Very close to Pisa Leaning Tower/Duomo. 5+ minutes walk from back gate to square. Excellent service; had room at top floor but with no elevator, we asked for a 1st floor room which thankfully was available. Comfortable room with modern upgrades. Quiet, safe neighborhood. We would stay here again.
We received a warm welcome from Aldo on reception when we arrived, our room was on the top floor of the property (a bit of a struggle as there is no lift but we our cases were taken up for us!) the room was comfortable and very clean and had the best air conditioning that we experienced throughout our whole time in Italy! Breakfast was cute, served outside on the terrace, it wasn't a self service buffet which we would have preferred but it was perfectly lovely! The hotel is in a great location - you can easily walk to the main attraction! Would definitely recommend this hotel! Thanks for a great stay in Pisa! Amanda & Ian x
A warm welcome on arrival, hotel looks good and location is also great. We were informed that we had to choose from the breakfast menu and have it inside the room or in the breakfast area but no buffet, just a tray service. Salami / ham platter for €6 euros was a joke. all the rest was ok standard continental selection. rooms ok, a bit dated. good toiletries and thats what makes this hotel 4 star, otherwise it would be a very solid 3* hotel. the can serve you any drinks 24/7 from their small bar. a glass of Chianti is €6 which is ok. Beds not very comfortable at all, rooms sound insulation is very very poor. ok for a night. thanks to the location probably would stay there again.
Charming small hotel and staff - with great location. Better than the two 4-star hotels we stayed in the previous two nights. Short walking distance from the Pisa San Rossore railway station (5 minutes by train from the main station in Pisa).
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this hotel as Pisa is not exactly a city where tourists spend much time. In saying that, I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel - it was beautiful. It was probably the most classy looking hotel we stayed in on our Italy vacation. It is small and cozy. We booked a family room with one big bed and 2 singles and again, I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was perfect. We were only staying overnight as we were departing from Pisa airport and this room was just fine for us and our 2 young adult sons - the room was spacious and the beds were all good sizes. The bathroom was lovely. The gentleman that checked us in was very helpful and very friendly. He made a dinner reservation for us and was happy to do so. Oh, and the location could not have been better to access the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the restaurant area. Overall, a very good stay - I highly recommend.…
This hotel, now called Hotel Villa Tower Inn , is definitely a 3-star hotel -- as indicated in the Trip Advisor description here and NOT 4-star as suggested by their logo and promotions. I suppose it may be a decent 3-star hotel: quaint, near the only real attractions that draw you to Pisa, easy-to-find, with 24-hour reception, a mini-bar fridge, LCD TV, etc. I understand from some reviews that there are renovated rooms. Not 207, although the bathroom sports updated amenities. The paint is aging and the decor is "charming" where charm stand-ins for "subpar" like "antique" stands-in for "old." The headboard has probably seen better days and seen many things. I say that because this is the "Romantic" room. It's romantic because with more than one person in the room there is going to be a lot of touching--intended or not. The ceiling is very high: eyeballing it, the height of the room is easily 20% more than either its length or width. Continuing on the theme of odd perspectives and charm, there is an armour in the room. It is perfectly serviceable, though only Michael Jordan could use the top of the two clothes rods. It is 3" short of the 8' height of a basketball rim. (I measured.) How such a guest would fit for sleep is a whole other question... The room has what seems to be an anemic little A/C that turns out to be surprisingly up to the job at least through the night. It was so hot out this week that we hardly bothered to open the shutters (inside or out), except to note that the view from this room is of a wall and hospital parking area/park. I'm trying not to be too bitchy because the hotel can't possibly live up to my expectations of a 4-star hotel. It shouldn't have to... unless, of course, its logo suggests that it has 4-stars.…
Unfortunately the breakfast buffet was not available while we stayed, so we got room-service breakfast instead, which was reasonable, but sitting on the bed's edge with a tray on the small table was not entirely an optimal relaxing start of the day. A big plus point of this place is its proximity to the main attractions of the city; just a short walk. The best is actually the staff. They are friendly and helpful.
We stayed in the triple room with tower view. Do not get too high hopes but the room is really nice and cozy. Staff very attentive and the breakfast good. Bathroom was really nice too so we loved our stay. Only downside is that it is paper thin walls, you hear almost everything that is going on. For us not a major issue but it is present. The beds were not great but that is also a little bit personal. Between 3 and 4 dots would be apt.
Huge 2 room suite with private terrace for breakfast. Newer red marble bathroom. gorgeous interior decor with high ceilings and antique furniture. LAURA was a wonderful hostess and her entire team were just great. There is street noise despite the good windows some of which could be lessened by fixing an uneven manhole in the street just in front of the building. WE WILL COME BACK FOR SURE
YOU MIGHT NOT BE GIVEN AN HOTEL ROOM (although you'll pay for it)! FOR YOUR SANITY AND WELL BEING, DO NOT STAY HERE! Although the other "rooms" might be different this is a total gamble. We booked a double room and once arrived they assigned us "room" 410 which is outside of the main building (shelter is the best description to the place). There are in fact, at least, 2 "rooms" in this backyard shelter (410 & 411) ... I don't know if inside the main building there are any other dungeons... Where to start the indescribable hideous place we were given for a price of an hotel room: the aluminum door with a brown plastic sheet covering the top of the door (possibly a glass area) is the first sight of what's expecting you; inside, the 'room' the window is at a high level and obviously frosted glass so you can't look anywhere (like you possibly find in a prison!); The bad mattress is terribly uncomfortable... once we laid down we felt rather itchy (!!) and a bed head is full of stains; Toilet: mold and loose toilet characterize this disgusting space. Clearly there’s mold in different areas of the sleeping and wet areas (which they call room and toilet!!) thus they covered them with plaster and other materials (like those next to the wash basin) to hide the disgrace of this filthy place. WiFi: one single connection which sometimes works. The only positive aspect is the location which is quite close to the main attractions. Having said that Pisa is a small city which can easily be explored by foot so one can be more flexible on accommodation location.…
