I stayed in this hotel twice in a little over a week. I hadn’t been here for a few years and hadn’t been here anymore since Fletcher took over.
When I went to my room during my first stay my room wasn’t cleaned. I had to go back to reception, because of this and wait in a long queue while I had already checked in. I did get another room and they apologized, but it is a big mistake of course.
A week later I got a room in which the safe didn’t work. This time I also got another room, which was the same room as I stayed in the week before. In the bathroom the cleaners hadn’t emptied the bin and there was still a flickering light in the bathroom, which had been there as well the week before. So there’s definitely room for improvement in the cleaning department.
Rooms are spacious and the beds and pillows are good. The bathroom is nice and there are extra things in the room, like a hairdryer and a safe for example. However, the rooms could do with a make-over, because the carpet and walls are full of stains and the furniture looks old too.
Wi-Fi at the hotel is good.
The breakfast buffet doesn’t offer that much choice, but is okay and tables are cleaned quickly after someone leaves.
Compliments to the staff at reception; everyone was very friendly and helpful.

A good hotel with great beds and at the airport so that is great. What I have a problem with is the price € 16.50 for breakfast. I don't eat most of the stuff, I want an honest cheese sandwich and a cup of coffee so the price is pretty high. Why not a simpler coffee corner with a sandwich for example
€ 7.50?

Dear 160wilmad, Thank you very much for sharing your Wings experience with this. It is great to hear that you have enjoyed your stay with us and that you had a great night sleep on our comfy beds. Thank you for letting us know what your thoughts are regarding our breakfast buffet. We indeed have 1 fee for our breakfast and this is €16,50 per person. In the most of the hotels they have a fixed price and normally is this around €19 - €20 and we try to keep our prices is comforable as possible for our guests. That is a great idea as well regarding a coffee corner and we are currently explorer this option as well. We do hope that we can welcome you in the future at the Wings hotel :) Kind regards Dennis Hut Front Office ShiftLeader Wings hotel Shiftleader@wingshotel.nl

Location is perfect. The view from the room was amazing, right on the tarmac and still there was almost no noise. Super friendly service with a smile and very helpful receptionists.

The room was a bit small for the price. The 2nd bed wasn't made, while we did pay for it. But they came and fixed it immediately when we mentioned it.
The baby bed was a joke, it's just a piece of cardboard that isn't usable at all.

After booking we got an email with offers from the hotel. We agreed in an upgrade to a larger room for a aditional 15 Euro. Never followd up bij the administration/reception. An email request from me to the hotel was also never answered. In the hotelroom there was no watercooker, there was a coffee machine with only one cup and a lightbulb didn't function. The food we ordered for diner was of a very very poor quality. The reception phoned in the evening to our room because they wanted us to pay for the dinner this same evening. They had no idea that I had, given during the booking proces, a creditcard garantee.
We had used hotel Wings in the past many times but since it is a Fletcher hotel the quality dropped to a very low level.
Next time we try an other hotel.

Room had ‘weird’ spots en stains and this for een executive room of 170 EUROS!!!! Which had no extra’s what so ever!! We ordered dinner, was ready in 10 minutes which sounds good but is a bit strange when you pay so much for it. You have to get the food yourself which is no problem but i was always learned that you also pay for the service with your food and there was no service! You get no plates and are supose to eat your 14 euro appetizer out of a carton box with a plastic knife and fork. The dishes were also so small and left us with hunger. There was no sauce with the meat and the fries were put in a closed container so they were all wet and soft. Breakfast also looked very cheap and again no plate and only carton boxes. To conclude we had a terrible anniversary and as a suprise my man got us a late check out which we would have never done if we have known before! We are never coming back and would recommend nobody to go during this pandemic were you get your extremely overprised food in carton boxes!!!!

I stayed 2 nights with my son and they didn’t clean the room on the 2nd day. I mentioned/complained to reception around 6pm and I was told “sorry we can’t clean your room now” and “cleaning is not a service we offer everyday”. There was no apology whatsoever

How did they get 4 stars?

