The location is near a train/subway station although better directions could be given incoming guests. The property is definitely clean and what little there is in the room worked as it should, including a very good shower. The rooms are very small as are the beds with almost no room to walk between them. Think of a dorm room without a fridge (which is one reason I would not recommend this hotel) and microwave (there are two in the lobby that you can use). There is no meaningful desk area in the room but for a tiny workspace. Room lighting was good. Air conditioning would not turn off by the thermostat and had to be shut off entirely to keep the room from getting too cold. No instructions for operation. No ice machines. Small paper drinking cups in the room. Basically charges mid-range hotel prices for what is a glorified hostel or dorm room (at least a hostel would have a fridge available for your groceries). Checkin was friendly but kind of slow and inefficient. Hallways were hot (no AC). Easy to get injured (as we were) on the bed frames in the tiny room. Supposedly there is a business center but I did not see a printer there (could have been one but I did not see it). WiFi worked well. Pantry was quite pricey -- $2.20 for a small bottle of water and $2.75 for a can of soda. There was no guide to area shopping and attractions.

This is a Marriott property but is little more than a glorified hostel or dorm room and overpriced. Inefficient checkin process was slow and there were lines of people to get that done. The lack of a fridge and proper work area in the rooms is another drawback. With better management, appropriate furnishings and a better attitude it might be worth the price.

The location is near the Oriente rail/metro station and a shopping mall with a large hypermarket grocery store.

This hotel is near the Oriente train station, taxies, busses, and a major shopping center. The CP.pt and Metro trains connect with most of Portugal from here. The location is within reasonable walking distance of many fine restaurants and one of the best Aquariums in Europe.

Personnel are polite, helpful, educated, and speak English as well as a few other languages. Rooms are Card Key operated, i.e. the elevator, door locks, and room lights are all controlled by your Card Key. There is a safe, but like most of the hotels we stayed at, no refrigerator, no microwave, and no coffee pot. The do serve breakfast at 10 euro each per day. There is a full bar.

Last night of our 9-day trip. Selected the Moxy for the price and the proximity to the metro (only 3 stops from the airport). This was my first experience with Moxy and it was pleasant.

Check-in was easy but I did think it was odd they I was charged at check-in vs check out. I ended up with two bills since we later charged our drinks to the room.

The hotel is new and quiet. The rooms are on the small side with no storage. The bed was firm but comfortable. Bathroom was very small, had good water pressure and decent size towels. However, there was no washcloth, asked the housekeeping staff and it was confirmed no washcloths are provided.

Lobby is funky with a relaxed vibe, after dinner we headed back to the lobby for a few drinks, which were reasonability priced.

Hotel is just a block from the Oriente Station. Metro from Hotel to Airport was just over 1 Euro making for an inexpensive transfer option, it’s a few mins walk from the hotel to Oriente.

Great stay for what we needed. However, I would not use this hotel as a base for exploring Lisbon as you a bit away from the historic center.

I cannot say enough good things about the Moxy Lisboa Oriente, and highly recommend it!! The service we received for the duration of our stay was impeccable!!

Unfortunately I neglected to get her name, but the front desk agent that checked us in on the early morning of 10/5/21 was extremely kind and accommodating to us!! She graciously allowed us to check into our hotel room VERY early; & and following an extremely long and challenging travel day from the West Coast, with no sleep in over a 24-hour period. I find particularly these days, that so often the ladies & gentlemen working in the customer service industry immediately say “no” before even attempting to accommodate a request, which is extremely frustrating & discouraging! Most certainly not the case here!!

The room while small, offered a very efficient use of every inch of space. The hotel designer thought of literally “everything,” and our “7” pieces of luggage (including 2 very large 28” suitcases, plus 2 other large 26” suitcases) fit perfectly; while also giving us plenty of room to move about the room. The metal rack adhered to the wall was very clever, and came in very handy; as did the ledge lining the inside perimeter of the room. The lighting, & placement of the lighting was perfect. The bed and pillows were so cozy and comfortable. And the bed linens and towels were divine. We very much appreciated the black out shades, which lent towards our perfect sleep. We also loved the Mux line of yummy and complimentary toiletries offered; and the water pressure and temperature in the shower was perfect!

We very much enjoyed, and thoroughly appreciated the complimentary alcoholic elixir craft cocktail offered at check-in; and the breakfast buffet was delicious, and plentiful; offering a wide range of breakfast items to enjoy. Loved the coffee machine too. The Moxy’s living room while very sleek and contemporary, offers the perfect space to work in, and/or to simply relax & talk story.

