Nice, clean and functional hotel, although would need a good refreshment ... Very conveniently situated in the heart of the city with everything available at short walking distance. Very convenient underground parking with direct lift access to hotel. Quiet rooms and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Have used the hotel several times per year for the last years and always same quality and welcome.

We stayed at the Hotel du Rhone for several nights, in the triple room which was a very decent sized room and a welcome change from most of our recent hotel rooms. This is a more traditional hotel room with a large attached bathroom, complete with bathtub (+Shower) and a bidet alongside the toilet. We had a room with a good view out to the Rhone valley, and the Chateau de Valere up on the hill - which was lit up at night. There wasn't any air conditioning but for some reason the hotel room remained relatively cool, although we had to open the window to let the cooler air in - at night, this meant that we could hear noise from the street, and in the early morning, the road construction crew sometimes woke us up with their machinery. Obviously this is only a temporary issue but visitors should bear this in mind in the hotter summer months. The beds were comfortable and everything was provided for, there is also a restaurant attached to this hotel although we did not try it. An easy and excellent breakfast can be had only a short stroll away at one of many cafes in Sion's old town. Very well located, right at the edge of the old town, and only about a 15 min walk to the train station. WiFi was decent, and there was also a sizeable safe provided for valuables and laptops. They also provided a kettle and some tea making equipment (as well as a variety of teabags). Definitely ticked most of our boxes!

We reserved a triple room to have some space and weren’t disappointed. A couple of issues were resolved quickly. Importantly the beds were comfortable and breakfast plentiful. Possibly the best cappuccino in Sion!. If you have a big car, we found the entrance to the underground car park daunting. However there is a much bigger car park literally the either side of the road. Really well placed for visiting Sion, and has one of the few restaurants open on a Sunday evening. We’ll stay again when we return

A first rate place. Friendly staff on reception who obligingly jumped to perfect English. Fresh and spotless rooms with a mountains view. The breakfast is outstanding with breads and pastries, sliced meats and cheeses, boiled eggs, fruits, great coffee. It's about 10 mins walk from the station. There is a nearby cafe on the corner that I thought looked a bit fast foody at first, but we ate a delicious omelette and salad there.

Just came back from two nights at this lovely hotel. Located in the old town, it's the perfect hotel to stay at when exploring the area. We were more than happy with the rooms and the large variety of choices for breakfast made our stay even more special. The breads, the cakes, the muslis, the eggs, the fresh fruit, the yoghurts, the salmon and so much more than exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this lovely place and find the price worth the service, room and breakfast you get.

The staff was friendly and accommodated us to feel most comfortable. We booked 2 double rooms and they pre-arranged that they would have a door in between - great for a family with big kids. Great location at the foot of Valere, with nice view from the room. Clean and comfortable. Our small dog was also welcomed. Really good value for money.

1. 30 minutes to find my booking (which was easy: my name, booking.com) 2. sneeze into his hands before returning my bank card (covid time!) 3. previous person forgot his charger in my room: they give him the key without telling him there's someone else -> enters without enve knocking 4. key doesn't work, 5 minutes wasted at reception (this can happen, but that's too much)

Our room was a nice size with a couch, chair and desk. There is also a mini fridge. The room was spotless. There is a grocery store and pharmacy next door and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel restaurant is also very good. It is only a few blocks walk to the train station. I would definitely recommend staying here on a visit to Sion.

This hotel provided a beautiful view of the castle and was just on the edge of the old city. So the location was great. Public transportation was available, but the wait times could be long. The walk from the train station was a good trek and up a hill. I would only recommend the walk for the fit with suitcases. The hotel needs a refresh but it was clean and comfortable and I can not say enough about the view. The size of the room was nice. I did not eat food at the hotel since there were many good restaurant a short distance in the old town. One restaurant had cheese made by the owner's brother in the Zermatt area. It was the best cheese I ever tasted. I would give them five stars on that alone. The price, location and view would make me want to stay here again.
