A very beautiful, serene place to stay during your holiday with lots of utilities. The well kept yard is accompanied by a beautiful pool including beds and umberellas. There's also the posibility to borrow bikes for free. They only ask a small fee for the bike's maintanance. There's also a small reading/chill corner where you can barrow or trade books if you like. The small and cosey house provides everything, including air conditioning and your own mini kitchen if you feel to cook your own food. Outside the house, you have your own private terras with a table and a couple of comfortable chairs. The hostess and housekeeping are very welcoming. Every day they clean the place outside and every two days they clean the inside of the house, including fresh towels. You'll have your own designated and surveiled parking spot. Finally, there are lot of extra utilities within walking distance from Casa Campos. Even the centre of the city is fairly easy to reach by foot. A superb place to stay to say the least. Would most definitly come again when visiting the island.

At arrival we were very warmly received by the hostess and shown about the premise. This was a small campus of 6 small snug villas and a big yard only for the renters with a pool, (my favourite) a hammock and (my girlfriends favourite) a small family of kittens that also made the lush garden their home. The campus is located about 5 minutes by car from Lefkada, so groceries and diner were always around the corner and ample parking space in front of the house. A great accommodation for a couple getaway!

Casa Campos is situated in what used to be a field with olive trees, away from the traffic of Lefkada town. Within this olive garden the owners have built five two-level small houses, each of which is split in different two level apartments. These two-storey appartments have been built in a very careful way and they seem to wonderfully integrate with the many remaining olive trees resulting to a very beautiful sight. There is a small and well-kept swimming pool for the people that decide not to go to the beach. The staff is very friendly, with the female owner welcoming you and taking half an hour to show the appartment AND point out on a map all the good restaurants and sight-seeing highlights!

After listening about Lefkada’s fabulous beaches for many years, my girlfriend and I decided to visit the island last year as part of our two week vacation also including Corfu and Paxoi. Friends that have visited the island advised us not to stay in the actual town of Lefkada since it is rather far from most of the island’s famous beaches and apart from a very small part of it, it looks more of a mainland town developed in the 70s-80s and less of the capital of an island. After visiting the island, I would definitely agree to them since most of the places of interest of the island are far from Lefkada town, which means that if staying in Lefkada town you should definitely have your own car to cover the distances. Despite this, we decided to try our luck with Casa Campos in the outskirts of Lefkada town and we were not disappointed. In terms of location Casa Campos is situated in what used to be a field with olive trees, away from the traffic of Lefkada town with easy access to the roads leading both to the mainland and the beaches of the island since you don’t have to go through the center of the town. Within this old olive garden the owners have built a number of two-level small houses, each of which is split in different two level apartments. While it might sound strange, the houses have been built in a very careful way and they seem to wonderfully integrate with the many remaining olive trees resulting to a very beautiful sight. Most of the houses are built around a small swimming pool for the people that decide not to explore the many beaches every day. While we didn’t try the pool, it seemed not crowded and people could easily relax either on the wooden sun beds (it was very nice not having to see the typical plastic sunbeds) or the carefully kept lawn around the pool. While the apartment we were staying in was just in front of the pool, we didn’t feel upset by people coming and going to the pool since the owners made sure to raise small walls of plants which along with a couple of old and big olive trees protected the privacy of the small patio in front of our entrance. In this patio we enjoyed our morning coffee in the shade, which we made from the supplies that the owners provided us with when we checked in (coffee, tea, toasts, butter, jam, local wine etc.) Inside the apartment was split in two different levels, with the lower one having the kitchen and living area with a table, two chairs, a sofa and the TV and the stairs leading up to the bedroom and bathroom. Overall the apartment was of a very decent size with only the bathroom feeling a bit on the small side without though feeling awkward about it. The kitchen was equipped with a small fridge, cooking utensils, electric cooker and in general well equipped to support someone that would decide not to dine out every night. The owner was very polite and patient with us when we were on the phone with him asking for directions to the place. He gave us advice on how to move around the island and was willing to help with everything we might ask. Don’t expect to have sea views or anything since the place is located not by the sea but as mentioned already it was very conveniently located close to the roads leading to the beaches. t. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay to Casa Campos, which we also found very reasonably priced and we would definitely recommend it.
