I randomly stayed at the Grand Hotel Duomo while my friend was staying at the hospital and the location was excellent. The view from the rooftop terrace is enough of a reason to stay here. The staff, especially Francesco at the front desk, was extremely...More
Ok i’ll be quite blunt, and honest, this hotel is in need of major repairs done on it, it needs major money spent on it, The staff are very friendly, helpful.

I am astonished at the beauty of the great monuments of man's achievements out our window in this very very comfortable room in this perfect hotel. Management caters to our every need and the food is delicious at their rooftop restaurant.

Yes, there is a lift. If I remember, there are five floors altogether. breakfast was vast--catering to both Italian, German, British, and U.S. preferences. The surrounding streets are mostly pedestrian-only zones, so there is no road noise. It would depend on what guests were partying. Even with a "do" on the terrace restaurant, there would be not much noise pollution, if any. You could probably arrange for a late check out, but would have to leave your luggage downstairs in an area of the lobby. The desk staff would call a cab for you, by the way, since there is no car traffic on the street in front of the hotel.
