Had a very good Easter Brunch here with my family and was pleasantly surprised by the food - which was very good! Special mention to the doormen, friendly 'Rotterdam geezers' who were absolutely wonderful in helping by providing a wheelchair for grand pa and just being all-round nice guys.

Unusual stay - but very nice. Super cabin but would have preferred with window. Bed very clean and comfortable. Parking right next door. Not near anything to do though. Hot breakfast was cold and not nice at all. Lido grill was very good. Would recommend a night on here

This hotel is a former cruise ship, converted to hotel. Most of the interior is kept untouched, which gives the hotel a uncommon but bery nice look. In the middle of the port of Rotterdam, with a good restaurant and nice breakfast. Nice experience.

Really excited to stay here but fell short of out expectations. Arrive and was greeted by a friendly guy and sent to a desk where the receptionist promptly pick up the phone , she continued with her conversation for a while and we stood and watch not one word of I will not be a moment. So after a while she spoke over our heads and told this friendly man to put us back in the queue. Very unprofessional. But we were given another receptionist and the man apologised , for keeping us waiting , Anita or Annette I think and she could not do enough for us . Spoke in Dutch and English arranged a taxi for our evening out. What a difference Got to our room and this was fine too . We wanted more than the coffee machine in the room , our experience of these machines are awful and that proved the point again, Yuk. Captains Lounge was busy found some seats and waited , not enough staff on , no acknowledgement eventually we put our hands up and we ordered. Cappuccino but what we got was pure foam and hardly any coffee in a small cup and at 3.75 euro this was not good enough. We asked if we could pay by one of the waiters , told see my colleague, we asked were , how it’s our first time here . Pointed over there . Not good enough. Onwards to the Lido Grill for a meal. Absolutely awful. Firstly we were placed under a ventilator and as I suffer with the cold , I asked I’d we could be moved. No sympathy at all no we are busy. . Mine is a illness and so I sat cold for a meal. Finally the meal. It was horrible it was cold. Plate cold cold and overcooked fish. The table next door also spoke about the meal being cold. Yuk Breakfast was an excellent selection of hot and cold but the English Breakfasts was yet again cold. I placed my hand under the lamps to see what heat was given out and they where not heating food at all. We felt very disappointed , really chose somewhere else which is a pity because it has the makings of a great attraction, but major improvements in service and food.

Stayed for 1 night for on a business trip. Very attractive ship/hotel. Don’t worry the ship doesn’t move. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. It is a bit far from everything as location but i would still recommend it

This is a beautiful ship to be onboard. Try to pick a room with outside view some rooms are naturally without any windows (you are onboard a cruise ship, remember...) But they are quite ok. Thanking Lieve and Kilian for instantly solving a room problem. They said they would check my problem an revert in 15 minutes. Indeed they did and they solved. Also had a very nice dinner onboard with friends in Rotterdam...

I read the trip advisor reviews after I had booked. Don’t let them put you off. This is an amazing ship and it’s a real privilege to be able to sleep aboard this beautiful piece of history. What made it for me was two things, firstly the staff, absolutely amazing and fully committed to customer service. The next was obviously the ship which is just beautiful. As with all old things parts of it look a little worn but thanks to the team that maintain and clean it, it’s lovely. We did not eat or drink as we found it a little expensive, especially 20 euros for breakfast but we absolutely loved the night that we had. The bed was really comfortable and the pillows were so soft! Great nights sleep. Also great views of Rotterdam at night.

Good: - overall atmosphere - willingness, competence and friendlyness of core staff - small details like the selection of books in the room add to the experience - special mention for the manager of the Ocean Bar. Don’t loose him! ;) Bad: - hard mattresses for no reason - it’s immediately clear when someone is not core staff - they have to choose between a high end finish (which suits the character of the ship a lot better) and thus avoid cheap (plastic standing lamp and pop music at the Captains Lounge, for example) or lower prices.

Booked and paid for a vaccinated cruise. They changed it to an unvaccinated cruise without telling me. So very disappointed..I had to cancel. So unethical. Will never cruise with them again and I was a 4 star mariner..

Old fashioned, weak wifi signal, cabins/room not at the expected standards of our times... these are only few critical comments. It rather centrally located, with water taxi access and parking. Definitely not 'affordable' - in my view, no real value for the money paid.
