Hotel Berg is a newly renovated four-star boutique hotel on two floors located above a small marina in Keflavík, where most travellers begin and end their journey in Iceland due to its short distance to the international airport. Hotel Berg is only a 5-minute drive to the airport, yet has quiet surroundings, as it is well away from the noises of the airport. All guests enjoy free access to a warm outdoor sitting pool on the rooftop. Ideal place to relax and enjoy the view, as well as to catch the northern lights or the midnight sun depending on the season. The hotel has 36 rooms. They all have free Wi-Fi, a fridge, a flat-screen TV, bathrobes and a desk. A private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer are also in every room. Property amenities besides our pool, include free coffee & tea, a spacious lounge area with a fireplace and a bar, free 24/7 shuttle to the airport for guests who are scheduled to take a flight, 24/7 front desk service and free Wi-Fi in all common areas.

I had read so many wonderful reviews, so when I was able to get a reservation coming off the cancellation list, I was thrilled. The staff is amazing, the restaurant for dinner —Fiskarinn— is really delicious; however, the rooms are small (fine), but the walls are paper thin, so we heard all our neighbors, above and beside. The rooftop pool is really a hot tub for 12, but it’s still really a nice amenity. The best thing is the free shuttle TO the airport—that is worth its weight in gold as taxis are so expensive. Breakfast starts at 7 am and they will make you a breakfast to go bag if you have an early flight, but it’s the same price as the regular breakfast, so skip that unless you want to pay a lot for pastries in a bag. There is no lunch served on site, but there is a restaurant really close to the Hotel Berg, which offers great food for lunch (and maybe for dinner, but we ate at the hotel). PROS: roof top pool; free shuttle TO hte airport; great restaurant for dinner CONS: loud rooms, can be hot, even though the windows open, away from the center or Keflavik.

We stayed here on our last night in Iceland before continuing our trip to London and Venice, We were most impressed by the staff's willingness to pack and ship our warm clothing and hiking boots back to San Francisco . The rooms and food were most adequate for an airport hotel. All inall a good experience,

Spent a day/night at Hotel Berg during an Iceland stopover on way to Europe. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and jet-lagged, but our room was ready. After taking a short nap and then heading off for an afternoon at sky lagoon, came back to our very comfortable, clean and quiet room. Hotel is small, well-maintained, right next to small harbor. Convenient to Keflavik airport, with free shuttle hotel service available.

Nice modern hotel . Quite expensive . Good location near the airport with a free transfer. Nice hot tub on the roof. Breakfast also expensive. Ended badly as our son lost his phone between the hotel and the airport. Not lots of room in a family room for 3 people

Lovely place. Kinda Scandinavian design. Still could be more comfy. Too much of minimalism. Second floor is ok with nice bed. First floor does not have enough pf furniture to put bag, sit and relax. Bathroom is very small. Still, with enough imagination and effort, it could have been a better place. Breakfast is very basic. Breakfast room is spartanian.

The good - It looks like a very nice, clean hotel. The lobby is very inviting. The bad - I do not recommend staying here if you’re planning on waking up early for a flight. We stayed in a loft suite and the walls are paper thin. We had a screaming child and parents next to us all night. Our room shook every-time someone walked up / down the loft stairs. We could not sleep and had to catch an early morning flight. Our room was stuffy and hot, when we turned the heat down it didn’t do anything. The windows would not open. The ok - The hot tub on the roof is not as enticing as shown on the website. It’s actually falling apart and not the cleanest.

The food in the restaurant was amazing. We didn’t expect such good quality food with great presentation from the restaurant of a small hotel. Rooms are clean and staff are very friendly. It’s very close to the airport which it makes it a perfect choice for last Keith stay in Iceland.

This was the hotel that I booked at the end of a 10-day tour. It was attractive with great views, a comfortable room, a roof-top hot tub (that I didn't use but my friends said was great), and reasonable dinner and breakfast options. I really liked the sitting room near the wood-burning fire place. Though they were short-staffed, my needs were met. The shuttle van only accommodates six people at a time and runs every 20 minutes, so you have to plan ahead for your shuttle ride to the airport. It still ran smoothly. Additionally, you can schedule a late check-out up to three hours late for an additional fee per hour. I plan to stay here again when I come back.

We stayed here on our last night in Iceland. It was wonderful. The room was great. The staff were super friendly. And the restaurant was delicious. A great place to stay if you want to be close to the airport. Or just as a base to travel nearby locations.

A beautiful hotel in Keflavik. We only stayed one night, but would happily stay more. Close to the airport, some good food in town, the Blue Lagoon. Why stay at at chain hotel when you can stay here!! Breakfast was great, room and entire hotel decor was contemporary and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
