The Phoenix Hotel is a charming surprise in Reykjavik. It is close to the sights of the city centre, and offers very quiet rooms that are tastefully decorated. The included breakfasts are superbly done. The owners are extremely friendly hosts who took great care of us and provided lots of information about the sites of Reykjavik. This was the perfect place to stay while in Reykjavik!

Hotel Phoenix has a homey feeling, like a bed and breakfast. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of so many attractions. The cozy room was cleaned daily and there was even turn down service with chocolate on the pillow. Bottled water was in the room too. Having a view of the backyard was really pleasant. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful; eggs, cheese, tomatoes, jam, warm rolls, and famous Icelandic Skyrr were some of the items served, in addition to coffee and tea. The owners are amazing. They really know how to run a hotel. It was truly an honor to stay at Hotel Phoenix, for a much needed vacation. Reykjavik, is an incredible city with so much to see and do. Hotel Phoenix is in a perfect location, close to the bus stop, waterfront, shops, supermarket, restaurants, and my favorite community swimming pool. Iceland is awesome, as is Hotel Phoenix. Now it's time to learn the Icelandic language.

Small boutique hotel offering a friendly and personal service. Location is superb for access to the whole city on foot, quiet, yet also close to the bus terminus at Hlemmur. Rooms are not large, but very adequate. Comfortable and clean. Generous breakfast was included, as a cold platter rather than buffet style, and more than enough to make up and take out sandwiches for lunch. There is no dedicated hotel car park, but there is free street parking right outside, which is ideal if you have a hire car. We were very pleased with our choice, spent 4 nights there, and would definitely recommend.

Everything was perfect here. The room was beautiful and comfy. The owners were so helpful. I went the wrong way out of the hotel and they came after me to redirect me. They helped me figure out how to get a bus to my hotel near the airport.
The breakfast served each morning was fresh and plentiful.
I loved just chatting with the owners and they were always willing to help in any way they can!

Absolutely awesome boutique hotel. The 2 gentlemen that own/manage it are welcoming, gracious and helpful. They really make you feel like you are staying with friends. The hotel is spotless. The breakfast that they hand make is spectacular with only fresh, local foods. The hotel is tucked away in the middle of the block and can easily be missed. There are only a few rooms so don't expect any amenities like a pool, bar, restaurant. But if you want an incredibly comfortable stay in a convenient part of the city, then this is the only hotel you should consider.

We had a very nice 2-night stay at hotel Phoenix in Reykjavik
It is a small, intimate hotel (9 rooms), very cozy and with a charming decoration. Our room was spacious with lots of light and a little en-suite sitting area. Very clean and very well taken care off
It is a short walk to the port and the Harpa concert hall, and there are lots of restaurant options around
The hosts (owners) are very helpful and took very good care of us, thank you, and also thank you for the excellent breakfast. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Very attentive and welcoming owners/manages. Scrupulously clean hotel. Comfortable beds. Ample breakfast. Both managers were helpfully and informative. We loved the info on weather and places of interest on the breakfast table each morning. We were in late most nights and out very early to the airport but they were always quick to open the door and enquire about your day. We’ll located within walking distance to town and the boat trips. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed it - the hotel is probably more like a good Irish B&B where personal service is at its best. It is very handily located for access to everything. Advice on all local activities is readily available - breakfast was great and the short chats with the owners were always of interest. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay.

Great location for central Reykjavik. The gentlemen that manage the hotel are absolutely wonderful. They were welcoming and considerate hosts, offering a first class service in a beautiful boutique hotel. Everything was faultless and I would recommend everyone stays here at least once in their lifetime to experience just how good hospitality should be. Thank you Hotel Phoenix.

This is a small boutique hotel, run by 2 gentlemen. They have run the property for many years. Our room was large and very clean. Breakfast was great very filling. The owner’s gave us a ton of information and suggestions on what to see besides our tours. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
