My family stayed here around the holidays and it was a wonderful experience. Breakfast smells were almost as good as how tasty everything was, even the teenagers loved the good and excellent coffee. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Very close to the metro station which made getting around the city quick easy, even when raining. For us the rooms were quite warm but well worth the price we paid.
Rye115 does not pretend to be a conventional hotel and as long as you do not arrive expecting it to be, you will get on just fine. I have to confess that the first impressions from the entryphone at the door, the rather battered paintwork in the hallway and shabby doormat did make me initially question if I had made the right choice booking to stay here. As soon as we entered the main living and dining area and were greeted by the lovely young lady on duty, those doubts evaporaed. The cups of coffee and a freshly baked crossants offered us were very welcome after our long journey here. The lounge and dining room are charmingly decorated and the ambiance is added to by the gentle music from the Sonos. We were delighted with our spacious three person room and loved our robes and sandal slippers! The beds were very comfortable and good nights sleep were had by us all.For me, the fact that there were shared bathrooms for all the guests was a throwback to times when this was the norm - to my daughters though - it was a novelty!! In an ideal world then yes - of course you would choose to have private facitilites but being made to think of other people and the environment is no bad thing. The Christmas tree in the lounge decorated with Rye115 Angels and white lights was charming. Within the lounge also is a fridge with some drinks and select bottles of wine and fizz sit atop a glass filled cabinet. These can be paid for later and partaken in this very cozy area - a real treat at the end of a day exploring this wonderful city. MIght have been good if you could get a hot drink too in the evening but we managed! We really enjoyed our stay here and appreciated the different expeirience this hotel offers - which also means that it is very good value for money for a hotel in this location. Really hope to return and wish the owners every success for daring to be different and challenge 21st century hotel conventions.…
This was my second stay at Rye115 in the span of two months and both times the room, amenities, and service has been impeccable. The team is welcoming, personal and helpful, and despite the shared bathrooms both stays have felt very private. Breakfast is quintessentially Danish - tasty buns and yellow cheese, yoghurt with (seemingly homemade) granola, juice and coffee. If you are accustomed to large continental breakfast buffets, just be prepared for something different, but in my opinion just as good! Location-wise it's near one of the well-known Copenhagen "lakes" ("søerne") and plenty of great food and drink options nearby. And a very short walk to the metro station Triangelen which gets you to the Copenhagen city centre in less than 15 minutes! Rye115 its exactly what you want from a home away from home! Couldn't recommend it more warmly! …
I stayed for a few nights in October. The area is nice and quiet and near the metro. The staff are friendly and the rooms and beds are good. If you don't mind not have ensuite then it is an easy recommendations for Copenhagen.
Really disappointed in this place. It’s not a hotel, it’s a hostel. Shared toilet/shower room and a lack of care on basics like squeaky doors. Like a building site out the front. Good luck parking. If you can it’s a way off and expensive. Three different physical keys to learn just to get into the place in the evening. Power sockets that are wobbly and ultimately didn’t charge our devices. We slept so poorly we decided just to leave and not bother with any more weirdness at breakfast. Of course there are no refunds if you order the breakfast and don’t eat it, no matter the reasons. Spend more and go elsewhere. It’s worth avoiding this place.
Breakfast excellent, all organic and home made, location perfect with short metro or bus trip to the center, staff very friendly. Bathrooms in the hallway but easily accessible and very clean. Beroom large and a comfortable large bed.Hood value.
Very clean and comfortable. Special atmosphere. Minimalistic but very warm. When booking I was not so sure about shared bathroom, but I did not mind at all, it felt like being a guest in a friends home. We had a meeting with a small group of colleagues and it was perfect. Staff was very kind and ready to help.
This is a great little hotel and would be coming back if I return to Copenhagen! The best way to describe this is homely - the building and rooms have character and it doesn't feel like a bland service like some other hotels. The staff feel like one big family, always smiling and go above and beyond to ensure guests have a great time. Special shout out to super -host Lovisa who even gave me an amazing guided tour of the city! The hotel is not quite in the city centre, but right next to a metro stop and also the walk into the centre is past some lovely lakes full of swans, herons and cormorants. Also they rent out bikes at a very reasonable price which I definitely recommend to explore the city. The breakfast is freshly baked in the morning which creates a brilliant smell through the whole hotel when you wake up, and is very good! The only negative is the lack of en-suite bathrooms, but I did not have any issue having to wait in line to use them and they are always clean. Wholeheartedly recommended.…
This was such a wonderful little hotel. We were there for a week and have nothing but positive things to say. If you're looking for an intimate hotel with bountiful personality, look no further. Can't wait to return.
We stayed at the guest house for a week and absolutely loved it. Everything was so well thought through, from the interior design of the hotel to the ecological breakfast. The staff was very friendly and everything just felt incredibly personal. We would definitely stay here again!
