We booked a last minute trip as soon as Portugal was announced to be on the UK green travel list. We found an excellent deal for this hotel and as we have stayed a few times before we knew the location etc and it was the easy option as the booking was last minute.
Hotel was welcoming and was COVID safe. There was plenty of hand sanitiser and all facilities were spotlessly clean.
Rooms were marked with a COVID safe sticker over the door seal prior to you opening the door for the first time.
Breakfast is still available, but staff serve you behind the counters which seemed to be a new practice, and they were trying different methods each day when we were there to see which worked best.
Staff were very friendly and clearly glad to see some guests back. Some staff members seemed new, or perhaps had been off work for a while during quieter periods, and they took some time to take orders, bring drinks etc, but this was not a problem, we had plenty of time, and it was nice to be able to get away after such a long period of lockdown.
Pool area was very clean and I spotted loungers being sanitised.
Hotel is in an excellent location at the end of a stunning white sand beach, plenty of parking, great facilities and a short walk (up steps) to Praia da rocha and bars and restaurants.
It is worth mentioning that there is a water taxi (paid) in the Marina which takes you to ferragudo across the arade river, and also portimao. Ferragudo is a pretty little village on the river with bars and restaurants. Worth a visit for lunch for sure.
In short, looking forward to coming back!

I was here now for the fifth time. Like always it was a very relaxing and nice vacation and like every time a little different.
Especially this time because my godson/nephew came for a short vacation in the very same hotel during the very same time by accident. We didn't plan to vacation together but it was very much fun. My nephew fell in love with the hotel and the country nearly at once. He rented a motorcycle and explored the Algave from east to west and from north to south. He came back every day full of impressions, stories and beautiful pictures. He also enjoyed very much the fitness room for his daily workout. On his last day he didn't want to leave and decided to definitely come back some day.
Like the last four times I enjoyed my stay very much and had a good time to relax and to clear my mind. Helpful for that was lying and reading in the sun at the pool, walking along the beach, sitting near the ocean, doing a guided bustour, going shopping and doing walks in Portimão or doing nothing in particular.
The staff at the front desk is very nice, unbelievably patient and accomodating and always available for a little fun. The cleaning service-ladies are very friendly and do their job very precise and the staff in the breakfast-room is very nice and accomodating, too. Thank you for your good work.
I am looking forward to visit you again.

We visited this Hotel in February for my husbands birthday. The service from checking in to checking out was so easy, the reception staff are all very pleasent and helpfull. As are all of the staff.
Our room was overlooking the Marina so peaceful at this time of the year. Ask for a room that does not have an adjoining room, unless you want one. We were very unfortunate to have a room next to a couple who came in at 3.30 in the morning and started arguing, for about an hour. Thank goodness it was our last night or we would have been asking to be moved. The hotel has a no smoking policy which is great for non smokers. The food in the resturant was very good and plenty of choice. My husband had a Bottle of Bubbly and cake for his birthday which was very much appreciate. The only problem was the lack of Bars and Restaurants open at this time of year if you like eating out, or like a coffee or drink at night.you might struggle . We were half board, but you will stuggle if you were only booked for B & B.

Nice view of the marina from balcony if you block out the container in front. Close to the Portimao beaches. Building resembles US motel architecture. The walls are paper thin and you can hear people talking and babies crying from the other rooms. Bottled water is complimentary on first day only, then it is charged at 3 Euros. Coffee pods for machine in the room were also charged at 3 Euros. Breakfast was 15 min walk from room and was very busy.

This was our first trip overseas in nearly three years, you can imagine how good it felt to be abroad again.
We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by friendly reception staff, checked us in a very efficient and friendly manner. We were then introduced to our porter/hotel staff member, who guided us to our room, we did ask his name as he was so helpful and friendly, but we cant remember it, think he may have been called "Julio" he said he was a trainee at the time. During our stay while walking around he would always stop in his golf buggy and offer us a lift to wherever we were going.
The hotel has a fantastic restaurant with stunning views over the marina/harbour inlet. The food was of a really high standard and was always very fresh, we opted for the buffet most evening as we have smaller appetites so this allowed us to choose our portion sizes. The buffet was also extremely civilised with people waiting calmly in turn we were there in early May.
Staff were all very friendly, smiley faced and efficient, despite at times being busy they would always have time to pass time of day. Very good customer service nothing was to much trouble for any of them.
Cleanliness was excellent throughout the hotel. Rooms were always cleaned and replenished with what was like military precision. We felt very much at home during our stay.
In fact we enjoyed it so much we are due to return early September 2022, this time with our Daughter and 2 year old Grandson, we also decided to try the rooms that overlook the marina this time.
Thank you everyone at the Tivoli Marina Hotel for making our stay so pleasant, cant wait until September.

