Except the location, everything is quite poor at Hotel Francesco. The room tented to be clean at the first look but we found a lot of hairs in the bed sheets and old used shampoos in the bathrooms. This is really not professional. The room furnitures are very old as well and a lot of pieces broken. The front desk is almost always closed and the check-in needs to be arranged with somebody by WhatsApp in advance... not convenient at all. Also the breakfast was announced to be served in the room due to COVID but the person never came. We have been told at the checkout that the trays needed to be taken by ourselves in the lobby... We would therefore neither visit this hotel again nor recommend it. There are for sure better places to sleep in Pisa.
We stayed in this hotel for one night. Not bad for one day, very nice place, around a lot of bars to have a lunch, dinner and 5 min walk to Pisa Tower. Rooms are small, definitely hotel not for with kids. Breakfast included, but average service.
This is the worst hotel you can ever book. Do not waste your time with it. I had booked and was due to pay at the property. Please note this is not a proper hotel it just looks like a house! There was no one at reception and when you called the rude man who has no manners told me I had to wait 30 mins or that I should look for another hotel. This is not something you are supposed to experience when you arrive to different city from a long flight. The person who owns/manages the hotel is extremely rude and distasteful and should have his hotel shut down for such vile customer service. In the end we got the most lovely hotel. This hotel needs to be closed down! BE WARE BEFORE YOU BOOK
The hotel is in a great location in the main pedestrian area of Pisa and is walkable to everything you want to see in Pisa. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but the front desk is not open 24 hours a day. Apparently it closes some days at 9pm, some at 10pm. Breakfast was very nice and offered many options. Rooms are sparse, but included the needed items. Our room was tucked away on the 4th floor and not accessible by elevator. The room felt quite claustrophobic as noting was visible from the windows as unknown things were blocking them, apparently from other buildings terraces. Room needed a little extra housekeeping as there was visible mold growing on the wall near the window and bed. For us, the hotel served its purpose as a quick place to rest for an overnight stay, but would likely not stay here again.…
Extremely good value. Within 100m of the main tourist attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff - advised us on public transport options, arranged taxis, helped with queries via email before we arrived etc. Nice continental breakfast. Quite noisy at nighttime given its proximity to the main tourist area and outdoor eateries. Bunk beds for the kids had very noisy springs which kept us awake a lot of the night - could do with being replaced. Overall - really enjoyed staying here but didn’t sleep well on any of our three nights here.
Lovely accommodation with very friendly staff, right in the centre of Pisa. Breakfasts aren’t fantastic for gf and dairy free. But didn’t go hungry....but Italy is the land of pasta and pizza so who can complain??
Following a disappointing arrival at another hotel, which we left, we decided to try this hotel. And to say it offered everything we needed a room with an additional bed and amenities for our family of 3, it was clean and tidy and welcoming. We booked this through Booking.com and we got what was advertised on the website. Breakfast was lovely too. Not far from The Tower of Pisa, and on the main road to the tower, there were plenty of choices for food and drink.
This hotel was great to stay in. It was like 5 mins walking to the Pisa tower and it’s around restaurants and coffee shops. The staff was very nice and friendly. Also I have to say it was super clean. I would stay there for sure if I visit again. Also very convenient as they keep your luggage after check out so you can walk around without it.
We managed to book a room in this hotel via Hotels.com just the night before for a decent price. We stayed for 2 nights. Attributes of this hotel: - Close to all the tourist sites in Pisa. 3 minute walk to Piazza dei Miracoli. Restaurants literally at its doorstep. - Friendly English-speaking staff - Small, modest but clean room and bathroom. Bed made and clean towels provided daily. - Free wifi - Very good breakfast (assorted meats, pastries, fruits, juices, coffee) with a view of the Leaning Tower and superb service by Gerardo (Note: Breakfast is not free but is worth the 9 euro charge) - Safe - Front doot is locked at 2200 but guests can enter hotel using electronic key
This traditional hotel is ideally situated on Via Santa Maria and is literally steps away from the leaning tower. There are also lots of restaurants and bars on the road. The river and the centre are an easy 5-10 minute walk away. Our room was basic but had everything we needed. The bathroom was very small and would benefit from some shelves storage and hooks for towels. The rooms were spotlessly clean with good air con and screen for mosquitoes. There is s good well stocked minibar with reasonable prices a 500ml bottle of water was €1 the same as local shops and you could also buy on reception. I think the hotel should be congratulated for this as we have been overcharged so many times in other hotels. There are also now coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast was good with a good range of pastries fruit meats cheese and bread. Coffee was indeed lovely. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is a great place to stay in Pisa and I would stay again. …
