Just returned from a 7 night stay at this resort. Lots of pros and cons. Strap in, it’s long. **Pros** Great variety of food. Main restaurant has themed nights which are great, especially oriental night on Thursdays! The Pan-Asian and Italian restaurants (Italian adults only which we appreciated) are also wonderful and a must for your stay. Book early as they fill up. Pan-Asian however doesn’t know the difference between udon noodles and linguine which I found odd. Snack bar does a wide variety of food like sandwiches and pizza throughout the day. Great location. The beach is very small, but the sea is lovely to swim in. 25 minute walk to Paphos harbour (recommend visiting the world heritage site) and 5 minute walk to small supermarket. Watersports right outside the hotel should you want to indulge. You’ll be able to see a gorgeous sunset right outside every evening which I loved. Cleanliness! Rooms and hotel areas very clean. Hand sanitiser everywhere. Housekeeping is efficient and happy to hand out extras (towels, toilet paper) if needed. Beds very comfy, spacious bathrooms with a decent shower and good air conditioning. We had paid extra for a sea view room and the view was lovely and worth the extra cost. Sunbed allocation is a nice touch and means you don’t have to wake up early to secure a bed as you’ll have the same ones for your whole stay. I recommend the ones on the grass facing the sea, as the ones around the pool are surrounded by kids and get noisy. They also provide you with nice big beach towels every day. You & Me bar is a nice place to relax with lovely attentive bar staff. Overall the hotel staff are polite and helpful. There’s plenty of entertainment although all the main entertainment is indoors inside the hotel which seems a shame. **Now to cons:** The hotel has somewhat of an issue with large, rowdy families who turn up in groups of 10-20+ to attend one of the many weddings/receptions you’ll see when you’re there, most of them to be very blunt are chav weddings. Problem is they don’t enjoy supervising their own children (so many sun burnt, crying, destructive and loud toddlers) which brings me to… …If you don’t have kids/don’t like kids, You MUST book your room in the “adults only” section. We didn’t because none were available at the time, but the stay would have been improved insurmountably if we did. The resort is crawling with kids even in term time (not sure why people selfishly take small babies to these resorts either) and if you book adults only, you’ll have a room on the adults side of the hotel. Our room was on the regular side, above the main restaurant and all we heard during mealtimes were screaming, crying kids. We had to keep the balcony door closed much of the time. You will also be able to use the adults only Serenity pool, which I really wish we could have used as the main pool is full of kids at all times, swarming the swim up bar area with huge inflatables. They also run up and down the hotel corridors screaming and woke us up very early more than once. None of the adults only/regular area rules were explained to us at all so it was confusing. Your mini fridge will be sorely neglected as after the first day it’s not replenished at all except for a bottle of water. I’ve stayed in 3 and 4 star resorts that fill your mini fridge every day, so why a supposed 5 star can’t do the same is anyone’s guess. It was a little annoying to have to listen to Baby Shark every day and other kids songs at the main pool during “mini disco”. There are dedicated kid’s entertainment areas/rooms so I feel this should have been done there so as not to disrupt the main pool area. Yes, it may only be 20 minutes, but that’s 20 minutes every day of extremely loud, annoying children’s songs when you’re trying to relax. The pool is very big (split into 2 sections) but it’s let down by the strange choice to have a pool liner instead of tiles and concrete (you can see the huge folds and creases in people’s photos) It bunches up and splits in areas and you’ll stub your toe or worse, cut yourself. Also looks green and mouldy in places around the edges because of the liner detaching itself. Just invest in proper pool tiles?! Small gripe but just found it strange for a supposed 5 star hotel?? It’s also absolutely freezing cold. As in, gasp out loud cold. It’s not heated and the sun isn’t enough to warm it so prepare to shiver. There is NO alcohol in the drinks. At all. I’m a classic lightweight and I’m usually tipsy after 2 drinks…I could drink 5 or 6 in a row here and not feel one single effect. Also noticed I didn’t see a single drunk or even tipsy person during my stay (this is no bad thing, but just reinforces there’s nothing in the drinks) Drinks very nice despite this, but after 11:30pm you have to pay extra for them?! In what world?? God knows what is in the bottles they pour from, because it isn’t alcoholic. At mealtimes in the main restaurant we noticed the OAP guests always having their drinks refreshed but nobody ever refreshed ours. It’s table service so no access to drinks unless they’re brought to you and you will wait ages. To sum up, if you’re without kids, book the adults only side of the hotel and you’ll have a great time! It’s VERY family/wedding oriented which is wonderful if you’re with kids, but I’d have liked to know beforehand how child and wedding focused it is. Despite this, we would come back in a heartbeat if we could have access to the adults only areas. A lesson learned, and overall one of the nicer all inclusive resorts I’ve stayed in, however most definitely not a 5 star resort, more like 3.5/4 star but with a 5 star price tag.

