Good vibes in lobby, super helpful staff at the bar/lounge! I guess the boss treat the staff well so they work happily. No tea/coffee amenities in room but one can always get hot water at the bar/lounge, that is a plus for me as the water is hotter. Convenient location near public transit and the area is good compared to downtown Toronto. Had been waiting for Marriott survey and did not receive, hence the delay in writing this review.
We had an excellent time staying at the Moxy Copenhagen. John, the manager, Jen, Sahara, and the rest of the staff provided an experience that we’ve never experienced before. It get like we were staying at their house and we were their welcomed guests. The staff at the hotel made the experience the unforgettable experience that it was. #Marriott, please pay these people more!!
The hotel itself is a nice hotel with good rooms and a good breakfast. But its not in the best location as the area is a bit run down and a serious lack of places to eat at night. The parking for me was the big issue as it is run by a private contractor. We had 2 motorcycles which anywhere else in the world would let you share 1 space as it frees up other spaces for other guests, but here you couldn't, so it cost us £40 a night for parking. And bewere they are soon on you if you park in the wrong. They are very quick to issue fines at £110.00. The train station is only 5 minutes walk but you have to go into the city if you want anything at all.
That was our first visit to a Moxy hotel and it was wonderful! We didn't feel that we were quite trendy enough to there to start with but the staff are all warm, friendly, knowledgeable and lovely and made us feel so welcome. Unfortunately, we didn't get any names but there was a girl with long red hair who told us how to get the train and metro and at first it was a little daunting but by the time we left to go the airport we felt almost like locals! (Especially after going for a run down at the university and canals that are close to the hotel). The rooms were perfectly adequate for us and our toddler as we were out each day and pink hand soap was a hit with her! The coffee machine in the bar area was fab to get a quick coffee from in the morning and the welcome drink was a nice touch too. I've asked for a copy of my bill but still not received it - that's only negative part of our stay - everything else was great!…
I stayed for 3 nights at Moxy Copenhagen in November 2021. This was my first ever stay at a Moxy. I was surprised there was no tea/coffee facilities, no mini fridge, no phones in the room. The room itself was very clean. The bathroom had a very nice showergel/shampoo and body lotion . The TV was big and modern. Check in and check out was quick.
Moxy is my preferred hotel in Copenhagen. Really nice clean and modern rooms, though the bathroom is a bit small. Best staff ever (John), he is so nice and enthusiastic and paying full attention even though he is besy at times. I have only had full pleasure when staying at Moxy. Good breakfast, really nothing to complain about, other than parking is not included.
The hotel is situated one bus stop away from the main city. The breakfast buffet was wholesome with good coffee. There was a welcome drink as well. The staff was courteous. The room did not have a minibar and the electric kettle.
The hotel should not get Mariott label.. Thst was misleading. We arrived here and found it to be like a dormitory or hostel! The room was like a matchbox. No furniture. Seriously! Not even a chair. No place to put your clothes. Two hangers were given with a couple of hooks to hang your coat may be! The bathroom shower stall was very small for any adult. The water kept accumulating in it while taking a shower unless I kept the shower at the slowest pace. No coffee maker, The room was modern and clean with USB plugs and SLOW internet service. I was told there are no upgrades to the room at the hotel, as all the rooms are the same. So while I had five days reservation, we checked out in a day since we had arrived very tired and had to find alternative lodging. We didn’t stay for breakfast so can’t comment on that. There were no good eateries around. I felt like we were in a hippy joint rather than a hotel. The location is far from all attractions but next to a metro station and the hotel is one of the most economical..however don’t let that fool you!…
I live locally and there was a local festival with music around our area of town, and moxy had a gig I wanted to see. I had my dog with me as I checked that mozy was pet friendly beforehand online… but no.. in the bar area where the concert was, you cant bring your dog.. Im sorry, but either you accept people with pets or you dont - not this halfa** attitude. Some of us have pets because we cant have kids.. so great that we are only somewhat welcome. Im very disapointed and sad about this.
Pet friendly? Not so much!!! We came here in order to enjoy the amenities of the hotel with our little French bulldog. We were only allowed just inside the door. Our dog wasn’t allowed anywhere else… When a hotel says they are pet friendly, they really should be…
