Good location very close to Tower etc. WiFi is virtually non existent. Rooms are clean but very basic. Only shower gel in bathroom. Not all rooms have a safe. Breakfast is OK. 15 mins walk from central station. No airport/station collection service.

Hotel's Favourite
Exceptional location for the Duomo and leaning tower, the views from the roof top bar are exceptional to say the least. A very clean and comfortable hotel room. The only slight thing would be the bathroom could do with an upgrade but it did not effect our stay and was functional & clean. The included breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel certainly deserves the 5 star review for the hotel staff alone, so helpful and polite. Many thanks and keep up the good work.

Had the most perfect stay for 1 night in Pisa at Grand Hotel Duomo. A stones throw from the main attraction great eateries and street food on the doorstep! Lorenzo at reception was wonderful and welcoming. We had room 408, incredible view of the Leaning Tower of Pisa thank you! Very comfortable bed. The roof terrace is also a must see. Breakfast was excellent too. Fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, ham, along with cereals, fruit and yogurts and breads/croissants. The breakfast staff are attentive and friendly. Will be back. Thank you Grand Hotel Duomo!

Pros: I like how there is free water, I have been to two hotels in Italy and you have to pay for water. You can play the piano :D. Lots of toiletry things like shampoo and toilet paper. You can see the leaning tower of Pisa from your hotel. Good service. Cons: Simple hotel. No tea, coffee or boiler. Was a bit noisy. I would recommend to stay at this hotel, if your the type of person who wants to see everything, restaurants, tourist attractions, etc… but if not you should still stay here 👍🏻

We stayed at the grand Hotel duomo for 1 night, the service was great and our room was clean and comfortable. It's in a fantastic location with wonderful views of the leaning tower, especially in the rooftop bar. The breakfast was a little odd and there were no staff to assist guests at breakfast, which we found strange. The only problems we had was that our room only had 1 socket which was broken, so we had to use the shaver socket in the bathroom to charge our phones and that we were kept up at night as the curtains didn't close and it was very noisy outside due to location. We would stay here again but ask for a different room.

Superb location, only minutes walk away from the Leaning Tower and Cathedral. Staff really care about their guests. Roof top restaurant with views of The Tower and good food. Decent breakfast selection. Recommended

Comfortable but very dated. Very near to the tower with amazing restaurant at the top with a bar. Friendly staff. Just needs a renovation. Lots of restaurants around the hotel it’s bang in the middle of the action. Good cocktails and relaxing area. Breakfast good range of foods

Visiting Tuscany, we tend to fly into Pisa airport and stay at the Grand Hotel Duomo before heading off. Apart from the rooftop restaurant, the place has not changed in 15 years. It's all "faded grandeur". WE'VE changed, though - my wife now uses a manual wheelchair, and the Grand Hotel Duomo is NOT wheelchair friendly. To get into Reception from the street, you have the choice of double doors up a step, or single doors up a steep slope. The single door has to be opened by hand and held back for a wheelchair to pass through. We struggled, with me grabbing the door handle, half opening the door, my wife then opening the door more fully and me pushing her and the wheelchair up the steep ramp! NONE OF THE RECEPTION STAFF MADE ANY ATTEMPT TO HELP. We were fortunate on occasions that a hotel guest waiting in the lobby saw our plight and came to our aid! The hotel needs to instal an automatic door as a minimum for guests in wheelchairs. The included breakfast was pleasant and satisfying enough, but all the food was laid out on serving tables up two steps from the most of the eating tables! So I had to settle my wife at a table, then walk up the steps, memorise what food was on offer, come back down again, recite the food options, then go and fetch her choice. It would have preserved her dignity if a ramp was installed and she could have inspected the food herself! As many other guests have said, the hotel is in a perfect location: the views of the Tower and Duomo from the rooftop are spectacular, especially at night, but - sadly - the hotel is stuck in the past, and we'll be finding somewhere else in Pisa to stay next time.

Extremely helpful in ordering is a taxi back to our hotel from the area. Didn’t hesitate to book a taxi for us to pick up from outside the hotel. Offered advice when needed and was helpful with all information given. Situated on a lovely street. With loads of fab restaurants
