Detailed Reviews
This bed and breakfast was a great place to stay near Vik! The food was very good, and the room clean and warm. We went in to pet the goats, sheep, and dogs, and everyone was very friendly. We extra appreciated the efforts they made to plow the driveway from the main road into the parking spaces.
Also, don't miss the hand knitted sweaters made on site from the farm's sheep! They are an excellent price and quality, and unique designs.

Booked here through our tour company. We were running a bit late so called ahead to make sure that we could have dinner when we arrived.
Checked in and went to our room. Spartan but fine for what we needed. Went to the restaurant and had dinner which was just terrific. Everything was fresh and delicious and we enjoyed chatting with one of the owners. This place is family owned and operated and it shows.
Recommend if you're staying in the ares.

In this place the staff makes you feel genuinely welcome and home. They are incredibly friendly and hardworking.
The rooms, facilities, bathrooms, everything is spotless clean, functional and practical. Breakfast was good and location is excellent. There is nothing to fault.
In general its cozy and feels great to stay there. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

This was our third lodging on the ring road. We really liked the farm and seeing all the animals. The rooms were nice and clean and although the bathrooms were shared, there were plenty. Very clean and nice.
Dinner was excellent. I would recommend this guesthouse

Nice rooms on a farm that was partially converted to a bed and breakfast. The property has been in the family for 3 generations; very warm hosts. The breakfast buffet is simple but nice. The only drawback is that it's removed from the city, so you should definitely have a car.

The room is soo small we hardly had room for our suitcases and very dark. If you wanted any privacy you need to close the shades and the room is very dark. Very basic room NO TV. Breakfast was over priced even for Iceland. Staff was nice and the rooms were clean.

+1
We arrived late and just wanna have a good sleep before the glacier hike in the next morning. Comfortable bedroom with nice shower. The pantry allows us to cook simple pasta but the ventilation is not good enough. Clean and tidy but wifi is not so strong on the first floor.

We were disappointed by this property. It called itself a guesthouse and we had stayed in other Icelandic guesthouses where we were warmly welcomed into homes and shown hospitality. Not this one.
We pulled up in front of reception tired and cold and were greeted by a gruff man who gave us a key and pointed vaguely to the left. There we found that a shed had been converted into small rooms all in a line with fixtures and fittings like a student dorm. Small, charmless and with cheap fittings. The bathroom taps were loose and the shower had a curtain. It reminded me of a hospital room.
At the end of the building was a seating area where young people were heating up fast food in a microwave.
We made some pasta in a communal student-type kitchen which was the only place with a wifi signal and was in the barn opposite. It took us a while to find this kitchen as the gruff man did not seem willing to display any customer service by properly showing us where to go in the pouring cold rain.
Breakfast was composed of cheap supermarket breads and items, a far cry from the delicious homemade breakfasts with home produce that we had found in the genuine guesthouses of Iceland. I expect if you are 20 years old and have spent some days in a camper van then this place must have seemed very good.
But for us who had expected a certain standard for the high price it was very poor indeed and I would recommend looking elsewhere for comfort, hospitality and value.

This place is simple and lovely. It seemed brand new due and was spotlessly clean and charmingly decorated in a "farmhouse chic" kind of way. Sleeping was easy because the place is so quiet. During our stay, we were even treated to a 2-hour display of the Northern Lights, which made it especially memorable, as did the frisky dogs, one named "Perla."
Even without Aurora Borealis, though, you'll be very comfortable here. Breakfast the next morning was great, with ample to choose from. Even though guests share the showers, there are enough that you don't have to wait long, if at all, and sinks are included in each room.

A nice place to stay outside of Vik! It is larger than the other farmhouses we stayed at and was a little closer to a hotel feel than a farmhouse. The guesthouse had a lot of rooms and was recently renovated, so therefore brand new and more modern than other B&Bs (we had originally booked a room with a shared bathroom, but were emailed after to say we were upgraded to a private bathroom due to renovations, which was very nice). Since we were the only guests that night, we had the whole guesthouse to ourselves. The breakfast was decent, nothing fancy but just what we needed to get our day going. The owner was very nice, and had an adorable dog that ran around outside.

I believe there probably are, although I did not do any riding.
