This is really solely a golf complex with two interesting courses
Food is excellent especially dinner with a wide choice (breakfast okay but less so - no unprepared fruit (that golfers like).
The complex is spread out with more rooms under construction it seems but further away.
Do bring energy bars and water etc as there is no nearby shop and 5€ for a Powerade during and €3.5 for a litre of water is steep.
However, these are a few warnings outweighed by a lovely complex set in beautifully quiet countryside.
Highly recommended.

Very nice and friendly staff, very large and nice rooms. There are two issues, repairs are not executed ( street and lights around the hotel). The wifi in the rooms is horrible, there is a network configuration error that gives timeouts constantly, hope they fix it now that I explained the issues. The buffet was fine, tasty, logistics on breakfast supplies can be improved. Horrible coffee ( the nespresso machine was gone this year). So, not 5 star anymore, time to invest a little.

Pleasant and surprisingly quick round of golf with my nephew. Enjoyed the course but oddly very wet in places. Very receptive greens…you could shoot straight for the pins and the ball stuck. A couple of very nice holes and I’m sure, from the white sticks, the bunkers come more into play. Staff could be a bit more “receptive” to paying customers. Found them a little “frosty”.

We were a mixed party of 12 golfers from Hampshire. Our rooms were around 8207, in the first floor with fabulous views over the pool, driving range/practice area and the fairways. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower was fantastic. The rooms were cleaned every day with new towels too.
The restaurant is small but there were plenty of choices, fish every day plus a variety of meat, veg and poultry dishes. The salads and fruit was cut freshly.
The restaurant and bar staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, bringing drinks over to our tables.
The Caddy Master was in charge of the golf facilities and they were very efficient, bringing balls out to the practice stations. There were electric trolleys to hire too.
A brilliant resort for our first GC trip abroad. Morgado course was tricky, and the Álamos course was challenging. The greens were very fast.
Well done Morgado!

We keep returning to Morgado every year and I cannot think of a better place to have a golfing holiday with friends. Every hole on each of the 3 courses available is different and very well maintained. The buffet breakfasts and evening meals are well presented and very tasty, catering for everyone’s preferences. The rooms are spacious and well provided, clean and welcoming. The staff are brilliant, friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that I have been unable to book next year’s holiday yet, as it is too early!

We were checked in on a room that smelled of cigarette smoke, complained at reception, no solution was given. Eventually, at the 5th night (of a 7 night stay) we were moved to a room that didn’t smell of cigarette smoke (after we complained a few more times), and then out stay became even worse.
The mini fridge was completely dead on the new room. All our drinks were left at room temperature. Going to the beach with almost 40 degrees celcius with room temperature drinks is really not good. We complained, were told a technician would visit the room, and then a very, very young and inexperienced boy appeared on the 6th day just to say he was not trained in fridges. Absolutely ridiculous.
All our remaining nights on new room had a very active upper neighbour that was moving furniture (on a hard floor of tiles) every 30 seconds until 2AM. Needless to say me and my wife couldn’t sleep until the neighbour decided to stop. This was after us requesting a quiet room. It seem almost on purpose they moved us from a building with only ground level to one with two levels, and then put us on the ground level. We also complained 3 times about the noise, that made no difference at all.
The staff just ignores your requests, by saying they are going to do something, and then nothing happens.
Also, hotel is a few years old and is already falling apart. Very poorly maintained. A lot of places are deteriorated.
Pools are very small for the total number of guests. No sunbeds available at 18h00.
Only one toaster and one coffee machine available at breakfast for hundreds of guests, making breakfast a tedious, wait-for-your turn experience.
The only thing good about the hotel is the room sizes and the views. But this is the only thing they can’t ruin (at least easily).

The booking was a terrible experience. From making us pay 7 bedrooms in advance by bank transfer, to getting them to invoice us individual as was agreed upon telephonically. They suggested online checkin but the redid our checkin at reception wasting even more time. Why the online checkin? It does not work, even after selecting a double bed room and we got a twin bed room. They are so disorganized!

Stayed one week after resort reopened following winter break. Very quiet for guests staying but many visiting golfers. We received a room upgrade as it was quiet.
Both courses in excellent condition, greens playing very fast. Alamos was my personal favourite, a course offering greater variation on the holes.
Comfortable rooms, good food in the restaurant and very efficient service. Strangely no milk provided with the tea in the room, a little niggle to correct.
The resort is very isolated but taxis to the local town via Uber or Bolt are reasonable.
All staff very polite and accommodating.

Amazing hotel with an equally amazing staff. The location is great for seeing Portimao city and beaches. The staff, especially the bartender Ruben Silvia, gives great advice on what to see and experience nearby while visiting. Great service and friendly staff.

Amazing place, from the moment we arrived the staff and accommodation were perfect.
Rooms are huge and plenty of space for luggage, golf Clubs etc
Food is excellent, buffet style with plenty of choice and a different menu each day.
Very peaceful and spectacular views, driving range, bunker and short game area plus practice green are all excellent.
This place is very much tailored for Golfers and the courses are perfect, Morgado course is fairly flat & Alamos Hilly, both in very good condition and challenging.
I would suggest the rooms could do with USB chargers to be installed in the sockets, and a clothes hook/Towel rail in the shower.. but these are minor things and take nothing away from the Hotel/Course/Dinning and brilliant members of staff (the Hotel, Dinning and grounds keeper staff all included in that statement!.)
Absolutely loved the place and will 100% return.
