At first we thought we were going to have a bad stay: either I booked by mistake a room stating it was for 1 or there was an issue with the system. The lady told us we had to pay extra. That said, when I should her that the room costed the same whether for 1 or for 2 people when booked online, she called someone and everything was fixed. The room was really nice. The bathroom, private, was outside the room. I enjoyed that a lot as given the space constraints, it gave privacy as well as kept the moisture from the shower out of the room. The location is awesome. Half way between the Tower of Pisa and the downtown area. Fantastic value!

The hotel was helpful in giving me instructions to access but note they do not have a front desk past 8pm which was a bit odd. I couldn't get the wifi password to work. The hotel room was very clean and huge. My double bed was two single beds put together, a bit weird. The shower was ok and bathroom was clean. The trouble was the mosquitoes. I literally couldn't sleep as they kept buzzing in my ear. They are everywhere and the visitors book included people mentioning this. Not sure there's much they can do about it but it ruined my stay and left me very tired and bitten the next day. Certainly would not stay again for this one, very important reason.

A very basic room but for the price it was really good. Very clean and really friendly staff. Shared bathroom down the corridor which would not suit some people but was very clean. Our room overlooked a side alley which was very noisey during the night as well. Excellent location for the Tower and Cathedral however as well as the area for the bars, restaurants etc. 20 minutes walk from the train station to avoid waiting in the Taxi rank. Reception closes at 8pm so you will get a key to the front gates and a key to the front door, as well as a key to the room and a key to the bathroom.

A big Thank you to Alexandra and Francesca who have looked after us and gave us plenty of good advices for restaurants, visits and shoppings. The hotel is near to very good restaurants and most of all Pisa sightseeings. Rooms are cleaned and made every single day. It was one of our best holidays ever.

Went there for the bank holiday, hotel is in the old city center, located in an old town house, quite interesting if you want to experience sleeping in a place like that, for that we booked their suite: room is impressive, but: not clean, dust every where, two old beds as well in the room (assume for kids), bathroom not proper cleaned, towels a joke - but that all is somehow acceptable in Italy, with a warm welcome form the receptionist you anyhow just look forward to visiting the city. Why the bad rating: at night it still can get cold, and you somehow expect a heater that works: upon complain to the receptionist she just stated rude: "no, no frio!" Could be a great place if it would have been clean, with heating and the bathroom updates.

If you want authentic Tuscan food away from the tourist restaurants in Pisa then you won't be disappointed in this place. Excellent food especially the lobster tagliatelle and the wild boar with polenta. Yummy

First thing first. If you are coming to Pisa to see the Tower then this is the last place to stay. It is in the middle of nowhere. It's close to the airport but you cannot walk to it as there is a motorway in between. We came on a late flight from Stansted airport. We thought we will get a taxi to the hotel We were shocked to see that around 50 people were waiting with only one taxi. It took us another hour and half before we could get a 5 minutes taxi to the hotel. Taxi are very expensive here. Costs us 13 Euro for mile long drive to the hotel. The hotel is 3 star hidden in 4 star label In all honesty there is nothing in the hotel which is exciting. People are deceived by the photos on the website. Just to give you an idea of how bad things were, the day we arrived two of the three lifts were out of order. The Rooms are very basic with no facilities for making tea. When we walked into the room the TV was not working and phone was there but with no connection The breakfast is one of the most basic I have come across in my whole life. There is no bus or train stop nearby Wherever you go you have to call a taxi which I have mentioned is a expensive affair. Another comment on Taxi,s They are not easily available as we are used to in U.K. We were at the leaning Tower around 9.30 on Sunday night. Wanted to go back to the hotel No taxi Waited for half an hour Not a single one turned up. Had to walk in to the nearest hotel to request them to call on for us. In brief if you are coming to Pisa to see the Tower then stay near the Tower. This would be the last place to be recommended for this purpose I wonder why someone else would come to Pisa Florence is an hour away Get the train from Pisa station not the coach from airport It's cost 8.40 Euro one way trip ( same day return). The trains are exact on time and comfortable There must be something good to say about the hotel The staff are courteous

I can't comment on the standard of accommodation all I can tell you is we had problems on our first night. We booked through booking.com - The hotel kept asking me for a "valid" credit card. I provided this 3 times. AMEX have said no attempt was made to take the money. When we landed in Pisa the hotel sent this "helpful" message. i'm writing from Hotel Galileo . The reservation is cancelled because of invalid credit card and we don't have any room available . You can call Booking.com to ask for more explanaitions. The reception close at 20.00 and you can't find anyone after 20.00 Regards Hotel Galileo We had nowhere to go - we walked around Pisa for hours until we found somewhere to stay. Booking.com we're useless - they were unable to secure us any other accommodation - Booking.com are blaming the hotel and the hotel are blaming booking.com - nightmare. I have complained directly to the hotel but all I have had is sarcastic rude emails back. Overall the service was bad - hopefully you won't run into any problems as the staff are rude, unhelpful and really don't care.
