This hotel is less than 10 minute's walk from Rotterdam's Central station. The Stadhuis metro station is under a minute away, just around the corner. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within a few minute's walk. The staff are friendly and helpful. Some street noise can be heard in rooms facing the main road (Weena). You might hear a siren or a motorcycle at night. The beds are firm but not uncomfortable. You need to step high to get in and out of the bath/shower, and the opening is narrow, so anyone with mobility or balance issues should be careful. The breakfast buffet has options for everyone. The coffee mugs are tiny but they will bring an insulated carafe of coffee on request.

Hotel's Favourite
We have book two rooms (one regular room, one King Executive Suite) and got both almost next to each other on the 4th floor (410 the regular room and 401 the suite). Both rooms were absolutely clean and well equipped (I especially loved the working are in the living room of the suite as well as the comfortable sofa; the layout of the suite is excellent), everything as promised. Excellent breakfast, very fair priced in-room-dining (with surprisingly big portions!). The WiFi worked well, the Executive Lounge is a convient place to have a snack/drink (and the lady working there is friendly beyond comparison, caring for the guests as if they are family members) and the Hilton app very useful (e.g. for checking in). The location of the hotel is excellent (from the Suite we could directly see the nearby city hall, a tramstation is less than 1 minute away and there is a car park house available - when you exit the hotel, you're just a few footsteps away from a beautiful and broad main street with shopping malls etc.). But the one thing that really made this an experience was the absolutely superb staff - information / check-in / check-out, executive lounge, breakfast and housekeeping - everybody has been warmhearted, friendly, humorous and talkative. I haven't experienced such universal and genuine friendliness in years ... in general the people in Rotterdam are very open, welcoming and friendly (people starting to talk to you in the tram or when waiting somewhere etc.). The city itself is modern and fabulous with beautiful architecture and we'll come again for sure!

The Hilton Rotterdam has gone from being one of the best hotels in Rotterdam to one of the worst. Luckily I have HHonors membership and could check in and out on my phone but the queues at reception are not what you would expect of this class of hotel. For the price of this hotel you would expect that you could get in the lift and head to your room at any time without issues. Unfortunately not at this hotel as the room keys work at most just the one time and it results in guests heading up and down in the lift unable to get to their floor or into their rooms if lucky enough to reach it. It is like a comedy sketch if it wasn't so annoying. Nespresso coffee machines supplied on executive floor. Nice touch except they only supply one capsule for each guest and rarely top up when cleaning the room. This did happen once but they supplied decaf to our horror! Hotel bar closes 30 mins before the published closing time every night when they rudely turn away hotel guests. No management on site. Hotel rooms are spacious, clean and the beds very comfortable. Bathroom is small but shower is great. Hairdryers, Laptop friendly safe and Wifi all good. However, with these major issues there is too much competition to consider paying these over inflated prices for what is just a 3 star type hotel with bad service.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. We are Diamond Hilton Honors members and the lounge atmosphere did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and always ready to offer assistance. Our room was very clean, modern and well appointed. We would definitely return to this hotel when in Rotterdam.

The Hilton is obviously a big established chain but this place is charging high prices and skimping on the details Over 200 Euro per night,, the rooms are modern and beds comfy enough. Anything complimentary you normally get in a hotel room is missing. No soaps, gels, no food, not even a free bottle of water. You can’t even purchase anything as mini bar is empty I don’t mind all of this of course if you’re in a budget hotel but this most certainly isn’t Good central location but I’m sure there are better value for money options elsewhere. Oh and that big price didn’t even include breakfast 😂

Our bathroom amenities have been changed from mini items to larger bottles which is better for the environment and plastic waste. Our complimentary water is provided in the rooms situated on the 9th and 10th floor and for all other guests with Silver status and up this will be shared at check-in as per brand Standard. We have changed our mini bar into a mini fridge to be at the disposal of our guests. Of course it is also possible to purchase drinks and snacks at the Front Desk. This hotel is extremely tired, smells bad because it is not clean, and they pipe in very strong perfume in the halls, common areas. Things like hotel carpet and furniture need to be replaced periodically. Bathroom trash has no liner—gross. Elevator has a “security system” that requires a key insert, but it works about 40% of the time, so you start riding because someone has called the elevator to their floor. Annoying and time-consuming. Stayed because of conference subsidy—would not choose to stay here again.

In my world the Hilton conjured up images of a grandiose establishment but reality sometimes bites. Our stay was not a bad experience , however I felt that the room and lobby although clean was dated, back to the seven tee's. The huge loose carpet in the lobby looked grubby. The room was supposed to be serviced daily , but we had to ask for things to be cleaned. No complimentary water, no expresso machine in the room just a kettle. waiting in a que to ask for help. From the moment you walk in to the lobby, the décor is dated, cold and unwelcoming, much like the weather at the time, the staff did warm things up a bit, friendly and helpful, the lifts were old and temperamental, only complimentary filter coffee on offer in the lobby although there where basic pastries on offer, a good cup chino with the pastry would have gone a long way, guests love complimentary stuff. The location was good a few blocks away from Central Station, with tram stops across from the hotel . We prefer a more personal feel and the previous hotel we stayed in, delivered that and offered more and cost less. I think more suited to a corporate clientele.

I have to give a 1-star review. It was truly awful. My main complaint is that they pipe industrial grade chemical fragrance everywhere throughout the hotel: the lobby, the elevator banks, and it seeps into the rooms and through the recirculated air. I gagged the entire time I was there and it made me sick. It was worst at the elevator baks and hallways. I'd never ever go back. The restaurant was too small for the amount of guests and there was a line through the lobby on a Sunday morning - they couldn't accommodate everyone and some people ended up eating their buffet wherever they could find a seat. It was total chaos on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The hotel is old and looks and feels it. It needs a total rehab - and it's not inexpensive - it was pricy.

A good business hotel with very accesible location, efficient and provide a great breakfast. Rooms are excellent with very good internet access. The markets, restaurants, shopping and sightseeing are easily reachable by foot too.
