Beautiful place. Small but friendly people, small choice of reataraunts, however the ones we visited were very good. Definitely worth a visit. Hired one of the small boats, which was great fun although a little scary due to our inexperience..... Luckily assistance was given from the restaraunt owners when mooring....phew thankfully. Great place. Lovely people

Porto Vathi studios have amazing views over the harbour of Vathi -particularly the 2 studios on the top floor. The balcony catches the morning sun and is shaded and nice and cool for the rest of the day. The balconies although open are far enough apart and large enough to offer relative privacy. We had the studio for 2 and our next door neighbours to the right were a local fisherman and his wife who were very friendly. The studios were very basic but the double bed was more comfortable than most beds i've slept on in Greece and the pillows were lovely and soft. Hot water was uperated by using an immersion switch, Ihr before needed. This was never a problem and due to the changeable weather it became much more preferable to solar power heating. The shower was hand held but very powerful. All in all we had an excellent stay and would reccomend to those who want a very traditional greek experience.…
