then we expected and spotlessly clean. We were surprised with Mountain Views too!
The breakfast is a fantastic selection of organic meats, cheeses, fruit and breads with some hot options.
We was worried the hotel maybe a little too far out but it is only a 10-12 min walk to the old town. We didn't get chance to use the Spa or Massage Room due to lots of pre planned tours we had already booked. We will definitely book here again when we next return and use the Spa as it has great reviews.
Thank you for such a wonderful stay!!!

Staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly at the hotel. We stayed in the Villa and the rooms are very well laid out, I could even make a cup of tea as there was a kettle. Every possible choice was catered for at Breakfast so you would never go hungry. They also offer and cater for Gluten free guests. We didnt use the spa so I can't comment. The outdoor bar was a lovely garden area to sit in and enjoy a drink at the end of the day and we also enjoyed sitting in the hotel bar after returning from a meal in the evening. The location is very good, only 10 mins walk to the Altstadt and its only a short 20 mins transfer to the airport. There are a couple of good restaurants within a 4 mins walk. Would definitely stay here again.

My fiancé and I went to stay from Saturday till Thursday, and we were treated excellent with up must professionalism from start to finish. To begin with, we booked a week later than our actual arrival day, and we only learned this on the same day, as we arrived. We immediately expected the worst, but the hotel accommodated our situation and installed us in the Vila next to the hotel, without any extra costs. Just like that! No panic, no irritation. The hotel is so well decorated, with a perfect blend of modern architecture and old fashioned style. Anyway that was our impression. Room was spacious enough for two adults, comfy beds and nice size bathroom.

Breakfast was great! Everything felt fresh and organic. The bio-yoghurt specially is really delicious, so that is a must. Croissants were also yummy.

Location is also fine. It is around a 10 minute walk from Altstadt/Oldtown and centre of Salzburg. And only 10-15 minutes walk from main central train station.

Of course given the hotel’s flexibility, and top service, we only have positive remarks on our stay.

Unfortunately we didn’t take any photos, but trust us, when we say this is a great hotel.

We just love this boutique hotel in the heart of Salzburg. We got this fabulous room in the 3rd floor of the adjoining villa. You just feel like a local staying in this quiet area. The rooms are large and well appointed. There is a tranquil garden for guest, a stunning spa roof top and fantastic breakfast. Parking isn’t free, but importantly available to house guests as are E-bikes. The hotel vision is all about nature, the environment which the hotel own bees further articulate.

An amazing place and hopefully we will be back soon.

The room was spacious with everything you would expect but the air conditioning stopped working every night and the room got too hot. Location is OK most of the attractions of Salzburg are within 10 to 15 minutes walk.

Also do not walk around without thick soled shoes I the room ours had a nail sticking up in the middle of the bathroom doorway that I narrowly avoided a serious injury on.

Nice breakfast and lovely garden to spend time in

Hello krcb197, thanks a lot for your feedback. We always open for criticism, so we are thankful for receiving your information. We will check what happened and definitely we will make sure that it is not possible any more to get injured by a nail in the room. Perhaps you can provide me with your room number and the information, when you stayed with us? (p.toscany@auersperg.at) We really want to apologize - perhaps you can give us an other chance upon your next Salzburg-visit, so we can proof that we can do it better :-) Thanks a lot!
