Detailed Reviews
We stayed 2 nights just after the grand reopening post Covid-19 lockdown. The hotel had been reopened the day before. Everything was cleaned and disinfected, the staff was eager to work and serve clients after a long period of inactivity. They were professionally polite but they showed the willingness to help as a sign to come back to the "normality".
Due to the safety restrictions some limitations applied: bar was closed, breakfast was not a buffet, lft to be used by one family at the time.
Location is perfect: downtown, few hundreds meter from the major cultural landmarks (e. Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo della Signoria). The location (in pedestrian zone) obliges you to exploit the valet parking service (not included in the hotel rate) an it requires a notice of 30 minutes to get the car.
Room had a good size and was very clean. TV set 55", iron board, safe, frigo-bar ere available.
Bathroom huge and immaculate.
Wi-Fi was available for free in the room and in the common areas with a good throughput.
Breakfast (English and continental) included, wide choice and excellent quality.
Price/quality ratio exceptional (maybe they made special price for the reopening).
Highly recommended!

We got a really good deal, I'm guessing due to the coronavirus fears and tourism decline, and stayed here for 85 euros incl. breakfast and a bottle of wine. The hotel was very pretty with very friendly staff, comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast. It was also very centrally located which meant we could just walk around and take in the sights.
Unfortunately, for light sleepers like me it was a little bit of an issue that the rooms weren't particularly well noise insulated and the room doors gave off a very loud buzz whenever unlocked with a key card. This, despite the very comfortable bed, meant that I was constantly waking up from noises in the hallway or neighboring rooms. Then, arriving at the breakfast room, we were surprised to find that there weren't nearly enough tables to seat all the hotel guests that were there to have breakfast. Many people were waiting for free seats and the poor staff was visibly incredibly stressed out. This unfortunately also meant that ordered hot drinks were forgotten and food and drinks from the buffet were not refilled. Tea drinkers will be disappointed here, as all they will find is barely luke warm water and small cups to work with. Only after several requests and a long wait were we finally given a small cup of hot water. No teapots. Not being able to have a nice cup of hot tea the morning after a sleepless night was a big letdown. Then again, they did have a kettle and tea bags in the rooms. So if you want tea in the morning maybe have it before going down to breakfast. Or drink coffee.

Dear Platybo, Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We're so glad to hear that you had a overall positive stay with us at Palazzo Alfieri. We're also thrilled that you loved our central location so much. As you mentioned in your review, you stayed with us in a very difficult moment for our Hotel and for the Whole city of Florence, unfortunately. During the difficult days of your stay, Covid-19 was beginning to spread in Italy and this has created some unexpected problems with the organization of the Staff for the breakfast service at the colleagues of Foody Farm Florence that deliver it for us. We are extremely sorry about this and we're sure you understand us. We'd love to see you again soon so we can share a more enjoyable experience with you. Warm regards, Mario Morello, General Manager - Alfieri Collezione

This is a great hotel, the furnishing are luxurious and clean, great breakfast and the location is just convenient. It is near the Santa Maria Novella train station and Unita Tram station, the trip from the airport by tram is only 1.50euro. All the historic sites is nearby, places like Ponte Vecchio and the cathedrals. An Apple store is not far away from this hotel. A complimentary bottle of local Chianti was provided along with processo during breakfast. The breakfast itself was hearty with varieties to suit everyone. The rooms are large, comfortable and quiet. Only issue i had is that the roof top terrace was unaccessible, i tried to go there 3 times and the door was always locked. It was cold in Florence so can say the heating is very good. Excellent Wifi and TV channels. I highly recommend this hotel, it is pricey but worth it.