Hotel's Favourite
Just returned from 7 nights at this beautiful hotel. We travelled with friends for a weeks relaxation and we could not have been happier. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is amazing, and the pool areas are absolutely gorgeous. We cannot find fault with anything about our stay. There are hand sanitiser stations everywhere, all the staff wear face coverings, as well as the guests in the indoor areas. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, the service is brilliant. There is plenty of choice at the bar, as well as a great range of dishes in the buffet restaurant. I can also recommend the Seven Orchids Pan Asian restaurant- the food is exceptional. Cannot recommend this hotel enough, it was excellent!!

We have just returned after 2 weeks as guests of the Olympic Lagoon. Both the hotel and their staff really live up to their 5 star rating. The staff were always very attentive and friendly. We stayed in the adult only area and Irena and Stella made sure we were well looked after and nothing was ever too much trouble. In the buffet restaurant the lovey Head of service (sorry can't remember her name) alway greeted us with a lovely smile each morning :) The food was exceptional and the best all inclusive we have been to. A shout out also to Souzanne (hope we spelt it right) was absolutely charming. The room and hotel were also spotless at all time. The evening entertaintment was brilliant and of a very high standard for a hotel. We spent most evenings in the You & Me bar which was very relaxing and had a lovely vibe as it was only for adults later in the evening. The Assistant Manager (George we think was his name) never let our glasses go empty! The staff are a real credit to this hotel, so much so, that we have already booked a return for late 2023!!!!

Cyprus is such a great Island and the Olympic lagoon (Pahos) is an excellent (all inclusive) place to stay, for the second time this year, this time for 10 nights. It is the kind and friendly staff that make this such a great place to stay, from the first contact at reception, to restaurant staff and drinks staff. All were so friendly and made sure our stay was excellent having such a fantastic time. If I can afford it, will certainly be back next year

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday here and have listed pros and cons below Cons: 1. Only a weeks worth of entertainment - they have a big theatre but the entertainment is the same shows every single week most of them done by the in house entertainment team so only one outside act which was utterly rubbish. 2. Allocation of sunbeds - when you get there you must be allocated a sun bed but this is done via a rubber pencil and piece of paper there was arguments everyday so people were allocated sunbeds on top of other people 3. Evening food really is not that great - pretty much the same food every night with only one or two items differing even though every night claims to be a different cuisine 4. We both caught tonsillitis out here and the hotel could not of been less bothered - we asked if we could have our room a couple extra hours on the day we checked out and they wanted 80 euros for 4 extra hours… 5. Staff at breakfast has not continuity - one day you can orange feuit juice next day it’s get it yourself from inside the breakfast buffet 7. There is no adults only area unless you are in a premium room and if your not staying in one you are denied access to an entire pool and bar which is the only adults only area in the hotel which seems ridiculous for a 5 star. 8. There is an Italian restaurant on site that you get access to free or charge and it doesn’t even serve basic dishes like pizza..? Not sure how that’s classed as an Italian 9. They have 1 weeks of bigs shows inside and then a weeks worth of acts outside but unless your into bad singing and piano type music that entertainment is not going to be for you. 10. Says there is a strict dress code yet I saw people turning up in tracksuit bottoms… Pros: 1. Bar staff of an evening can’t be beat always happy always friendly 2. Rooms are okay for what you need them for 3. Location is great which lots of stuff within walking distance We work hard to have a 2 week holiday and I would not waste your money coming here to be disappointed .

