Our first stay in this small hotel. Well located and managed in a friendly style. Enter through heavy wooden doors into a courtyard then 20 steps up to reception. Our room was on the (Basically traffic free) mail street. The en-suite room was quite simply furnished but comfortable with two large arm chairs. Breakfast offered a good selection of cold meats, fruit, bread - far more than adequate and good strong coffee or a selection of teas. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights. Great value !

This is a beautiful little Hotel run by beautiful and helpful people. The location is perfect for experiencing all Lucca has to offer. It is safe, clean, easy to find and very comfortable. Check in and out was quick and easy. A lovely breakfast is available and offered over an extended period which meant a sleep in was possible. Our room was quiet given we were in the middle of the City walls. Marta and Ingrid were helpful and friendly. I would happily stay here again. Thank you 😌

Marta was very nice & extremely helpful upon our arrival. The hotel & accommodations were very nice. You couldn't beat the location right in town & breakfast every morning was fantastic. Like most European hotels the bathroom was small & tight but manageable. You do need a little bit of muscle as there is no lift if you have heavy luggage to get upstairs. Otherwise there would be no reason to not stay there as we would happily book again on our next visit.

This is a wonderful hotel. It is hidden in plain sight behind huge wooden doors off a busy street. once inside the courtyard aisle is silent. Martha and her colleagues welcome you to a wonderful Pallazzo with exceptional rooms, each of them different, finished with beautiful furnishings. You feel you are in a private home . Magnificent place run by magnificent people. Thank you Martha and colleagues,we will be back.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, right in the very heart of the city on the main shopping street. Surprisingly it was not even noisy at night, even though we were over-looking the street. The room was large and comfortable; the aircon struggled to cope really but was OK (perhaps might not if it was really the heat of the summer). Breakfast was typical Italian and more than adequate. The private parking was convenient (but costs €15 a day). One note of caution: the hotel is located on the first floor of the building, and is accessed by a steep flight of stairs; there is no elevator(lift). And inside the property there are several small flights of stairs. This would not be suitable for elderly or infirm visitors of if you have heavy bags to bring up.

I loved this hotel. Booked a last minute stay in Lucca and wish we could have stayed for days longer. The hotel is ideally located and nicely decorated inside. The room was spacious and well equipped for our baby too! Breakfast was amazing and again very accommodating for our baby. They made her a smoothie and gave her a high chair. My only recommendation would be to give better instructions on how to find parking and open the giant front door. Would 100% return to this hotel!!

This was a beautifully restored residence in the center of Lucca, inside the walls, on the main shopping street. Marta and Ingrid were great hosts and Marta's breakfasts were extraordinary. The beautiful (and heavy) wood entrance doors revealed a wonderful courtyard shared by the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms were updated but preserved the original architecture. This B&B was centrally located within walking distance of Lucca's sites.

Our stay here was fantastic! The room was spacious, there was a jacuzzi shower and the Wi-Fi was great. Ingrid and team were really friendly and recommended a great place to eat on our first day. The location is brilliant - in the middle of lots of amazing restaurants and just off the main shopping street in Lucca, about a 15 minute walk from the train station.

We stayed in the apartment, separated from the main hotel and really enjoyed the accommodation. Great attention was given to maintaining the ancient vibes of the building while updating the space nicely too. It enters from a private doorway on the main corridor in Lucca, between a cocktail bar/cafe and a gelato shop. No elevator so you have to climb a few tall flights to get to it. I would knock off half a point if I could for the shabby shape of the two couches and the worn mattress, but they were clean and we slept fine so I will give them that. Please note; you hear EVERYTHING going on down on the street and as stated, it’s in a very bustling location with folks dining, drinking and very often shouting just below the bedroom windows. The noise goes late and starts again very early with trash trucks banging around etc. I can’t stress enough that it is noisy and there is no option to get away from it save to sleep in the bathroom. Lucca is all stone and masonry with narrow corridors so even regular speaking level voices echo and reverberate loudly here. I didn’t ding any points for this because it didn’t really bother us but I’m positive it would be unacceptable for people who require quite. The kitchen was nice but very sparsely stocked, where even the addition of a sauce pot to boil water would have been very helpful. We made it work with the little that was there and compared to the US, groceries were extremely cheap so it wasn’t a big deal to have to get our own salt, sugar, etc. We left those things behind so maybe the folks after us will be a bit better set up. The opportunity to cook for ourselves was very welcome and there’s a great little market just around the corner where we got lots of what we needed. There’s also a couple grocery stores within easy walking distance. The central location makes it easy to walk to everything we wanted to do on our 5 days in Lucca and there’s even a self serve laundromat near by. We were amused that it’s immediately facing the Museum of Torture and the mildly grotesque signage for that, but some folks may not appreciate that so be warned. The proprietors could easily make this space so much nicer by removing the busted old electronics instead of just setting a tiny new tv in front of the huge busted old one, but whatever. We were able to catch up on Netflix and we were content.

Brilliant central position - step in off the main street - Via Filungo, into a clean comfortable oasis of calm. Really helpful staff. Excellent breakfast - croissants, fruit, smoothies, fruit juice, bread toast, jam, honey, nuttella, butter, ham off the bone, salami, eggs, tomatoes, olives, yoghurt - think that is everything. And of course tea, coffee or chocolate. Really comfortable bed. Everything superbly clean. The only negative was the stairs to the entrance - but as the hotel is on the first floor over the shops, there is not a lot they can do about that. In short, an excellent base from which to explore the town - and not too far from trains, buses etc to go further.
