The hotel is nice. Staff pleasant. Rooms reasonable size and clean. Biggest issue was food. Breakfast fine, plenty of space, good food. Tried to get dinner but their tiny restaurant was fully booked and there is no room service. You can get food from the bar also very small if you don’t mind waiting. The food is good. Very limited for vegetarians (soup or salad, both very tasty) Biggest issue was the wait time. One lunch time I waited 50 minutes to even order a drink. I was told they had run out of the orange juice I wanted but I was offered a drink on the house and once the waiter realised I had been missed out he was very attentive.

Hotel's Favourite
You'll think you're staying in a set from a Star Wars movie! The hotel is quite nice, very well-run with excellent staff. The rooms are reasonable-size (probably small by North American standards, but they are fine), and ours was very clean and well-equipped. The in-room amenities are reasonably good. Breakfast is very good. There's excellent coffee, very good food, and a nice mix of food including some Danish food as well as more American-style breakfast food. The room is huge and quite bright, it's a very pleasant spot to have a leisurely breakfast. Both bars (main floor and top floor) are quite nice. It's worth the time to go to the 23rd-floor bar for the view, and they make some creative cocktails. I didn't try the restaurant (Basalt) but it look lovely. I didn't try the gym, but it look well-equipped. The spa was closed when I was there. The hotel is ~20 mins by subway from downtown Copenhagen, but the trip is VERY easy and seemed quite safe at all hours of the day. It's very well-located for the conference center.

My husband and I stayed here in early June for a conference. It’s a pretty typical hotel for conferences and has adequate rooms. I’m sure the larger ones are even better. Our first room didn’t have working AC, so we were lucky that we had arrived early before the hotel was full so we could get a different one. We were also lucky that our second room view was beautiful over a large forest with cattle and horses grazing and the city of Copenhagen in the distance. The hotel is within a block of the metro and a few blocks of a shopping mall, food stores, and restaurants. There is also a restaurant and rooftop bar in the hotel. It’s very easy to get to downtown Copenhagen on the metro or by cab. The room also has automatic blinds, one for privacy and one for light blocking. I suggest keeping the light blocking one down if you want to keep your room cooler during the day in the summer. Beds were comfortable and could be pushed together or pulled apart. The people working at the desk were kind and helped us with every need. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice, large and comfortable room on the 15th floor - nice views of the nearby residential area and park. Fantastic buffet breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is part of the Bella convention centre, so if you’re here for a conference, it is super practical. The city is a smooth 15-20 min metro ride away, with metro coming by every 5 min. Highly recommended.

The hotel has a beautiful artistic design both outside and inside with the tasteful and airy lobby and restaurants. The common areas were very nice, and the restaurant provided excellent local cuisine and lovely setting. The room was quiet, and the bed comfortable. I wish the shower door covered more of the bathroom floor to avoid getting it wet, and I wish the water pressure were better, but otherwise the room was satisfying and the service was good. Decent gym with good windows, lighting and enough variety for equipment.

This hotel is gorgeous on the outside and the restaurant on the first floor was great. That is where the positives about this hotel end. The bathroom set up with the glass walls was not very family friendly. The a/c was non-existent in the rooms. We called to ask about the a/c and the solution was to bring us a fan. The worker that brought the fan told us that only Americans complain about the air. The room was so incredibly hot and stuffy all night that even with the fan it was hard to sleep. The cruise line crew that was staying at the hotel as well in several rooms all complained about the lack of a/c and the lack of privacy in the bathrooms. For a Marriott property, I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service and the dismissal that Americans are high maintenance for expecting air conditioning on a hot day. If I wanted no a/c, I would have chosen an older hotel near the city center not a brand new modern hotel near the airport.

