The hotel enjoys an excellent location, close to the city centre and the places/bars most visited in the nightlife. This latter could represent a problem, if your room has the vindows that look at the side street where all those (very crowded & noisy bars) are located...
Loved staying here. It’s very central, near the metro from the Airport, clean, newly decorated rooms and the staff are great. Breakfast was very accommodating. We are vegan and they had alternative milks. Fabio was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is in the middle of old town so that you can walk to most sightseeing spots. The room and the bath felt new renovated. Our room was a bit too small to live out of the suitcase for a city trip but we had a fair rate and there are bigger rooms available. Due to Covid 19 you have to wear masks in the public area of the hotel and the breakfast is a la carte. That means that you chhose your bread, cheese, eggs, whatever at the waiter and they serve it to your table. They have fresh made juices you should try. As not everyone knows the local staff shows and explains things like tomato jam and god‘s bread very patient and kindly. Would rebook without a doubt.
Lovely little hotel with perfect modern yet contemporary rooms. A gem for downtown Lisbon. Could do with a terrace/gym/outside area etc, but that would drive prices too far up for the area. Was a pleasure to stay here and it was a perfect base for our Lisbon explorations!
Hotel da Baixa is a smart, contemporary hotel in the heart of central Lisbon. The location is great, it’s 20 minutes on the Aerobus to Rossio and the hotel is a short walk (5 minutes). The hotel is very central, so a quick walk to the coast and tourist highlights (castle etc) respectively plus a huge array of restaurants, bars and cafes are close to hand. Style is modern Portuguese, with a nod to the traditional. Hotel rooms are smart and very clean. Our room had a large comfy bed, walk in modern shower, all the toiletries you need, a good coffee machine, mini-bar (free soft drinks) and was spacious with powered blinds to keep cool by day and blackout curtains so you could sleep whatever time of day! A great space. Room had a smartphone with free call credit each day and loads of information about the area that we took out with us and found really useful. Staff were excellent, the friendliest we encountered and the breakfast was a great selection of pastries, bread, cold meats and cheese, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and cooked options. There was also a healthy corner with gluten free and similar options. It set us up fantastically for a day of exploring. Parking is available, we didn’t note any leisure facilities (gym, pool etc) but that’s clear on the website. What was a nice touch was water and coffee in the reception area, and a constant supply of pastel de nata’s! Overall a really good hotel - definitely recommended.…
