Absolutely lovely,
Perfect location hosted by a family unit and to great standards. Rooms were spotlessly cleaned daily breakfast was simple but always fresh the coffee was the best of the break.
Would definitely return and even converted us from brand hotels.

We stayed in this hotel for one night during our stay in Pisa.

Angela was very welcoming and friendly. In fact, all the staff were lovely!

Most importantly, we had a great nights sleep here. The beds were large and comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. The bathroom was spacious and the shutters blacked out the entire room so we had a dark room for better rest.

Would recommend staying here. It is close to the main attractions and easy to get around!

Super welcoming staff. Even though we landed late at the Pisa airport, the staff was very warm and welcoming. The room was quite large and super clean. The hotel is less than 5mn away from the train station, perfect for a stop-over before travelling to Florence/ Tuscany and 15mn away from city center.

Stayed here for 1 night before our flight home. Pisa is a strange city, possibly one that is used for the single tourist attraction and the fact it is close to Tuscany’s airport. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the train station where you can catch the airport shuttle tram direct.

The hotel is set on a number of floors and very traditional in both its policies and the decor (having to leave your room key before you go out so they know who is in or out feels very 1990’s!). Having said that, the room was very large (suite) and was peaceful with good air conditioning.

Furniture was very traditional as was the layout and it also had mechanical shutters on the windows to complete the locked in feel. Staff were efficient in their service.

Unfortunately, my stay at Hotel Alessandro Della Spina fell short of expectations. While the location and exterior of the hotel seemed promising, the reality inside was quite different.

Upon entering the room, I was immediately struck by the overwhelming presence of black mold. Dark patches covered the walls and ceilings in both the bedroom and bathroom, making it challenging to relax and enjoy my stay.

In addition to the black mold issue, cleanliness was a concern. Dust and grime were visible throughout the space, indicating a lack of thorough housekeeping. This, combined with the mold problem, created an unpleasant and unsanitary environment.

Furthermore, the hotel's amenities did not meet expectations. The wifi was unreliable, frequently dropping out, and the air conditioning was ineffective, leaving the room uncomfortably hot. Opening the window for relief only led to increased noise from the hotel's car park.

Overall, my experience at Hotel Alessandro Della Spina was deeply disappointing. Despite its attractive exterior and convenient location, the presence of black mold and subpar cleanliness standards overshadowed any potential positives. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel until these issues are properly addressed.

Our holiday company booked this at relatively short notice (6 weeks) when British Airways changed our flight so we no longer had time to get to our original destination that evening. Due to flight delays we didn't arrive till 11pm and the man on reception seemed more bothered by the fact that the front door had broken. This meant that anyone who went out late couldn't get back in which wasn't a good start.
Our room on the ground floor was very dim and looked out on to a yard where a car was parked. The air con was noisy.
However on the plus side breakfast was one of the best we had in our stay in Italy and could be eaten outside in a small courtyard.

This is a decent hotel in an ideal location. It was a perfect base for us to explore Pisa for the day and then catch the flight back to London from Pisa airport . It’s approximately a 5 min walk from the train stations which offers great connectivity. The hotel itself was clean, quiet with friendly staff .

Booked this hotel for a 2 night stay away with my partner and unfortunately our flight was cancelled within 48 hours of arrival. We messaged the hotel directly explaining the situation and asked for the dates to be rescheduled within the following week (dates were available to book) but They declined this as they refused to move the booking “for free” and wanted me to cancel the booking so they got a cancellation fee. We wanted to stay at this hotel and said that they would receive the full payment for both days if they were moved and we would not re book if we had to cancel. Unfortunately, they were extremely unhelpful and flexible meaning we lost a substantial amount of money for our flight being cancelled. Be aware when booking this hotel.

My daughter had a ballet workshop in Livorno so we decided to stay in this hotel in Pisa to make a little long weekend holiday. Near to the train station it was easy take the train to Livorno and back.
A lovely little hotel within walking distance to Via Corsa the main high street in Pisa. We walked everywhere from this hotel even to the leaning tower, it is conveniently located. To walk in to the main street take the road that goes pass the 'scuola superiore' it is nicer with some lovely shops on the way.
Only 5 minutes drive from the airport.
We were greeted by a friendly receptionist, a small hotel with a big heart.
Our room was very spacious, plenty of room and nice and warm. My kids stole the double bed and left me in the corner with the single bed but I have to say both beds were comfortable. The bathroom was big and had everything we needed for our stay.
Rooms were cleaned everyday.
The lady and gentleman running the hotel were welcoming and friendly, we didn't ask for much, only hot water for me for my tea.
Breakfast was ok, not the best I have had during my travels but you'll probably find something you can eat. I would have liked to have seen oats, more cake selection, ricotta and fresh fruit. They had prunes, peaches in syrup and some kiwi which was hard, honestly they would have done better with a fruit bowl filled apples, pears and bananas.
Definitely book this hotel if you are looking for somewhere near to all the attractions in Pisa, it is a nice stay.

We stayed here for two nights. The room was clean and spacious. Quite Spartan in furnishing but we had everything we needed. Breakfast was very pleasant with fresh fruit, ham and cheese and fresh pastries.

We found everyone very pleasant and friendly and the hotel was well placed for exploring Pisa.

you can unload your luggage in a space outside the hotel for a short period.. There is a little parking around the back of the hotel but you need to make an arrangement with the hotel to book it.
