Stayed here for a week end of July beginning of august 2022. Would nightly rate this hotel for anyone wanting a relaxing break away. It is a small hotel run by a family who bend over backwards to make the stay as pleasant and easy as possible. The hotel is spotless and there are plenty of sun beds whatever time you head to the pool. On the same strip are a range of restaurants/tavernas and there are 2 local beaches which are lovely to visit - although do note this hotel is up the hill and a taxi is a good idea for the return journey- but ask Jenny for a number and you will have no difficulties in getting one. Only thing to note is that the hotel only takes cash - wasn’t a problem and there is an atm 2 minutes walk but worth knowing.
It was my first visit to Kefalonia and we found this hotel which seemed ideally located for what my friend and I were after as we wanted a relaxing break away. The hotel is an older style (only 20 rooms) and is pretty traditional Greek which is great. Jenny and Gregori are fantastic, friendly hosts and, along with the rest of the staff, make for a really family friendly feel. Rooms are basic but cleaned every day and the bathrooms have recently been done very well. The beds are also sooo comfortable. All rooms (bar single rooms) have fantastic sea views. There are many returning customers and I can see why. Being so small it has a much more intimate feeling. We went out for dinner each evening but, for the days we were at the pool we ate lunch which was fantastic and much more than I expected really for just a pool 'snack bar'. Due to its location the beach is a bit of a walk but took us about 40 mins to get there down the 'goat track' and was certainly worth doing at least once! All in all, a great little hotel, fantastic hospitality and an amazing, relaxing holiday…
Quite simply the best host and hostess on the island. Tzeni, Grigoris and their fab team will look after you superbly in their little slice of paradise. Nothing is too much trouble, the food is fantastic, the service is beyond excellent, the room has everything you need and the location is stunning.
What can I say except perfect!!! If you are looking for modern interiors, entertainment and structure to your holiday then this little gem is not for you If however you want traditional and personalised greek hospitality in beautiful surroundings then you won't go wrong. The hotel sits on the hillside with stunning views over the sea and is within walking distance ( albeit downhill to stunning beaches We booked our 7 night B&B . stay last minute and whilst we had read previous reviews I was a little apprehensive as to the 2 star rating The room was cleaned daily and of traditional Greek style with fridge, kettle, basic furniture walk in shower safe and hairdryer. Air conditioning was payable locally and definatly required. Our bed was very comfortable unlike some greek beds we've slept in previously . Stepping out onto our balcony was breathtaking and the sunsets over the mountain stunning . Jenny and Greg along withe their staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome . The breakfast was lovely with good choices and snacks available through the day which were reasonably priced. Tavernas are all within walking distance should you wish to eat out in the evening The only criticism I have is that some guests ) are inconsiderate regarding placing towels on the sun beds very early in the morning which I think should be discouraged (towels removed) as we were not the only guests to make comment about this whilst we were there on our last couple of days If you like tradition , views to die for and a base for walking or touring the island I would highly recommend this hotel . Thankyou Jenny and Greg . If we return to Kefalonia we will definitely be staying with you again Sam and Simon room 203…
Well where do I start! I booked this very last minute and it was my first time away on my own. Now Im no snob but I wouldn't normally look at anything less than 3 star but the reviews on this place plus it being small and of course being called Maria Anna swung it as that my name . Its a very small traditional Greek hotel. It should most definitely be a 3 star, lovely room with wet room fridge and kettle and 3/4 bed plus balcony, lovely breakfast with great choices included. Lunch menu had good variety and reasonable priced if you didn't feel like leaving the lovely poolside. Jenni and Gregori were perfect hosts and all the staff were a credit to them. The place was spotless in every area. Definitely the choice for a quiet breakaway and I will 100% be returning x
It belies its 2 star status. We have just come back from a fabulous week stay here made extra special by the owners Jenny and Gregory. They go out of their way to help you and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotlessly clean - everywhere is even if the furniture is a little dated. The beds are exceptionally comfortable and the views over Lourdas Bay are breath taking. You can eat at the bar and the prices of all food and drinks are very reasonable. Most people who we spoke to were return visitors and we noticed several single travellers who is perfect for as its so relaxed and friendly. Lourdas has many great restaurants and the walk to the beach is about 2Kms downhill so a taxi back in the heat was what we chose. The beach is amazing by the way. Do not overlook this hotel you really will be hooked…
This was our third time staying at this place and was probably the best visit we’ve had so far. Fabulous rooms which have had a revamp in recent years - we got a double bed this time which is so rare to find in Greece! Perfectly situated near restaurants and supermarkets. Jenny and Greg are wonderful hosts, and our housekeeper Rita was phenomenal and did an amazing job - I wish I could take her home with me!! The people also holidaying this year really made our trip extra special with a great friendly atmosphere around the pool and in the evenings. Greg’s lunches are legendary! Huge portions, tasty and delicious and all excellent value for money. We love this place and will be back as soon as we can. Thank you all for such a perfect holiday!
What a find! A fantastic family run hotel! Rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. Paid €20 for the AC for 3 nights and was a god send! Breakfast is lovely as is the bar food. Gregory and Jenny are amazing and make you feel very comfortable and welcome. Prices for food and drink is spot on. Pool area is lovely, quiet and a fab view! Some nice places to eat locally. Going to book next year!
Stayed here for our 32nd wedding anniversary in may , Jenny and Gregory and there staff couldn’t do enough for you and from word go made us feel welcome and valued . They even left 2 glasses and Prosecco in our room when the saw the anniversary cards beautiful touch . A lot of the guests here were returning quest and I can understand why but having said that they also made us feel welcome and not like it was our first time at all . The room we had was lovely ,compact and typical Greek but everything we needed for our stay . The view from the pool area and our balcony were fantastic. We have stayed in this resort before so where aware that it is quiet hilly but we love the walks round the area even with the hills but probably not suitable to people with walking difficulties , breakfast was delicious everyday and cooked fresh for you when you ordered. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again Jenny and Gregory are perfect hosts…
Have just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks at this lovely hotel. Several Covid restrictions in place from both the tour operator & government such as early bar closing, no non-resident visitors, no hotel pool towels, etc, but Jenny, Gregori, Dora & Makis still managed to make it a great holiday! The breakfasts are great, service perfect & cleanliness spot on. This hotel is perfectly placed to explore all of the nearby beaches, & to visit the local tavernas, & is small enough to provide a cosy, friendly environment. Most of the guests are regulars & so we meet meet old friends there on each visit...new guests are made welcome by other guests & the staff. Can't praise this place enough! 😊
