Our airlines changed our schedule so we arrived at Bruno at 9 a.m. instead of the original plan of 5:30 p.m. I contacted the hotel 3 weeks earlier about this change and was told that I would be charged an hourly rate ahead of the normal 2 p.m. check in time. I was good with that. When we arrived at 9 a.m. we were told check in was at 2 and I told them what I was told about early check-in and they said the cleaners didn't start until 10 a.m. So we checked back at 11 and were told the people in our room didn't want to leave until 1 p.m. We checked back at 12:30 and were told the room was empty and that they would expedite the cleaning. Checked back at 1 and told it would not be ready until 2. Checked back at 2. Not ready. Checked backed at 2:20. Not ready. Checked back at 2:40. Not ready. Finally at 3:00 we got the room even though we were promised no later than 2. Had they told me 3 weeks earlier this would be a possibility I would have made other arrangements. I did not expect to wait 6 hours after traveling for 24 hours to get there. Then once in the room we tried to sleep, but the temp rose to 81 f waking us up. We could not get the air to work. So they sent a tech up who pretended to do something and declared it working. It did not. Fortunately it was starting to cool off outside and we were able to cool the room off and get some sleep. Very disappointed with this expensive little boutique hotel. There was no sense of urgency on the part of the staff at all. The only good thing about this place is that it is right next to the cruise terminal. I am usually very patient and try to understand, but their uncaring attitude was too much

Hotel's Favourite
Certainly one of the best hotel experience ever , worldwide , not only in Netherlands or just Europe. Smart , industrial cozy minimal interior design in the whole areas of the hotel , fantastic location, opposite the Rotterdam Cruise Ship Terminal & next to the Erasmus Bridge. Nice breakfast, lovely polite staff . Highly recommend, very affordable prices.

The hotel is a 25 minute walk from Central Station, nice walk passing canals and over the erasamus bridge. The hotel has a nice seating area and you receive a warm welcome at reception, unfortunately we had to decline the first 2 rooms offered, the first one had a lot of stains on carpet and table, the second one had an internal window looking straight into the bar, the 3rd was very nice, the staff didn't make this awkward as apologetic and helpful, we were given a drinks voucher for the bar. The breakfast is very good value at 19.99 if booked at reception and is available up to 12 midday. Just outside the door and passed some shops all internal is a large street food and bar area ideal if you all like different things from Japanese to Vietnamese and burgers. A nice hotel but maybe just the wrong side of the erasamus bridge, had to use a lot of users at around 14 euros each trip into town.

I will only recommend for business... pretty depressing hotel, especially with a painted black bathroom, and poor lighting. No water boiler for tea, No more shampoo and soap in the attached bottles on wall. I've put them out for the cleaner to fill them up but did not happen. This means the bathroom hasn't been cleaned.

Wow! What a place! The frontage to the building gives a great old world shipping feel. Plus, the connection to the Food Hall right next door too, it makes this an ideal place to stay. Check-in process was a breeze, with the staff being polite and knowledgeable. The facilities for the hotel are great, with the Patio Bar, gym and 24hr sauna and breakfast I think is fantastic. My son loved the fact that there was a pancake making machine... I was made aware during check-in that I was eligible for an up-grade, but the hotel was already full, so I had to stay put in my original room allocation. The room itself was amazing. Clean and well turned out, modern and to quote my wife when I sent a picture "very funky", and was huge. I estimated that the room was actually bigger than my home. The bed itself was befitting of the room too, large and extremely comfy. You can tell that the designers have really thought about how to make people relax while they are away. The capsule coffee machine was a welcome addition, as was the balcony that overlooked Wilhelminakade. I was able to have a nice drink watching the sun set over the river and city. This was a fabulous way to wind down from a busy day. The minibar was well stocked and there was a good selection of snacks for a late night nibble, if needed. I didn't take advantage of the room service. They operate an honesty policy for the minibar in the room and another in the reception area too. Overall:- I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and the fact I didn't have to go searching for my supper and that I got two very comfortable and peaceful nights of sleep. Looking forward to being able to stay here again.

Great modern hotel experience with spacious rooms. The team made a great effort to help us with a birthday surprise. Thanks again. New York feeling in the area and in the building. Awesome beds with great linen. Open bathroom concept. Breakfast was ok.

Modern hotel with amazing facilities. Common spaces offer heaps of lovely spots to rest. They offer free coffee for all guests (a couple of coffee machines dotted around the place plus a pod machine in your room), access to a gym and sauna plus complementary water/iced tea and pastries in reception. Beds were very comfortable and the blinds were completely black out. We had the best sleep during our stay! Bathroom offered shampoo, conditioner, soap and a great hairdryer. 5 minute walk to closest station which will get you to Rotterdam Centraal in under 10 minutes. Breakfast was quite pricey at around €25 per head. Other than that, can’t fault it!
