Many folks visit Sintra as a day trip from Lisbon but we decided to spend an evening there so as to enjoy the town in the evening and be one of the first groups at the Peña Palace in the morning. We enjoyed spending the evening in the town but got going a mite too late for the Peña Palace which for the 10:00AM interior tour was a sea of humanity crammed into narrow castle corridors. But back to the Sintra Boutique Hotel. The hotel is very centrally located in Sintra. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the train station. We found the hotel to be very pleasant and well managed. The staff was courteous, the bed comfortable, the view from our room to the National Palace very nice, the breakfast excellent. What more could one ask for.

Clean, convenient, and excellent breakfast. I highly recommend booking so that breakfast is included. It’s a gorgeous breakfast and well worth the money. My room was very clean and stylish. The bathroom was spotless. My bed was comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful on arrival. They held my luggage for the day and helped me plan my itinerary. They made excellent suggestions and I was not disappointed! The same when I checked out. They held my luggage, arranged my taxi and helped plan my day. I would stay here again.

Located right in town, opposite the National Palace. Smallish but well-appointed rooms, friendly and efficient staff, lots of dining options nearby, superb breakfast. We'd not taken time to overnight in Sintra on previous visits -- now highly recommend it as the evenings (after day-trippers have left) and mornings are magical. Sidebar -- we waited to visit the National Palace until an hour before it closed and had the place to ourselves.

We were told by friends that instead of doing a day trip to Sintra from Lisbon we should stay overnight to make sure we had time to see everything. That was great advice, and choosing this hotel added to our positive experience in Sintra. It's well-located -- you can see the Sintra National Palace from the windows and can easily walk to restaurants and bars in the town. We had a standard double room -- it was roomy, modern in feel, very clean and well-maintained. Robes and slippers were provided. Breakfast was more than adequate.

Pretty much a perfect stay: excellent location, nice size room with good double windows (no noise inside even though we were facing a busy street), helpful staff and a great breakfast, one of the best we had in Portugal. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay at Sintra Boutique Hotel. We had a street facing room but was still quiet at night. Very good sleep quality with super comfy bed, dark shades and good air con. The breakfast was the best of our week in Portugal and the room bright and cheery. Driving into Sintra is quite challenging and not for everyone. Be sure to study your Google maps and traffic signs beforehand. One wrong turn and it’s a 20 minute loop back to the hotel. But once we arrived, the parking was very convenient and the attentive staff took care of everything. Location is great and close to everything. Great stay all around, Thank you!

Very cute boutique hotel convenient to main attractions and in the center of town. The staff is outstanding, friendly, helpful with travel arrangements to the main attractions, and wonderful with making dinner reservations to very traditional, charming Portuguese restaurants. The hotel is simplistic but has a charm of it’s own. It is very clean and the rooms are well appointed. We had a nice view of the castle. It is very easy to get around Sintra from this hotel. If you want a luxury hotel they are much further out of town so my husband and I felt like this was a good option since we were able to walk to the main attractions accept for Peña Castle. The hotel had a nice breakfast cafe. Sintra is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay.

Clean and big rooms in this hotel. The bad part was eating experience. Also, food tasted stale. We constantly were looking for waiting staffs as they were no where to be seen after we sat down. Not regularly replenished as well. We recommend eating out but staying in this hotel.

This hotel was perfect for our stay in central Sintra, and is located within a short walking distance to great restaurants, music, and quaint shopping. The rooms were spacious, well appointed, and very clean. A full Breakfast was included and provided a delicious selection of hot & cold items, local pastries, fresh fruits and friendly service. Highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff.