My second fortnight this year and 5th or 6th visit overall. What really sets this hotel above and apart from others are the Staff, many of whom have been there for some years. A Hotel that can keep their staff year after year must be doing something right! A cheerful "kalameera" (good morning) goes down well with the staff as does "efareesto" (thank you) to which you'll get the reply "para kaloor" (you're welcome). Oh, I nearly forgot - I walk with two sticks as a result of spinal surgery followed by Rheumatoid Arthritis and in the Buffet Restaurant I sometimes have a little "wobble". The mother hens are the Hostesses and Waiting staff who tend to keep an eye on me and if they see me struggle with a stick in one hand and a plate in the other, one of them will shepherd me back to my table - number 47! What's not to like when staff help like that? I'm now looking to book my Easter break next year!!

We have just returned after an 11 night stay. Perfect holiday. Hotel was exceptional . Absolutely spotless. All staff went out of the way to be helpful and very welcoming. Buffet restaurant provided exceptional choice in food. Pan asia al a carte and Rock and roll diner well worth visit. Rooms were of a high standard with kettle and tea/ making available. The entertainment was of high standard . Big shout out to Robin Ben snd Adam and the girls. They work very hard all day and night. Also shout out to Elena who was part of waitress service in the bars both downstairs and in the Experience bar. She got to know what we drank and chatted to us, even making the effort to come and say goodbye. Negatives are the sun-bed allocation which in theory works but we did see some problems with some being double allocated and not having a choice of where they were allocated. Maybe some revising on that. Tui representative not the most enthusiastic and could have been more knowledgable. Managers at this hotel can be proud of everything especially the amazing staff they are a credit to the Olympic lagoon. Lastly, we are already planning a return trip in 2023 as this was best hotel we have ever stayed at.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at OL Paphos. The hotel was amazing and the staff could not do enough for us, so friendly and polite. We found the food fantastic, different themes each night and the choice of a la carte restaurants which we tried all of them. Great choice of food to suit everyone. The pools were good, enjoyed the swimming. Sun beds were allocated which was fantastic but some choose to ignore this and bed hop. The kiosk just needs to enforce the allocation before handing out towels. Entertainment crew work so hard day and night. We really enjoyed the shows especially Greatest showman and Grease. Special mention to Hannah and Robin who we had some lovely chats with and got to know Hannah well. All the crew are amazing. The low note that Robin hit in the GS was brilliant and Hannahs singing, wow, wonderful voices. As they all have. Loved Frankie Valli with Adam and Ben as well. The hostesses in the restaurant and the Experience Arena go above and beyond especially Souzana the hostess and Elena in the Arena serving us drinks all night. They went the extra mile and can’t thank them enough. We stayed in a Deluxe room with sea and pool view and it was lovely. Great view. Room was comfortable and had everything we need. They have a few knocks and scratches but nothing than spoiled our time. At the end of the day you’re not in it all day. Beds are really comfy and you can ask for extra pillows. Nothing is too much trouble. Hotel is extremely clean and the staff work tirelessly to keep it that way. Beach across the way is small and has a large bank of seaweed which put us off from swimming in the sea but we loved swimming in the pool and the swim up bars. We walked into the Harbour which was nice. Many of the shops and the market is closed either permanently or for renovations which meant we did not do many trips. We did go to the archeological site which was fantastic but hot so take water with you. There is a shop on the second floor in the hotel where you’re able to get all sorts, suncreams, drinks which we topped up the fridge. Recommend you book the a la carte restaurant quickly as they get booked up. All in all we had a very relaxing two weeks and can’t wait to return.
