Delightfully simple, peaceful and such friendly people. It was rather like strpping back in time. Very small town which is unspoiled and unfinished. Townsfolk are enthusiastic and the beach is shingly but safe and close to everything. Plenty of simple tavernas.

We stayed for two days at Poros Beach studios on our way to other islands of Ionion sea. The room was spacious with a view to the camping site. The beach is just a few meters away, near the entrance of the camping. Although we were couples, our rooms could easily accommodate up to four persons . There is this attic with internal stair leading to another double bed room for kids or another couple. The small kitchen could be used for preparing breakfast and there is of course AC and a refrigerator. We could also park the car in a sheltered parking place. There is a mini market in the camping only for the basics (thankfully since reaching a larger supermarket from Mikros Gialos is not so easy). Very good for a few (or more) days, if you are not much for the exploring kind of holidays and prefer relaxing near the sea. At the beachfront there are also a few taverns, restaurants and coffee shops.

A beautiful cove that is excellent for snorkelling - we saw so many different types and colours of fish. The only reason I didn’t give this 5/5 is the parking- or lack of it. I would recommend either going early or after 4pm for ease of parking. Refreshments available in local tavernas

We spent 4 nights in this camping, Poros Beach camping from Lefkada, using a large tent for my family and I can say that everything was so great. Irene, probably the owner of this camping, was so nice with us from the beginning, she let us chose what pitch we wanted. There are many trees with a lot of shadow, the camping is so closed to the beach, we had electricity, hot water, cleaned toilets, places to wash the dishes and clothes, there is Menta restaurant and a swimming pool in the top of the building offering a nice view to the sea. There is a supermarket inside the camping where you can finds drinks and some food, for emergencies, but a big supermarket is 5 km from Poros beach far away. I really recommend this camping. Ramona from Romania.

Starting with the room, you walk a narrow alley with no ramp for the wheel chair. With difficulty you pass the wheelchair of the baby the 2 nasty big stairs while drops of water are falling on your head because a client above is drying his swimming suit. Entering the tiny room you realise that the balcony is watching olive trees instead of seaside. Nevertheless the site claims beachfront! On the interior there is a big steep dangerous stair which leads to the penthouse and if you are 1,80 m heigh you hit your head on the ceiling and the lady reminds you that it is not allowed to step with shoes on the cheap carpet :-) You ask for the wifi code and she replies abruptly "wifi only on the balcony and it is slow". On the 3square meter balcony you hear, you watch and you are being watched by everyone on the same floor because the balcony-seperator (God makes it seperator) is made of wood and huge gaps. The small kitchen is so tiny that only a plate can fit and also the plug above the kitchen is out of order. Above the kitchen box there were many spider webs. Finally the rubbish bucket was broken. And all these services for the dump with 110€/day.

Pros: - Room had a beautiful sea view and a pretty big balcony. - Close to the beach. - Lots of parking areas - we had the car parked in an open garage. Cons: - No mosquito nest, but we didn't have problems with flies and mosquitoes. - Narrow and curvy road to the camping. - The price at the restaurants nearby are pretty big, but the food was good.

Hostile hosts who requested more money at the time of departure, who did not agree to change the room although they had free rooms. Cold water was very incipient, sometimes not at all. As for hot water, it is not appropriate to open the subject I do not recommend this location.

We have just returned from a full day at Poros beach. In contrary to the other recommended beaches, which I believe is mostly due to the color of the water, this one is a quite place with crystal clear water, very convenient to enter the water and driving their is much reasonable. 2 beds and umbrella for 7 Euro in you can use 3 of it to eat at the restaurant.

If you're looking for camping this one's perfect. You get a lot of places, a lot of shadow, electricity, very nice clean bathrooms with mirrors and blow dryers and hot water 24/7, barbecue with tables and benches, swimming pool, very nice restaurant at the top floor of the main building with lovely view of the beach, a little supermarket. The beach is one min away from the camping, several small ones are along the way. There are also several restaurants nearby with a lot of choice. The hotel part is also really nice, we spent one night there - nice rooms, large terrace, kitchenette. I saw a lot of comments about the staff - they were very kind to us, not a single problem.
