This little hotel is perfectly located next to Central Station, where you can get the 5c bus at the airport, which takes you to central station, from there the hotel is a few minutes walk and the bus costs about £4. The hotel is very quiet and has a great cosy and homely atmosphere. Rooms are small, but do have the basics you need. Breakfast is very enjoyable, and there is plenty of selection (no hot food choices) In a great location, busy area with lots of cafes and bars close by. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel when stating in Copenhagen.
Nice, clean and very central hotel in Copenhagen. Stayed one night in a family room. Spacious clean room and nice staff. They also rent out bikes at the hotel. The hotel is very central and close to the central station. Perfect hotel if you want to stay close to everything.
For a budget hotel, I can't really fault Go Saga. We stayed in a standard double room with private bathroom - it was a decent size, modern, very clean and had everything we needed for a 2-night city break stay. I didn't see the shared bathrooms but used the toilet in the lobby and that seemed very clean. The location is brilliant - about 5 mins from the central train station so you can get around really easily. Staff were all really friendly and helpful too. Only thing I'd find a slight fault with is the bedding - we had two single duvets and they were a bit small. But a very minor issue!
Simple but affordable hotel in a good location, just next to main railway station. Room is small but ok, bed is just next to door and by the wall. Little bit chilly and floor was so cold. Personnel was friendly and breakfast basic but enough. Someone was smoking near our room, so the smell was also in our room. And when people was walking around its so noisy because of the wooden floors and old stairs.
From Copenhagen airport you can get the 5C bus straight into central station (36Krone = €4.70 per person) and this hotel is literally 5 minutes away. Very central, we got placed on the first floor and outside was the Main Street. There was no bathroom in our room which we opt for, for a cheaper alternative. There is no lifts, just stairs. Again on the first floor extremely handy (first floor is also breakfast dining area). The hotel I found absolutely spotless and clean. I was a little hesitant on going the toilet the first night but I didn’t come across anyone at all in the 5 nights I stayed. The bathroom and shower is separate and there is also another toilet on the next hall beside the other two. So plenty to choose from, all bathrooms were stocked up well, spotless and so clean. The beds, duvets and pillows were comfortable, I did find the pillows a little high but after talking to a cleaner she let me choose a pillow that was a little flatter. I did find the first night extremely noisy (as humans we are adjusting to new surroundings) however, the room got a little hot, so we opened the window but the noise of the bin trucks at all hours (3/4am) is just ridiculous. And getting a food delivery in at 5am is uncalled for 🤦♀️ I also could hear everyone who was using the stairs going up and down. Overall I did find after the first night I adjusted and these noises drowned out. And everyone on the floor was respectful. After 9pm it was so quiet. There is no Netflix or smart TVs but I had a laptop so I could watch English movies. The breakfast was great 👍 (99Krone = €13/14 per person) some may think this is expensive but some places around coffee alone is €4/5 per person. There was a good variety. Soft / hard boiled eggs, breads, cheese, Brie cheese, fruit, cereal, all kinds of milk, cold meats like thin slices of ham, chicken, salami etc - orange juice, apple juice, water, variety of teas, lots of pastries 🤤 and coffee. I thought the machine coffee was sooo good and the breakfast staff was friendly, welcoming, fast and efficient 🙌🏼 The room locked perfectly and we felt safe. Reception staff, to cleaners to breakfast staff were all very accommodating. Overall, it was a good stay and if you are a light sleeper like me, just be aware that there will be loud noises outside. If things could be implemented or improved in the hotel to make it more modern - I would suggest visible signs on the bathroom when in use, implement Netflix / English movie channels, and for example when previous visitors leave their items behind like shampoo and conditioner, toiletries it would be good to set up a small goodwill basket In the hallway or bathrooms for other guests to use. After been told by a receptionist staff member their was no shampoo available I bought a large bottle of head and shoulders and left it behind in hopes someone might get use of it. ✨ but 🤷♀️ Overall I enjoyed my stay and was much better than I anticipated. I hope this information helps as much travels as possible ℹ️ From Ireland 🇮🇪…
Our stay was nice apart from the cold and humid room we got. If it wasn’t for this we would book this hotel again for our next stay. We put small bags etc by the window by the bed and in the morning they were all soaked. If we would have put a phone there it would have been damaged for sure. There was no heat in the room except for the bathroom floor and the humidity made the room feel colder than it was. This room will get really moldy if they keep it like this. We spoke to the staff in the reception and all they said was “ok thanks for letting us know, I will speak to the housekeeping” and ”where I live they haven’t turned on the heat on the elevators yet”. The housekeeping can probably not do anything about this (?)
Great value hotel - our room with private bathroom was compact, but had everything we needed and was spotless and comfortable, The location is ideal, very close to central station, even closer to the metro, and a very short walk to the meat-packing district with lots of restaurants and bars. Every single staff member was polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast cost 99DKR for fresh bread, cheese, meats, muesli and yoghurt, eggs, fruit and pastries, with good coffee and juices. The front of the building can be noisy, but we slept with the window open with no problem. Pack light as there is no lift, but the hotel is very clear about this. Would stay again very happily.
Worst nights sleep ever. Woken up at 4.50am with very load trucks outside and the same every 30mins. Building work outside and no water from 12-3 which we were not pre-warned about before arriving. Here another night and considering booking elsewhere. This on top of no flexibility when my parents had to cancel due to ill health and our trip being delayed after covid. Very bad service and no sleep.
Rooms and bathrooms were okay. Reception staff were very polite and helpful. Location was great, close to the trainstation and easy to walk through town and find restaurants, Tivoli and shops. Easy to check-out. Wish we had air-conditioning as the rooms were quite warm.
Very good hotel in the center of Copenhagen, 1 minute of walking distance from the Central rail station and 3 minutes from Tivoli. The room we had, as well as the toilet, was quite small but clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast with a lot of choice, and also long time of serving (06:30 - 10:30) which suits everyone's preferences. The staff was helpful and very kind, always available for any request. Special mention for the man working the evening shift at the reception: super kind and helpful, thank you! The price for our stay was also more than ok considering Copenhagen's standard and the position of the hotel. That would normally be a 5-star review, but the only negative thing was that at late evening/night a lot of noise from drunk or partying people was from the street our room was facing. Of course it's not the hotel's fault but this made it difficult to rest at night: perhaps a room facing the other way (the courtyard) wouldn't have had the same problem. Anyway, I would totally recommend Go Hotel Saga and I would come back to it if visiting Copenhagen again.…
