Reception is kind and friendly, the hotel follows the Ibis standards all over the world, so no complain is accepted from those who don't know the brand. It could, however, cost a little less!
Having stayed in this unit some years ago, it's time to change or update the furniture, giving some clear signs of tiredness!
Breakfast is basic but you won't miss anything for the first meal of the day, which can be extended to 12h on weekends!
Eating options other than breakfast in the hotel are limited and much more expensive than in the mall nearby, so the short walk makes you save some euros and get more on the plate!
Parking costs 12 euros and pets are welcome at a cost.
As I said, it is most convenient for an overnight in Lisbon or to revisit the city from a different perspective.
The hotel is located close to the central station of 'Oriente', 3 Metro stops from the Airport so it's very easy to reach the hotel. Also nearby you can find the 'Vasco de Gama Shopping Center" where you can find restaurants movie theaters and lots of shopping. The hotel is close to the sea front where you have many restaurants and bars, also in walking distance from the hotel you can find the 'Lisboa Aquarium'.
The rooms were basic and practical with comfortable bed and good A/C and small window with a view, The room has a nice and clean bathroom with strong shower head which is nice. On my day of arrival the TV cables didn't work and when I came back after dinner to my hotel I called Miguel to check it out and he couldn't fix it, but offered me to move a room I said thanks and refused as I was too tired to pack again and move however the next day the cables were fixed.
One advice to hotel cleaning personnel to check daily whether soap/shampoo is needing replenishing when cleaning the rooms, cause my soap ran out and I had to call reception to bring me soap. So this should be checked regularly.
Besides that the hotel was great the breakfast was decent and good.
I recommend people to visit the hotel as it's a good one with great service.
Breakfast were basic but sufficient. Was not quite happy by absence of a safe lock in the room...
What did not help is that we got ripped off by taxi drivers from Lisbon Airport to the place - 2 of us did on separate trips. Front desk staff that day tried to help, to be fair but he was a tad intimidated in case of reprisals by the taxi driver.
Unlikely we will stay there again unless we have no choice.
The two things I would suggest would be: One, TV should have been connected to internet with at least YOUTUBE running as on the last day of my stay, it was raining, and I was in my room for almost half day. Second, the staff was helpful and courteous but without any smile on their faces. They should smile much more :-)
The beds in this hotel are amazing. The most comfortable hotel beds ever. I definitely want one of these beds for myself.
The hotel is a few minutes walk from Lisbon Oriente train station and about 8 mins in a taxi to the airport. (€8-€10).
The rooms are modern and very clean.
There is a Resturant and bar.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there on future trips to Lisbon.