We loved the setting of our apartment with our own balcony overlooking the marina. We had been very impressed with the whole complex and the helpfulness of the staff. It was so good that we were talking of returning again this year….until something spoiled our stay on our last day.
We put up a do not disturb sign on our last day as we didn’t want the apartment serviced as we had started packing to come home.
When we returned to our apartment later in the evening we noticed that the room had been serviced which was a confusing surprise. The hotel says conveniently on investigation that the sign had fallen on the floor and was facing up stating “please come in and service room”!We continued to pack and then noticed a brand new bottle of Perfume was no longer on the bedside table. The perfume was missing! We have absolutely no doubts that it was taken from our room on our last day!
I have exchanged communications with the hotel but they say they have investigated but have found nothing to support our complaint saying their maids have worked there for many years etc etc.
We know, without any doubt whatsoever that the perfume was removed from our room.
It wasn’t expensive at £40 but it’s the principle and concerning that somebody might just be having a rather close look at our belongings.

Love this hotel, this was my fourth visit although first since the pandemic. Requested and got our choice of room beside the pool.
Few changes since our last visit. No more children's play area and no kids club. Nothing there to entertain kids just a baby pool for the little ones.
In the rooms they now don't have the mini toiletries they have large pump bottles attached to the wall. Smell delicious to be honest.
New pool bar next to reception with waiter service. The other pool bar is also now a pizza restaurant .
The staff are really friendly and helpful.
Very relaxing, well appointed hotel.

This hotel is in a perfect location overlooking the estuary and the harbor marina, close to the beach, the boardwalk and the main street overlooking the beach. All the many shops, bars, restaurants and hotels on that street are in easy walking distance of the hotel.
The reception is modern and cool. We arrived very early and the room being available would have been an unexpected bonus. As it was, it was uncomplicated to change and then leave our bags in a secure room in a room iadjacent to reception.
Through reception, the hotel gounds contain a large pool, plenty of sun loungers, a nice outside pool bar and grill serving food and drink during the day (the pizzas are highly recommended). Beyond that is an impressive dining room overlooking the estuary with plenty of outside tables. The breakfast buffet is extensive and superb and well worth including in your booking.
Rooms in the main 'complex' are situated along each side of the pool. We had a Marina Beach bedroom which was in a separate building, which I believe is called the Marina Beach wing. Our bedroom was clean, bright and had panoramic views of the marina. The rooms face east and at sunrise our balcony was flooded with light. It is a short walk back to the main complex and on reflection we preferred to be overlooking the Marina.
All staff were helpful and efficient during our stay and we had a lovely time.

We arrived in torrential rain and having been dropped by coach beyond the car park, were absolutely soaked on entering the lobby. The staff couldn’t have been less interested and were neither quick nor welcoming. This was a shame as the rest of the hotel experience was much better.
The location is lovely, some of the rooms are actually in the public marina but all areas have gated access. Great views across the river.
Good choice at breakfast and friendly staff in the restaurant and on the buggies (which will take you around if necessary, we used them for luggage at the beginning and end of our stay).
The rooms are kept clean and we were pleased to find the sofa bed is a trundle, so the kids could sleep separately. The housekeeping team suggested they put one across the room to give the children their own space which worked well.
Our only other niggle was the provision (or lack of it) of drinks in the room. All cold drinks are chargeable. The coffee pods are 2 Euros each (go to the little shop under the fort and get a box, much better value) and there were a few tea bags but no milk. This doesn’t seem to match the standard of the rest of the hotel.
The beach is very close, as are cafes and restaurants. It’s a steep walk up steps to the strip but you can get a Bolt taxi there for around 3.75 Euros if necessary.
We went on the caves/dolphins trip with the 5senses boat and they were careful to seat the person with back issues in the best spot for a smooth ride and very caring when some passengers became seasick during the trip. Saw lots of dolphins!

Travelled recently with my elderly mother. First time to Portugal and hopefully not the last. The welcome from reception was wonderful and we were lucky to be offered an upgrade. All staff we encountered (reception, cleaning team, dining room staff) were warm, friendly and good-humoured.
Rooms are of a good size, there is a Nespresso machine and pods available (at a cost). Beds are large. Bathroom well equipped with complementary toiletries. We had rooms overlooking the marina which was a great view. All spotlessly clean.
Breakfast fantastic with an array of hot and cold dishes, great choice of fruit, cereal, cheeses, hams, breads etc
We dined twice in the evening in the restaurant - iberican pork chop was particularly lovely. Great views from the restaurant.
Easy walk from the hotel to town, beach and boardwalk with restaurants or just to mooch around the marina.