Dear KLord47, Thank you for staying with us at AC Bella Sky and for your review. I apologize that your stay has not turned out as expected. I am happy you like our design in the building and happy about the restaurant though. Our cooling system is designed to make it possible to adjust the temperature about 3-5 degrees lower that the outside temperature. Meaning that in some few occasions during nordic summers we will be challenged if the temperature reaches above 25 degrees outside. This is luckily not to often but at some days during the last summer we have experiences temperatures we are not so used to. Still I do hope to see you with us also in the future and next time it might be in another season. Sincerely Martin Åkesson

We stayed here a few years ago, and decided to make it our last stop before heading home. I was so looking forward to the bar on 23rd floor, however, it is closed on Sun, Mon and Tuesdays. Since we were only there Sun & Mon nights we were unable to enjoy again. The rooms are clean, though small, the staff is fantastic. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. Including the bar tender, who the first night did not impress me, because he was unable to make a very basic cocktail; however, second night, knowing that we really wanted Crown Royal, he went to the basement and dug out one of two bottles that they had stored away. Way above and beyond the call of duty, and much appreciated. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, and the mini muffins are excellent. If we are ever in Copenhagen again, we'll be back.

This is a large Marriott hotel attached to the Bella Convention Center. The location, depending on how you view it is either perfect (right by the Center) or poor (not walkable to either the City Center or many restaurants/things to do). On the plus side, the hotel is very close to the airport. The hotel design is very sleek, with two towers, connected at the first floor and then at the roof top level. Rooms are on the smaller side (not tiny, but a bit of a squeeze if it's more than one person) but there is not not a lot of space to store stuff, hang clothes etc. There's a safe and a fridge in the room. While the staff were largely very friendly and helpful, where the hotel fell short, unfortunately, was in the haphazardness of the housekeeping. Toiletries were not replenished, there were stains on the pillows and sheets that were neither cleaned, nor changed; housekeeping showed up at inconvenient times and scoffed if you wanted them to wait a few minutes. Again, not deal breakers, and this could be a one-off experience. Finally we ate at the restaurant at the hotel (Basalt) twice. A tad over priced, but food was excellent. The breakfast was also scrumptious. The raison d'etre to stay at this hotel is its proximity to the Bella Convention Center (assuming you need to be there), and the modern, sleek design. Otherwise, as a tourist, more conveniently located hotels would be preferable.

I stayed at the Bella Sky as a conference participant. The room I had was spotlessly clean. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and friendly from the reception to the housekeeping. The breakfast was great and had options for everyone. The Basalt restaurant does excellent food. And it’s only 10 mins to central Copenhagen (Kongens Nytorv) on the M1 metro line. Next time I come to Copenhagen I’ll be looking to stay here.

It is not a recommended hotel for independent tourists: it is in fact a hotel - connected to a large convention center - far from the center and located in an area where there is absolutely nothing (no restaurants, shops, supermarkets ...). The station of the M1 subway line is more than half a kilometer away (inconvenient with luggage or in case of rain). The hotel restaurants are excessively expensive and the "shop and go" sells only a few things at exorbitant prices. At first glance, given the original architectural structure, it might look like a modern and elegant hotel but after exiting the elevator into a narrow corridor with poor and worn carpet, you change your mind: it's just a budget hotel for attendees of the congresses (and for tourist groups during the summer). Small rooms, small toilets, curtains that do not allow darkening (also due to the inclined pillars) and consequently guarantee an awakening at 5 in the morning .... Room cleaning is approximate, toilet amenities are reduced (compared to the standard set of European AC hotels) and every day you are forced to ask the reception what is missing (shampoo today, toilet paper tomorrow ... and so on) . The presence of an unused bottle of sanitizer on the table (at the time of the Covid pandemic) seems sufficient to exempt the waiters from cleaning the tables and placemats between one diner and another. In conclusion: only masochists could decide to go back.

Dear Magic_Trips_2013, Thank you for staying with us at AC Bella Sky Hotel and I do apologize our hotels are not to your liking. We are a big hotel close to the congress center and this is seen in different areas of the hotel, I do agree. Maybe for your next stay in Copenhagen our full service property, Marriott Copenhagen could be more to your liking. Feel free to reach out if we can assist you here for a future stay.
