Don't usually post reviews but I must say the server at the breakfast restaurant in the hotel (Alan was his name I think) was so hospitable and accommodating on the few days that we were there. What an asset to the hotel. Great service nowadays is hard to come by, and it seems this hotel got lucky with this gentleman. Makes up for all the other things that the hotel lacks.
Obliged to make last minute booking with no knowledge of this hotel or location. 20 minute taxi ride from central station so inconveniently far away from the centre. There is nothing around this hotel other than the shopping mall. The hotel restaurant was overwhelmed with concert goers, and we were unable to make a reservation, after a long day of tevel not having to wait undil 7.45pm would have been good! There were no other local restaurants. Room was average, ditto bathroom, liquid soap bottle hard to use and even after request to reception no laternative was offered. Sleeping was difficult the room was hot and the A.C. could not be adjusted. Reception boasted its a green hotel and they were more interested in restricting the A.C. than a guest having a good nights sleep. Even though Copenhagen is notoriously expensive and despite being IHG members our bill was $522 we have stayed in far better hotels for a lot less. Best suited for Conferences, the reception area was set up for one.…
We were ending a cruise in Copenhagen and wanted to spend several days in the city. Being an IHG rewards member the Towers were our option! It is good to see great reviews for a hotel when making a booking and I have to add to the positive reviews! We had booked our room so we could get in the morning our cruise arrived. We had just walked in when alarms went off, say there was an emergency and to exit the building! What a welcome. It was over quickly (we were told it was some baking product burned in the kit). They sent us to enjoy the breakfast buffet while waiting for things to settle down! That was our first of four great breakfasts! The breakfast buffet was a great mix - we loved the pancakes, eggs, and bacon. They beat the same items on the cruise! We liked the safety feature that you had to have a key to go up on the elevator. The room was large and well equipped. Great bathroom. Nice that you can quickly walk to the metro or train station. Since it is a fairly isolated location it was nice to have The Bark.…
We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Crowne Plaza in Copenhagen. The room as absolutely lovely - modern, spacious, nice view and the bathroom had all the amenities you'd expect in a Crown Plaza. The air con was a bit complicated to use but with assistance, it worked fine. The buffet breakfast was simple but adequate. Overall, it was lovely to stay at a hotel like a Crowne Plaza at the end of a long trip.
Visited this hotel frequently a few years back both for business and with my family, and I was surprised to be greeted by the always happy and welcoming Alan in the breakfast restaurant with a "great to see you again" and "did you bring your family this time?". What an amazing memory and attitude. :-) The hotel generally delivers a flawless experience, but Alan is one of a kind.
During my stay I found one of, if not, the best hotel burger restaurants I've been to. I fully recommend that if you visit Copenhagen, stay there and try the burgers. The hotel was clean, hotel staff extremely nice and helpful.
Booked the Crown Plaza Copenhagen Towers through my IHG membership. Great hotel and staff very helpful and professional. The hotel was very clean and the rooms well looked after. We were on the 19th floor so the views were great. The hotel is well situated for the airport only two stops on the train from the station opposite. This station also has the metro train which services the city of Copenhagen. Everything is so easy to use from buying your ticket to the journeys. You can also catch the train from the same station to go to Malmo in Sweden for the day which we did. The Fields shopping centre is also close to the hotel. We fully recommend this hotel to anyone.
My friend and I stayed here on our first night to Copenhagen. The staff at the front desk were friendly, professional and helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable. It was perfect for resting and sleeping. The only thing keeping me from rating this hotel five stars is the room could have been cleaner. Also it is a bit distant from the center of Copenhagen where everything is located.
