And Pisa airport is no exception. Rudimentary toilet facilities, poor catering, insufficient seating & tables - unclean & uncleared. Whole place kind of grubby. Bad advert for the city and the country.

These people have no idea whatsoever. No signs up, you need to telephone a mobile number for anyone to anser the door. Then the place is a shambles, the....receptionist....walked us across a busy junction to get to the block of flats in which were located the two rooms that we had booked, NO THEY DON'T take credit cards, so that left me short of cash on my last two days touring. Very odd. Crazy in fact. Steer well clear.

Room #4 looked completely different than posted on the web. Very dirty dark. Dangerous plug to the hairdryer can kill you. Don't go there!!!! We came very late because flight was delayed. It was the closest option to the airport but totally wrong choice.

We booked this place on booking.com based on it's low price and being so close to Pisa airport as we had a 6.30am flight. I was expecting something really basic, which would have been fine, but this place was disgusting! When we arrived the receptionist was really friendly which is the only good thing I can say about this place. However she requested our payment that night as she would not be there in the morning, now I think that this is to ensure that you don't refuse to pay when you see the state of the place. She took us into an apartment block where our room was. There was large spots of dried blood in the hallway and empty drinks bottles just lying about the hall, bags of laundry were in the hallway when we arrived and were still there in the morning when we left. We should have just left there and then but hoped that the room would be better. It wasn't. The room hadn't been cleaned properly, there was rubbish from previous guests in drawers and stains from the mattress could be seen through the bedsheets. One of the beds had broken springs so you would just sink right down as soon as you sat in it and one of the pillows was so old that it had turned all lumpy like it had thick strips of material inside rather than actually being a pillow. The shared bathroom (1 between 5-6 rooms of 2 people) was absolutely filthy, shower covered in black mould with no hot water and there was piles of empty shampoo bottles and sachets inside the shower cubicle. The room was also filled with mosquitos and the walls were so thin that we could hear everything that happened in the room next door, including things we really didn't want to be hearing. I camp wild and sleep outdoors regularly and have spent nights in plenty of really basic hostels so I'm not in the slightest bit precious about where I sleep but this was honestly absolutely disgusting. If the airport had been opened throughout the night we genuinely would have just gone and spent the night there, at one point we even discussed just finding a bench to lie on until the morning, instead we ended up sitting awake, swotting mosquitos and trying not to touch anything and we left for the airport as soon as it opened at 4am just to get out of there. This is not even a 'get what you pay for' deal. At the very least the place should be clean. The pictures of rooms that are shown on booking.com are not what you get. You couldn't pay me to stay here again.

Don't queue up. Turn left to go towards 'PisMover' shuttle to Pisa Central. Buy ticket €4.20 approx. Then at Pisa Central buy ticket approx €8.40 to Firenze San Marco Novella station. Trip is about 1 hour 20 mins. Download Trenitalia app to get train times.

We have booked this place on booking.com, but we should read the reviews here, on Trip Advisor! There is no reception desk, the lady who gave us the keys of our room just wrote ours personal info to some piece of paper. I can bet that she threw that paper later in the trash. She was not nice and we did not felt comfortable. We also heard her commenting us with her friend/colleague. We understand a little bit of Italian so it wasn't difficult to understand. I find that very rude. The room was dirty, with no decent pillow or blanket. Here comes the best part: NO HOT WATER in the shower. Really, no hot water?! I couldn't wait to wake up next morning so we can leave the place. There was no check out, we have just left the keys in the room and thats it. Don't go there!!!

If you want something better, you should stay at a hotel. My friend and I split €28 for a room (two beds, a wardrobe and a desk). Comfortable temperature and plenty of lighting. The bathrooms were reasonably clean and the staff was accommodating of our late arrival and early departure times. Main complaint was the noise, you could here everything, and that our bedroom door didn't lock (we found out in the morning). It was one night and provided everything we needed.

Just used as a crash pad before flight back to UK next morning. Directions not clear especially in the dark as there are no numbers. Eventually found one lighted ground floor window in an empty block that appeared to be the only sign of habitation for miles. Banged on the window waving my hotels.com print out to be told yes this is the place. There was an intercom on the front gate but all i got was a number unobtainable message. There were no signs and the front door was in total darkness. When it was openend a very pleasant lady who spoke perfect English took my card and passport details and took us next door to a deserted block of rooms next door. The room was just big enough for a double bed and had a glass wardrobe effort covering a blank wall ! Shared bathrooms next door. Checked out next morning by just leaving key in the door. It would do for one night and for the 27 euros we paid just to sleep, shower and be on our way.

Exactly what we needed and fair for what you pay. It's a clean room really near the airport with a friendly hostess. There was a great bar near by open until one. They do have a resident cat so avoid if you have serve allergies, although it doesn't go into the rooms and I was okay. Look for the number as it has a different name on the sign so took us ages to find!
