Liked · Great location near the Leaning Tower with plenty of restaurants close by. Breakfast was fine with a good selection. There was a bar and restaurant in the hotel which were open in the evenings. The barman Marco was fantastic. Disliked · There needs to be a grab rail, shelve and non slip mat in the shower. The wi fi needs to be improved.
Exceptional location for the Duomo and leaning tower, the views from the roof top bar are exceptional to say the least. A very clean and comfortable hotel room. The only slight thing would be the bathroom could do with an upgrade but it did not effect our stay and was functional & clean. The included breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel certainly deserves the 5 star review for the hotel staff alone, so helpful and polite. Many thanks and keep up the good work.
The first room we were placed in was not the best, rock hard beds, paint work was terrible and only have a curtain in the bathroom meaning you were fully visible to the neighbouring building. We then we’re moved to another room which was lovely. The bed was comfy, room larger and much more modern. The view was outstanding! In here we also had a large bathroom with a bath. The staff were all lovely, especially Andrea who was extremely kind upon our arrival and suggested where is best to eat. The breakfast in the morning was okay, mostly fresh pastries and cereal. There was also a rooftop bar, unfortunately due to a private function we couldn’t sit down to have a drink but it was a gorgeous view and a lovely area.
First and foremost is the location of this older fashion hotel. It’s no more than two minutes walk from hotel to the leaning tower! It does not get much better than that! The hotel is located 1.4km from the railway station (which has direct low price trains from the airport) with a regular service. Due to one way roads, taxis take approx 10-15 minutes (except rush hour) and cost in the region of 13 euros including tip. Opposite the hotel are many trattorias, cafes etc. you are quite spoilt for choice. Wander a bit further away from the hotel and you will find more local type restaurants at lower prices. You will also find a carrefour express and a Pam express convenience store. Check In was quick and easy and the reception staff most helpful and professional. The hotel has a mezzanine floor with a bar, restaurant and breakfast room, on the 5th floor is a balcony and bar area with stunning views of the tower. My room on the second floor was a double ensuite. Their was no view except of a side street. Due to one of the double glazed windows being broken I did suffer noise from food delivery mopeds. The room was rather outdated with a lot of dark wood. The bed was comfortable.their was a small flat screen tv, very small wall safe and a mini bar. The bathroom again was very outdated with small shower, but everything worked well. Breakfast was the usual European Fayre..Teas, coffees, juices, breads and pastries, cereals cheese and hams, bacon and eggs. The apricot danish was exceptional. Reception was busy when I checked out (the hotel is used by your groups). The receptionist gladly ordered me a taxi which arrived within 5 minutes. If you are looking for a superb location hotel - and don’t mind it being outdated - this hotel fits the bill…
Location, location, location! When coming to Pisa you obviously want to be close to the Tower and this hotel is right around the corner. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were so helpful! We were starving when we arrived for the night and after the hotel's first recommendation wouldn't take us, we went back and the desk staff called restaurants until we could get in somewhere. The place we ended up was amazing and I think we only got in because the hotel's staff made the call. Would definitely recommend when staying in Pisa!!
Awesome location. Mins from leaning tower of Pisa , and restaurant. We caught a cab from airport. You will have trouble if u have a car ,as it is zoned no cars . Breakfast was included and great. Rooms a small. And limited space , but staff were extremely helpful . The views from 5th floor amazing. Opened all the time.
The Hotel is in the perfect spot for sightseeing in Pisa. I was travelling solo for 2 nights The Staff throughout this Hotel work so hard and are always kind and gracious to each and every guest, most of the reception staff are Multilingual and I think the breakfast waiters also. Even the House keeping lady was lovely . The bedrooms are simply decorated and clean, sadly the wifi in room was very weak in my room, in public areas it worked well. In room you have independent air-con, a minibar fridge, which you can place your own cold drinks if you chose not to use the drink provided (at a charge) - Little supermarket just a few doors away, there are no no tea or coffee making facilities I had a room overlooking the main pedestrian street with Restaurants, surprisingly not very noisy A special shot out to Andreas on reception, I became unwell on my first night, I asked for a doctor, he decided to call an Ambulance for me and I was swiftly taken care of, he was genuinely relieved when he saw me return that same evening The Hotel has a wonderful rooftop terrance, my main reason for choosing this hotel. It's a large hotel, in comparison to lot in the area, the corridors to rooms could really do with decorating, don't let this put you off, after all you don't spend much time in the corridors. You are in the heart of Pisa, great locations and wonderful staff.…
You could not ask for a better locatio, simply amazing views from the roof top bar, the hotel was large and I think probably quite grand in its day, staff friendly, rooms were ok but we did ask for standard/ economy, bathroom dated but functionable, small thing no coat hangers, would recommend but mainly for the location.
A large hotel within a few metres of the famous leaning tower. It is on a pedestrian stree which can be accessed by taxis [a taxi from the airport is about 10 minutes and costs 12 Euros]. The room was fine with good bed. The bathroom door stuck and was noisy but all else was lovely Superb bar and roof terrace
We recently stayed two nights at this hotel and were very impressed. Our room was comfortable and in a great location with views of the Square of Miracles. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the breakfasts were very good. The rooftop bar was an added bonus. We intend to visit Pisa again and will stay in this hotel when we do so. We would also recommend other people to stay here as it has very good access to Pisa station and the various attractions of the city.
