We stayed at the Scandic Palace prior to departing Copenhagen on a cruise. The hotel is conveniently located less than a block from a Metro station in the heart of the city. It's minutes away from Tivoli and many city attractions. The breakfast which was included with our stay was fantastic featuring organic and free-range items. Our room was huge (2 walk-in closets!) and had a small balcony overlooking the square. We'd read previous remarks about the noise, but we did not have any problems and slept soundly every night. The Saturday night fireworks at Tivoli were an added surprise!
location, room opted was par excellent. friendly staff. great breakfast. dinner option for vegetarian is NIL and that is negative. Hoevenr being centrally located, dinner and lunch many choice. recommended
The Scandic Palace hotel is a must. The location is wonderful - close to everything. The hotel team was friendly and gracious to accomodate. The breakfast was exceptional. We were very happy to have stayed there and will again!
The PROS: 1. Nothing beats the location of this hotel. It is facing the City Hall Square and Radhuspladsen metro stop, and the entrance to Tivoli Gardens is across the street. The main shopping street (Stroget) is just around the corner. There are lots of souvenir shops and places around. The Hop-On Hop-Off bus tours stops in front of the hotel. 2. The room is clean, looks new, and the bathroom is spacious. 3. Breakfast is good, but can get a little repetitive. THE CONS: 1. Service could be improved. I had to have my room key exchanged four times during my four night stay because I couldn't access my room using it. I asked for help with luggage during checkout, but the guy at reception said he was the only one around and couldn't help me. 2. No bottled water in the room, you have to pay for them. 3. Bathroom toilet broke down twice during my stay there. While the repair was quick both times, it was such a hassle.…
Great location and very nice breakfast. Clean rooms and super service. Minus for the broken bathroom door. It was not possible to close it. Minus for the church clock outside the room. Wake us up every hour and half hour.
Located in historic Copenhagen, this hotel is a rare treat. Mixing the old with the new. Our room overlooked the courtyard so not sure if it was located near the rear or the front. The noise of the bell tower and fireworks didn’t bother me but I’m a deep sleeper. The room was spacious, the bathroom was huge. One item for thought is the microscopic closet. Our stay was short (2 nights) so it wasn’t an issue for us. The complimentary breakfast is amazing. A vast assortment of hot and cold foods with a couple local favorites included. We throughly enjoyed our stay.
Very good hotel, perfect location, nice, clean rooms. The buffet breakfast is really good with great variety. The staff are really helpful and nice. City hall is just across the street, plenty of shops and restaurants around, including a 7/11 if you have the munchies at night. There is good Scottish pub across the square from the hotel. In short you can’t go wrong choosing to stay at this hotel
Stayed 17th to 18th August. Superior room 4th floor had commanding view of the city, walk in shower and spacious room. Very comfortable bed. Weak wi fi signal cutting out, no english, american tv channels for news. Excellent buffet breakfast fully organic products. Unfortunately our trip coincided with the Pride festival and the very loud music (not our favourite variety) from the square below afternoon and at night was a vexation to the peace, calm of the hotel room and prevented an early night.
In the hart of Copenhagen and direct by the Metro. Good standard and service. I will most likely select this hotel again on my next stop. The CAPA restaurant in the hotel is a must visit. High quality meat and service!
Very good location. Jusr a min' walk from the Metro & Netto is just around the corner. Easy access to Hard Rock cafe, Stroget shopping street & Tivoli Garden. Staff are pleasant & helpful. Will definitely book this place if I return to Copenhagen again!
