Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Hotel Jazz for the night prior to a morning departure from Keflavik (Reykjavik) International Airport, and it turned out to be a superb decision. Check-in was simple and pre-arranged at the front desk, and with just 17 rooms on two floors (this is an elevator), all rooms are a short walk from the front door. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The included continental breakfast was extensive and situated in a very appealing room just off of the lobby. The front desk staff arranged for a taxi to pick us up at o'dark:30 the next morning, and we were at the terminal in no more than five minutes. We got to Hotel Jazz in time to have dinner in the town of Keflavik, and found numerous restaurants within easy walking distance. Italian, Mediterranean, an Icelandic diner, Syrian and Indian restaurants were all close by, and the ocean view from our room was actually unexpected and nice. Should we return to Iceland, and we are already planning it as the destination is incredible, Hotel Jazz will be our go-to airport hotel for the night prior to flying home, again. Rates are affordable and the small staff very accommodating and efficient.

We arrived late evening so I wanted a hotel near the airport. There were no staff around at this time, but we had been given a code to gain entry to the hotel and our room details were on the reception desk.
The room was just about big enough, especially as all we wanted was to get to sleep.
Breakfast was also self service, with most items kept in the two large fridges. There was a reasonable choice, and the room was fairly empty. Most people had probably already checked out for early morning flights, although the sound-proofing must be good, because we didn't hear anybody.
Two members of staff arrived whilst we were finishing breakfast. They cleared up, and replenished some of the food items. They were very friendly and helpful.

We spent a month in Iceland and decided to spend two days in Keflavik before returning to Canada. We went for a rapid covid test prior to the flight and learned from the technician that Canada required a PCR test to board our plane and enter Canada.
From the internet we determined that PCR testing was only available in Reykjavik which would have required $320 in travel costs, not to mention the time and inconvenience. The hotel staff investigated our issue and determined a way to register the test in Reykjavik but have the actual testing done in Keflavik.
Great staff - thank you so much. Hotel is central with lots of restaurants within walking distance.

What a strange experience, as we didn’t see a single other person in the hotel, including at reception! Our key was left on the desk, we found our room ourselves. It was a good size, with a large bathroom, and very clean. Only annoying thing was that the wifi didn’t quite reach the room. Luckily we were only there for a few hours. Breakfast is DIY and a bit sparse, but then you get what you pay for, and at least you can get breakfast at 5am if you need it. Under 10 minutes by taxi to the airport. Easy walking distance of several restaurants (if the weather allows you to walk)

You're almost certainly staying in Keflavik the night before your morning flight back home. This hotel provides what you need for that. The room is fine although difficult to cool with one window that opens slightly. Breakfast buffet is helpfully available starting at 4am (coffee machine available anytime) and it's a notch above continental. On a side street just off the main street of Keflavik; easy walk to several restaurants. Plenty of parking. Most (all?) rooms ground floor. The one issue was that, even with the window open, we could not get the room cool enough -- it was too hot.

we recently spent a night at the Jazz, prior to an early morning flight. We had a family room (with a camping bed for our son). It cost 202 Eur - in our view excessive for a simple 3 star place without a reception (you get in with an access code). Wifi also did not work (the network was on and off visible, but we were unable to connect).
Worst part, however, is that on the booking portal description (e.g. hotels.com, where we booked) it listed "Airport shuttle, Airport drop-off service" under main amenities. To me this means that they provide a shuttle, as many airport hotels do. At the Jazz they leave you a phone number to call a taxi, which costs 22 Euro extra - utterly annoying at that price level.
The room was overall ok and clean, though the old wooden window frames were drafty, and signs of wear and tear are frequent.
Overall a place to avoid.

+1
Super sweet and comfortable place to stay! Easy self check in, honor system and no fuss! We had room 208 with a lovely view of the water…it’s just a very sweet place, not a large hotel so super quiet too. Breakfast was self serve and delicious too with a hugs assortment of cheeses, meats, hard boiled eggs and even herring! Plus cereals, breads, juices and coffee…walked all over the adorable town and it was just the perfect place on our way to the airport. One important note, the “hotel transfer” is not included. I thought it was because that is how it sounds in the booking description…it was 2900 kroner so still now awful but was surprised. We would for sure stay here again!

Hotel Jazz is all about self-service. Check-in can be made at any time without the need of a receptionist, it is therefore convenient for flights arriving late at night as it's location is close to the airport, just a few minutes by taxi. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety and good bread. Very friendly and helpful staff helping to organize a taxi

Arrived at 2am but no problem parking.
Good price relative to most Icelandic hotels.
Easy to locate.
Main door Entry key posted by email, however door was not locked when we arrived.
Room key was left on reception desk.
Room size and layout adequate for 1 night stay.
Glass bathroom door leading to bedroom provided little sound cushion.
No usb outlets and just a few plug connections
Bathroom no ventilation or bidet but good quality shower.
Icelandic fad for two separate duvets on a double bed.
TV not utilized.
More than adequate generally healthy breakfast. However, Cappuccino required an extra double espresso to feel real.

All rooms have private bathrooms.
Yes, we did stay for three days/two nights. The Hotel Manager set up a rental car for us for one day and it was an easy drive around the area.
Thier is a path you can walk around the water at with benches to enjoy the view. It is a crisp cold but the walk keeps you warm.
A 10/11 grocery market it just north of the of the hotel were you can buy food if you want to save on the eating out cost. A small fridge is in the room...
