Our five-star hotel can be found on the western point of the city of Kavala. With its imposing architecture and unique location Lucy Hotel is considered a landmark for Kavala and a vantage point for the surrounding landscape. Perched at the very edge of a small peninsula Lucy resembles an observatory where one can gaze onto the glistening city of Kavala that is laid out amphitheatrically in front of the Aegean Sea.

Nice hotel, clean, excellent service, good quality breakfast with big variety, spacious rooms, only the shower us a bit small. Rooms are with big balconies with sea view, sunrise is unique, great peaceful location, yet not far from the city centre and the port, old city...!!

We booked a room from the tour company, the pictures of the rooms were beautiful, bright, balcony view, everything looked attractive and beautiful, we saw that there was no sea view, there was a room with a city view, we decided to get a superior room, we bought two rooms, we went to the room, there is no balcony, we got down immediately and told them that there is no balcony in the city view rooms, we said if you change it, it costs 80 euros a night. They said, we went back to the room, we said we can open the windows and get some air, the windows are opened from the top with a transom, we said we should open the top opening fully, 8 cm, but it did not open, they put a key lock. As a result, we were deceived, I looked at the room information, it says that the room with a city view has a window, and of course you say there will be a window, you skip the balcony. Do not deceive people, there is NO BALCONY, I have asthma in summer. I put my nose to the edge of the window to breathe at night. People need fresh, clean air by the sea. Do not give misleading information to people and play with their health for your financial gain. Who would think that the room will have no balcony and the windows will be locked, give people real information. I condemn you for doing this, I hope you do the right thing. .

The hotel in Kavala may not be classified as a 5-star establishment, but it met my expectations for the city. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, although it had a slightly musty odor. The bathroom was also generously sized and well-maintained. Breakfast offered a decent variety, although certain items like strawberries were not promptly restocked when they ran out. The mornings tended to be busy, and parking could be challenging when the hotel was full, possibly due to sharing spaces with local residents. Despite these minor inconveniences, I believe it's the best choice among Kavala's accommodations. The staff were friendly, although not overly attentive, and the room rates didn't quite match the service level. It was also peculiar that while they provided tea, coffee, and cream in the rooms, guests had to pay for drinking water to prepare them.

Besides the furniture which gloriously survived the 90’ties and the extremely dubious colors of the bathtub (I think the cleaning lady missed that aspect for the last 3-5 years), we got the chance to discover the genius of the hotel management when we wanted to dine on the terrace near the pool. That’s the only one they have opened, by the way. On the terrace they have about 20 tables out of which one was busy. After the guy in the reception told us we can have dinner outside, the guy handling the service on the famous terrace kindly told us that we should eat in our room because a la carte clients can’t dine on the terrace. 🤷♂️Leaving aside the feeling that gives you, the rule is either idiotic or at least dumb.
As we just want to grab something to eat and go to sleep fast (thanks God we stayed here only one night) we ordered something in the room. After about 40 minutes they served us in the room. The food was pure mediocre and we paid for it something around 60 Euro.
We slept thru the night and left 6.00, even though our plans were to spend another night.
Now if you want to overpay on a 3 star hotel and brag around that you stayed in a 5 star the place is perfect!

I wouldn’t call this a 5 star hotel but for Kavala it was ok. The room was spacious, clean but it smelled musty. The bathroom was clean and spacious but outdated. We didn’t attempt going to the breakfast buffet, it looked over crowded every morning. The hotel is located about a 10 minute drive to the port where all the restaurants and shopping is located. There’s parking at the hotel which is convenient. Compared to other hotels in Kavala this is probably the best option. The staff were nice but didn’t go out of their way. The price of the rooms doesn’t measure up to the service. Very expensive for what you are getting.

A wonderful hotel on the beach close to the center of Kavala. There are all 5 star services. A new and clean hotel. Beach on three sides. But the entrance area is included in the hotel. Sun loungers and umbrellas are free. Catering service is also available at the beach. There is parking around the hotel, but it is difficult to find a parking space as the other half of the beach is open to locals. There is a family atmosphere. beware. There is a boat rental in the bay, without a captain. We were very pleased with the hotel restaurant. The cooks were very good. So is Chef Alexander. 1 kg. Klamara was €40, 1 portion of Shrimp was €20, 200ML Barbayannis green was €8.5. It wasn't that expensive from outside. Let's talk about why I gave it 4 stars. This luxury hotel has installed such an air conditioning system on the roof that it feels like you are traveling on a permanent jet plane. Although we were generally very satisfied, our sleep quality was affected.

First of all, the hotel is great!
I would particularly like to highlight the top service in all areas; reception, housekeeping, restaurants, poolside and Help center for IT problems. The order of enumeration does not represent a score!
If possible, all wishes of the guest are fulfilled, minor and major disasters are solved immediately.
The cleanliness in all areas is exemplary.
The breakfast buffet is incredibly varied, again the good spirits are very friendly and attentive.
However, minor defects can be noted in the area of the room facilities. So the furniture has already come of age, the bathroom lacks storage facilities and the provision of toiletries is a bit poor.
I can really highly recommend the place and will definitely come back.

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay on 2nd floor over looking the small beach and old city. Breakfast was excellent and the bed comfortable. The pool area was lovely and well maintained and pool a good place to cool off. The highlight was our massages in their spa with Melanie. First time for a candle wax massage which was delightful and skin still felt good 24 hours later. Spent an hour before it using the sauna, steam room and indoor pool. It’s a must.

The Good: We stayed in a spacious room which was clean, we loved the central AC, comfortable beds, and a great bathroom experience. The breakfast was also particularly good! Having a hotel near the city is always great.
The Bad: The hotel advertises that visitors have a choice to swim in front of the hotel and back, problem is, we tried once and was NOT clean and full of rocks (back side), since the hotel is built within the peninsula of the Kavala and not outside of it. We drove every day to other beautiful and clean waters.
Our key cards kept getting demagnetized so on many occasions we had to visit the reception repeatedly. As for the staff, some could have been more welcome.
The hotel could easily be a five-star had they not deceiving with photos and accommodation. The addition of a steep price tag did not help! 👎

A very comfortable hotel. Our room was upgraded without us having to ask for it. On request we kindly received a water cooker. However, they could be more clear about the spa: be aware that this is only available without costs for a single hour. Small minor points: music during breakfast is of low taste (no sphere) and TV is less than adequate: apart from BBC World and TV5 (!?) all channels are Greek (at least four of which are ultra-nationalistic, right-wing).

Recall steps to the pool area. Main restaurant is straight out of a lift with good access. Our sea view room would have been fine with a wheel chair.
Beach and water entrance are sandy with almost no stones, but the surroundings are not that great. In 7 days we only stayed one day on this beach.
