Great little hotel. Not far off the highway so good for travellers. Rooms are quite small but the meal I had there was fantastic. There were two staff members having some sort of argument in the restaurant but the guy behind the bar moved them out after a bit. Great sized meals. Car park right outsider the door is also a bonus. Overall a great little place to stay.

It's 30°+ Impossible to sleep. There is NO air conditioning. This hotel should not be operating. Shocking that in 2020 a hotel sti ll has not provided an air conditioning system especially in time of COVID. My advice is to avoid sleeping in rooms without air circulation. Very very bad.

We stayed here for a day off from hiking the Haute Route. Not the best location to stay at if you want to see the Tourbillon, etc. - it's a long walk from the historic part of town. The staff were very helpful with assisting us to book taxis, restaurants, etc. Rooms were clean but basic. One thing that annoyed me was that we had booked a room for three people but were only given two sets of towels - if you are going to charge me for a triple, then you should give me the amenities of a triple room. The fold-out bed for the third person was very uncomfortable to sleep on.

We take this opportunity to inform you that we have already renovated our rooms with air conditioning and our IBIS in Valais will be soon totally new! If you are missing something in the room do not hesitate to make the request at the reception which is open 24H24. Our restaurant has recently received more the label "homemade" :)! The bikes have arrived at IBIS SION ... visit the city for free from the hotel or enjoy the bike path that will allow you to travel the Rhone and discover the vineyards of Valais ... Whilst searching for a normal hotel in Sion, there not many, that are not ski focussed. Ibis is one of them, and it's not a great place. Upon arrival the receptionist speaks a few words english, and there is no mini-bar or roomservice. You can get things from the bar below, but there is not much choice. Being on the rim of Sion there is not a lot to do in the direct surrounding of the hotel. If you need to be at the hospital, it's close by, and very convenient. I have slept good, the room was spacious enough. I was there in summer so it was hot, and the rooms cooled down to max 23C, even with the airco on 19C. For a 1 nighter it's a nice place, however the rooms are not cheap. breakfast is enough, not luxuries.

No tea/coffee facilities in the room. This seems to be common in Switzerland - not good. room was very small. Had to pay 46CHF for car park, taxes and breakfast. Given the hotel is well off the beaten track I don't think parking should be charged for. If cheap is what you are looking for then this will probably do you. Breakfast was pretty minimal with nothing hot on offer.

Concerning no coffee or tea in the room, we are a two stars hotel and it is not planned in our category. Car park is only 8 chf per night and you find this information on our website and on the door in the entrance. Breakfast offers coffee, tea, hot chocolate, hot milk, coffee with milk and at will...are you sure you took the breakfast at Ibis Sion? The hotel is not far from the motorway exit in a residential area. to the old city you need a car. I have not checked the public transportation and can not comment. Some of the rooms were under renovation, but the works did not harm, as we arrived on a Saturday and did leave very early Sunday morning. Our room has gone already through renovation. The room was small, bathroom as well, but you have to be aware that you are not staying in a 5 ***** hotel. All was functional and fine. I Defintely would go back if staying again in the area

To my surpise, the parking will be charged now extra. In the past 10 years of staying there, it was free of charge. The Menu card has again been reduced. But the meal I had was freshly prepared, hot and tasty. The hotel has now a few years on its shoulder. Sooner or later it needs a fresh-up. Not only the new room door keymsystems, which did not work that evening.

I went to Sion for a professional reason and stayed there couple of weeks. The hotel is little bit old style but the renovation is in progress. It’s basically the only negative point I could write down. Beside that, the staff is so friendly, professional and kind. It’s the main reason why I am looking forward for my next stay there. The room service is perfect as well.

My husband and I stayed here with another couple in early September 2018. Unfortunately our luggage didn't arrive when it should have and we had to stay two extra nights to wait for it, cancelling plans to go to Italy. Most of the bags arrived a day later but mine didn't. We ended up having to continue on our trip and the hotel kindly said they would mail the missing luggage to Canada for us. Lucky for me, it arrived before we came home so I took the train back to Sion to pick it up and asked the hotel to put it in a cab for me since I only had 30 min between trains. A very kind young man at the hotel brought the bag to the train station - he was waiting for me with my luggage. Honestly, could have kissed him! He went above and beyond what was expected and made this very stressful situation much easier to deal with. We found all of the staff very good, the hotel is somewhat basic but it's clean and comfortable. We had breakfast and several dinners in the hotel restaurant and thought the food was very good. A very nice surprise!

This Ibis hotel has very simple, modest and decent rooms, yet due to certain conditions we had to check out. However, service was very professional and quick and our complaint was handled well by the receptionist Marcia. We are greatful for her understanding and know that staying at Ibis would have been a hospitable and memorable two-night stay. Also, thank you Marcia for having planned a birthday surprise for me, I appreciate it a lot.
