Once you've found it (and owners are very helpful with that) - just a short drive up from the lovely village of Karya that comes alive at night, the views are to die for over the hillsides and out to sea. Owners and staff were delightful though don't be afraid to ask as its not your typical hotel set up...theres a working bar and delicious local food served to your room or to the communal eating area, but you have to ask! the villas are independent and fully equipped..and cleaned regularly. Very comfortable and clean...and staff on hand for regular cleaning and upkeep. This is a very special place and would be tempting never to move from the splendour of the site, but the island has so much to offer. While the location looks far from everywhere, it really isn't, but brace yourselves for narrow lanes and adventures...the beaches are utterly mesmerising for day trips - a different beach every day... Would recommend without hesitation.…

Was recommended to stay at Villa Merlot from a past visitor and was happy he sent me here. The staff was great and even gave a couple of recommendations for dinner in the city. The rooms were spacious and very clean. My favorite part of the trip is the breathtaking view and patio area that always was a bright and refreshing start to my mornings. Even though I wasn’t staying in the main town, the commute to beaches and town were not bad at all.

This is the second time we stayed at Villa Merlot. Not only the houses but the entire property is well kept and very clean. The two brother that own the hotel make us feel like family. They are very dedicated to the property and their guests. The villa was spacious, clean and offered all the amenities needed to enjoy our stay! They are located just outside a beautiful village offering excellent views of the island from the balcony. It is very easy getting to the beaches from the property as you do not get stuck in the traffic coming from the city. We will be back again soon for holidays. Thank you Villa Merlot!!

The staff is wonderful. The hotel is placed away from tourist crowd with a beautiful view on the island. The rooms are in separate floors with balcony on both main floors. Everything is very clean and daily taken care of. A quiet small hotel with everything you need for a vacation. Prerfect stay for families.

The host are fully dedicated to the guest. The room was perfectly clean. The site is great. The pool is wath you need after a day of travel in Greece. The view all around is perfect and the hotel is hight in altitude providing a frech wind in the evening. There is no real restaurant but the host offered us to cook lunch and dinner. We took the option with breakfast. I would recommand this accomodatioin to everybody visiting Lefkada.

Wonderful accommodation in the heart of Lefkada !!! We spent a perfect week in June there and we couldnt wish more..the weather was very hot and sunny, the sea was clear and warm. From Merlot you can enjoy breathtaking seaview.. you will also get very quickly everywhere by rented car and never get bored ... Kostas And Spiros are the best hosts ever !!! Great view, very clean (the garden,the pool, the villa are cleaned daily), you find anything you need in the villa and the hosts are some amazing people who try to solve any request you might have. The location of the villa, up on the mountain, although it might seem a bit far from the main attractions of Lefkada, is an attraction itself and yet not that far (in 30 minutes you can get anywhere on the island). After a crowded and hot day on Lefkada's beaches coming to the quiet villa and watch an amazing view is refreshing. Plus the temperature is lower and everyone needs to cool down after a sunny beach day.Me and my friends had a great vacation over there and think of coming back next year.

We had a unexpected surprise stay at Villa Merlot. The three storey rooms were exceptionally clean and well appointed. We arrived tired and hungry to find food in the fridge, free snacks and wine and a bowl of fruit all complimentary. The property itself sits very high in the hills overlooking Lefkada. The property also has a very substantial pool that the kids loved. All in all a great stay and would like to come back to enjoy the place again.

We felt like home. The hosts did everything to make our stay more enjoyable. The Villa has a nice swimming pool and barbacue place. The rooms are clean and nice. The only downsides are that the bathroom is not in the room and the long distance from the nearest beach (7 Km). With a car there will be no problem though. All in all it was a great experience! Radu