We have booked 4 additional stays at The Moxy Brand of hotels, and for our 3-month stay touring Portugal. Can’t wait!

Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much) for your most generous and gracious hookipa (hospitality), and a hui hou (until we meet again).

We stayed at the Moxy Lisboa Oriente for a total of three nights over two stays. The location was perfect for us as the hotel is literally a three minute walk from the front door to the Oriente train station. From the train station, we were able to get to Sintra, Lisbon city center, and Porto. Near the train station is a mall (Vasco de Gama) with a large grocery store (Continente). There are a number of great restaurants within walking distance (.5 mile, about 10 minutes) along a promenade on the bay. The area - as was all of the places we visited in Portugal - was very safe, even at night. We visited during a small lockdown due to Covid and New Year's Eve holiday. The bar at the hotel was closed and we needed to provide verification of a negative Covid test to check in. From the welcome drinks to lining up a taxi at 2:30 am on a Monday, the staff were wonderful. The rooms were proportioned perfectly for our needs and we have stayed at Moxy hotels in the US so we were aware of the quirky décor. The only minor negative was that there was construction on a building right next to the hotel that produced some noise, but given the holidays and early starts most days, it only affected us one morning.

Due to the price, location, accommodation, and staff, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I completed online check in using the Marriott app and it took 30 minutes from arriving at the hotel to receive the room key. This is pretty unacceptable considering there was only 1 other person in front of me.

Sink in bathroom leaks.

Mass confusion over the Marriott daily F&B credit amongst the staff. Given 1 chip for a drink (was explained on check in that I could get a drink from the bar with this) and then other staff are telling me I need to exchange the chip for the €8 F&B credit. I was only given 1 chip on checking in but am staying for 2 nights. Very confusing, no one seems to know what they’re doing

Hotel is in a decent location and part of Marriott Bonvoy. I would say the Moxy in the centre has nicer rooms and the rooftop pool.

Chose this hotel for its proximity to airport after a late afternoon flight and because it had our two requirements: A/C and parking. Did not want to start driving in unfamiliar territory in the dark. Check in was easy and parking is available for 10 euros per night. Standard room size was adequate for 1 night but the HVAC is set to heating in the winter without possibility for cool air. Staff brought up a portable fan which helped a bit but could not get a good night sleep without a cool room. Breakfast is a selection of unremarkable items and coffee quality needs improvement. Attentive and friendly staff in a quirky vibe lounge setting. A/C issue is detrimental.

I stayed at this hotel for a conference. Stay was fine and hotel was comfortable. However, when I arrived home I found that I had been over charged by 350EUR for my stay. I’ve been trying to get a refund from the hotel for these funds for the last 10 days … lots of assurances the funds will be in my account but no money actually arriving. Hotel manager Fernando truly incompetent. Awful, awful experience.

As we spoke, we weren't able to the the reimbursment directy to your credit card, so we had to ask to external entities to do so. I know we are responsible for that and I asume the fault, but the reimbursment is ongoing and you will get your money soon. Once again I apolagize for this situation, and I am, as I was always at your entire disposal, Regards, Fernando Amorim

We chose the Moxy for our last night in Portugal mainly because of its location next to the Oriente train station, which meant a very easy trip the airport the next morning (door to door took about 12 minutes and two bucks). It was comparable in price to the others nearby, and it looked decent in pictures. Well the pictures are deceiving. Everything in the room feels cheap and unpleasant. The mattress was rock hard, the sheets felt like rubber, and one of the pillows literally had a rubber case. I was given an accessible room for whatever reason, so I wasn't cramped for space. But one side of the bed was so close to the wall that it wasn't really possible to walk next to it. The lobby was nice at least, with lots of grab and go options, a nice bar, and a free welcome drink. I didn't do the breakfast but was told by someone I travelled with that it wasn't very good. So, all in all, now that I know what the Moxy brand is like I would avoid it going forward.

A very chic hotel with a fun vibe. Service from the very beginning was very helpful and the front desk offered very meaningful suggestions for our visit and answered all our questions. They even offered us their special hotel drink which was pretty dope! Hotel is also 2-3 min walk away from the Oriente Train / Subway / Bus station, the Vasco Da Gama center (mall) and the riverfront with some very cool restaurants. Slight downside was that the room was a bit small for two people (that could be our bad in terms of reservation type) and they didn’t have a dedicated iron for each room… you have to go to the ironing room on each floor. Other than that, it was a great stay! Will definitely go back if ever in Lisbon again.
