The room itself was simple but clean with a modern bathroom. My room had an air conditioning unit but no instructions, no controller or remote control so could not use. Maybe it’s centrally controlled. 5 min walk to the tower and restaurants and shops. All in all the hotel would have been fine except for the traffic noise. Unless you are in room ending in 18, 19 or 20 you will be facing the road and the windows offer NO insulation to the traffic noise. Do not expect to sleep outside of midnight to 7 am as the noise is just horrendous.

We arrived to find the front door locked. We rang the bell several times to no avail, so rang the phone number on the door. The woman who answered didn’t seem to be expecting us, but eventually found our reservation. She WhatsApped us the key code for the door (next door) and gave us our room number asking us to WhatsApp our passports so she could check us in. The hotel is very convenient for the Leaning Tower and the town in general. The room was clean and comfortable with a map supplied, a fan but no air con. We were only there for one night, room only, reception was closed the whole time but that was no problem as we could come and go as we pleased.

A few days before coming to Pisa, I read the comments of this hotel and I thought “Oh..Did I make the right choice?”. ....and I have to make my own opinion here.. “We made the RIGHT choice!” We stayed for 2 nights: 2 adults, 2 young children The guy who sat behind the receptiont was a very efficient guy. He did our check in fast and showed the parking of 15euro/day.. it was just next to the hotel! Super handy. Our room was super! It was big for 4 people and had 2 beds (1 king size and 1 queen size!) So the boys slept in 1 bed and we (parents) slept in 1 bed! Room number 111. Super!! The room was super clean with good aircon and had balcony! The location is just 5 minutes walk to the pisa tower and close by everything you need! We love this hotel and we recommend this hotel! Off course the front desk guys don’t speak fluent english but they speak what they need to be done “documents, payment, passport, parking, check in, check out, etc”. So please don’t expect chit chat.. but they will help you in any possible way when you ask something. They smile also. :) Overal: We enjoyed our stay!

When we arrived we were faced with a dark haired gentleman who seemed to be having a rather heated conversation on the telephone. He ignored us until he had finished his conversation. i then explained in Italian we had booked a room for two nights. He barked back various words/questions which neither us understood. I showed him the booking and he lapsed into silence for a short while before telling us to sit in a quiet cool area. He then handed back our passports and handed us our key. Well the room was functional. Not sure what the point of the terrible plastic flowers were. The bed was no a proper bed but two 'put me up beds' pushed together. I booked this place because it was close to the Piazza di Miracoli. Wished I hadn't. No air con, it was either broken or disconnected. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The only way to keep the room cool was to open the doors and close the shutters. Which meant it was cool but really noisy. There were not even basic tea and coffee making facilities. The sheets were not changed or the towels during our stay. The bed cover had a nasty looking stain. The whole time we were there only two people were even approachable. We did not want anything fancy for a couple of days, but we would have been better going for somewhere a bit more upmarket. Could not wait to get out of the place. It was generally tidy but very noisy as well. The traffic noises etc from outside and the noises of other guests moving around made it virtually impossible to sleep. Glad to leave. Never again.

+ At the arrival at the hotel we met a very polite and smiley staff. There was a vending machine with water , juice and some snacks. The bed sheet and towels was like new. The location was perfect , all the great monuments of the city , the cafes and the restaurants was near. - Their english was a little rusty but we manage to communicate very well. The building was old ( like every building in pisa ) but they maintain it really good. The alley of the hotel is a little scary at night but if you walk ( 2 minutes) to the main street you will feel safe again with the police patroling arround and the youth people taking their walk.

This hotel is situated in the center of Pisa, comfortable and good location. You can go for a walk to tower and to the airport too. We can recomend to visit this hotel if you can spend in Pisa very short time.

Clean room with a good ensuite bathroom. The hotel is 5 minute walk to the tower and around 10 minutes to bars & restaurants. The staff did not speak much English but as my friend speaks Italian this was not a problem. For the price you pay it is good value for money.

Unfortunately this is the first time you feel the need to write such a negative review about a hotel that I have been not only and primarily for approaches but mainly for the rudeness of the owners' - officials ....not any knowledge of English but not also any effort servicing and not any interesting for their clients to try to communicate Rudeness and bad tune voice bad STYLE officials the building very old but very clean ... i suppose your emotions in a hotel is one of the most important they made us feel undesirable although we had paid to stay of course :)

All the basics you need, clean bathrooms and nice staff. If you want luxury this isn't it but it's absolutely perfect otherwise. Location is also fantastic. Walked from airport easily and a stone's throw from the tower and drinking spots.
