Detailed Reviews
Room 7 in second floor is a bit small for 4 people. There’s not enough space to open two suitcases. Room 3 which entered through the kitchen is much more roomy for 4 people, but as it’s next to the kitchen, noise from the morning and evening time could be expected. There’s no table in our room but only a chair where I can put my laptop. There were two toilets on the second floor, both with showers. The kitchen is small but fully equipped, with a dishwasher, coffee and tea. The location is very convenient, and a friendly owner who provided us with maps and advices.

Room Tip: For quad-room, take room 3

Guesthouse clean, with communal kitchen equipped but small. Room 3 is adjacent to the communal kitchen and therefore all noises are heard. Bathroom outside the shared room on the ground floor, shower on the first floor. Great location convenient to restaurants and shops.

Well we decided to come for the weekend to Vestmana-bird Island. The day was nice and sunny and we even saw 2 puffins from world's largest puffin population. Nice place but heating doesn't seem to be working in all house. IT Was Freezing!!!😱❄️😅, and we came from Reykjavik were we live😆

Easy to find in this tiny island. You get a keycode to get into the house and your room. Very clean and probably the best beds we had in any of the guesthouses or hostels we stayed during our 2 week travel in Iceland.
Kids enjoyd the Netflix on the tv before sleep. Parking was easy with the tips of the owner. Walking distance to everything that is in the town and the lava field was basically in the backyard.
For brekky tip, the Skyr bar is right across the street and served excellent smoothies, only minus was it didnt open until 9am.

The location was perfect, as there are quality restaurants basicly by the doorstep, giving you plenty to choose from, after a long day of hiking in the beautiful landscape. The hygiene was on point, and the kitchen is well equiped, if you want to have dinner or coffee at home. Overall a very nice experience!

This is an old house and the facilities are in line with that.
We were 2 adults and 2 children and we were in a room on the lower floor. We had to walk through the shared kitchen to get to the room. We noticed all the activity in the kitchen.
Shared bathroom without shower, but it would need significant renovations. Two shared showers upstairs.
The house is not soundproof.
The beds were nice and it was convenient to have number locks on the doors.
The location is very good and parking is in front of the house.

Great hostel, close to everything, a friend and I came here for just 1 night, room was a bit small, but hey I am not here for sleeping. Clean, bathrooms are pristine, so worth the 5 star. Easy walk to eldfell, take some hiking shoes, also this is self check in hostel, but owners were here to greet us. Top notch

We were a little nervous in booking here seeing the slope of the roof above some of the beds (my husband is very tall), but those fears were unfounded. The beds were comfortable, there was more than enough clearance where we never came close to hitting the ceiling.
Received an email earlier in the day with the code to get into the front door and our room. Our room was upstairs with the bathroom across the hall, the house is well built enough that we didn't hear people coming/going or using the bathroom in the middle of the night.
While we didn't use the kitchen beyond filling our water bottles, I was surprised by how well stocked it seemed. Including some very nice cast iron pans!

Við fengum herbergi inn af sameiginlegu eldhúsi. Það var umgangur um eldhúsið svo að segja allan sólarhringinn og allt heyrðist á milli. Alls ekki boðlegt að leigja herbergið út (og ekki var það ódýrt), við hefðum alveg eins getað sofið inní eldhusi eða fram á gangi. Við sendum kvörtun á hótelið, en þeir gerðu ekkert fyrir okkur. Get alls ekki mælt með þessum stað.