We had booked a bus trip with around 40 people for 3 nights with half board. The hotel was overwhelmed. Room service was overwhelmed, there was always a shortage of towels or soap. Breakfast was OK, but dinner was a disaster. The soup starter consisted of broth with a little flavor, the main course was something with chicken and half-cooked vegetables, only the dessert with ice cream tasted good. Added to this was the huge shortage of staff, which was covered up by very friendly but completely untrained young people. They could only carry two plates each and there was a beer shower every evening. You also have to learn to serve! The only friendly staff work at reception.

Thursday night in the restaurant happened. Well actually it didnt. The service was terrible the waiter spent lots of time talking to staff and one table of customers,we even had to fetch the menus as he was to busy talking at the bar. The main course eventually turned up and We ordered deserts which was a mistake, after 45 minutes of waiting and then having to call a member of staff over to eventually be told they did not have one if the items was pretty poor.
It’s a shame because most of the staff were pretty helpful but the Restaurant was a shambles. No apologies and won’t stay again.

Thank you for your time and review of our restaurant. First I would like to apologize again for what happened during your time at our restaurant. It’s obvious that what happened is not to our standard in our highly recommended a la carte restaurant. I have discussed this matter internally with the regarding supervisor and waiter. Team Wings will put all effort in this matter that a situation like this will never happen in our restaurant again. Once more I would like to thank you for your time and care in writing this review. We hope to welcome you back at Wings Hotel as a satisfied guest and give us a opportunity to show our respected standards in our restaurant. Kind regards,

This was my fourth stay at this hotel. I find it convenient to stay overnight before I fly back to France after visiting my family in The Hague. I have always written glowing reviews about the hotel in the past but this time I was sorely disappointed. The room was jaded and in need of refurbishment. There was a bleach stain on the carpet near the door; the room was hot and stuffy as the air conditioning did not seem to be working very well; when I adjusted the magnifying mirror in the bathroom my hand recoiled as I could feel something on the back, upon closer inspection I found that it was rusty; when I showered I discovered that the shower gel was completely empty and had to walk out of the shower to the sink and dispense gel from there, twice, as the gel is locked on the wall; the bed was very uncomfortable, there was a topper mattress on it which kept sliding off. To go back to the hot and stuffy conditions in the room - I opened the window but had to close it again after a short time as there was noise coming from the airport (helicopters I think), understandable I suppose, but there was also a lot of noise coming from somewhere that sounded as though a party was going on! Much cheering, shouting, etc. So, I had to close the windows. I know I could have asked for another room but as I arrived late and got immediately ready for bed I did not want to have to get dressed again and change rooms. As, I have said, I have had nothing but praise for the hotel in the past. On an up note, the staff cannot be faulted!

I had to stay at this hotel through work in quarantine so I had to stay in my room. Obviously I didn’t see much of hotel but what I can say is the staff were excellent. Everything I needed I just rang reception and they couldn’t be more helpful. The food is also very good here. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others based on what I experienced.

Hi Graham, yes there are facilities in the room. I stayed 2 weeks ago and I agree with RajGill1 from KL that the breakfast buffet is a must do....and not too expensive for what you can have....there will even be a cook who will make your scrambled eggs or omelette. Enjoy your stay and don't forget to visit the Markthal in Rotterdam.

Goodday Alina, Thank you for your reservation in our hotel. We are looking forward to welcoming you! There are a lot of options in Rotterdam to have a nice dinner and do some sightseeing. For example the cube-houses at Blaak, but also the Erasmus-bridge and the Blijdorp Zoo. For restaurants I would suggest our own at Worldhotel Wings, for the fantastic new menu; or, if you want to go into town, I would recommend restaurant Napoli at the Meent in the citycenter. From our hotel there's a bus (no. 33) that goes directly to the central station, it departs every fifteen minutes and takes about 20 minutes. There's a fast track train (Intercity Direct) that departs every half hour from Rotterdam to Amsterdam and back, which only takes 26 minutes. You have to pay a supplement of €2,30 for this train before you get on, or buy the supplement on the train for €10. I hope to have informed you well. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. With kind regards, Front Office Worldhotel Wings