Dear 961rickyc, Thank you for your 5 star review following your stay with us. I was delighted to see the Team, breakfast and our location were highlights for you. The new "Breakfarm" signature breakfast hasn't just had its one year anniversary yet and it is great to continue to read positive feedback in this area. Unfortunately during the days of your stay the weather has been frequently rainy, so we were forced to keep the Terrace closed. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Yours sincerely, Mario Morello, General Manager - Alfieri Collezione

We booked with friends to celebrate a birthday.
Our rooms were very clean, well presented, larger than anticipated. Our room (421) overlooked the internal courtyard, with a view of a church tower.
The room was spacious, the WiFi excellent (speeds around 40mbps). We had a Samsung Smart Tv, so was able to access Netflix’s, Amazon Prime, and Google subscriptions.
The staff were all very polite and friendly.
My only negative comment is regarding the lack of space in the breakfast room. We stayed for 3 nights. The Friday morning was fine. However on Saturday morning we had to wait for a table, and on Sunday I left breakfast-less, so my friends could claim the only table (for 2). This is a shame, as the food was great. So if breakfast is your most important meal of the day get up early!

Dear wake35, it's a pleasure to read how much you enjoyed your stay at Palazzo Alfieri and how highly you value our property and services. I shall pass your feedback to the Palazzo Alfieri Team who will be as grateful as I am for such positive comments. We are currently working on the Breakfast room setup with our partners at Foody Farm Firenze, who deliver the service: a new area for the tables will be available soon! I look forward to welcoming you back very soon. Kind Regards Mario Morello, General Manager - Alfieri Collezione

Location is perfect - very centre of Florence. I have been in the renovated part and strongly recommend to stay only there (ask which rooms are renovated). The rooms are large for Florence and nicely decorated with a good taste - I tried 2 types of rooms. Superior room facing the yard was very big and very quiet. Junior suite with river view was smaller but the view was very nice. There were some technical issues in the bathroom, but they were resolved very quickly. All the team is very attentive and friendly. Did not tried the breakfast as I like to do it in town. Can recommend without hesitation.

We stayed here for 4 nights in October 2021.
The location is excellent. Florence is nice and small so nothing is too far away, but we found this area had all the restaurants and bars we liked within 5-10 min walk.
The rooms are really modern and well maintained. The decor really feels quite classy. The bed was extremely comfortable.
Breakfast was Included (Foody Farm restaurant outside) which I have reviewed seperate to this one. I really enjoyed the breakfast. Just note that it does get cold in there at times so wrap up!
If you want a really nice modern room, in a good location with breakfast Included I would most definitely recommend this place to stay. Thank you for having us.

I booked a Suite for two nights at Palazzo Alfieri, signatures suites. The location is perfect, next to the city center, with a great view over the river and Ponte Vecchio. The suite was more a junior suite setting, not having two different rooms in it, but properly clean and with a simple design that I appreciated very much. The reception has been nice upon arrival and surely well prepared upon check-out. Nevertheless, their parking service changed it all. They invite you to leave them the car in front of the hotel and that a valet service will pick it up and park it for you (35€ per night rate): it would be a great service, if when they give you your car key back at the reception without the possibility of a double check of the car, you go for it and you find out that a few items disappeared from the car. Regrettably, I have realized it once I was already one hour drive away from Florence: I called the reception which made me call back from the parking manager. The man without taking in any serious way the issue, just implicitly affirm that I pretended to have had those items in my car. So disappointing. How to turn a nice stay, in an unpleasant experience. Chose better the people you are working with, Royal parking is definitely not the right one and the responsibility is only yours.

Really good location and in a nice area, we had a standard double but there wasnt anything standard about it, large widescreen tele, complimentary bottle of wine and a huge shower.
The only let down about this place was the breakfast (which to be fair isn't in the hotel but a separate restaurant they offer coupons to, so it's more a complaint about the restaurant) Both days we came down and even on the day we got up early we still managed to get stone cold scrambled eggs.
Definitely recommend the hotel though!

Dear mhreview2019, thank you for your review although we regret to hear that our breakfast didn't reach your expectations. Many feedbacks we have received recently define our breakfast as "rich, healthy, original". We are extremely sorry to learn about your disagreement. We will keep on working on our improvement in this area, we're sure that, with the professional collaboration of our Partners at Foody Farm Firenze, our beloved Signature Breakfast will have a brilliant future. Alfieri luxury suites collection operates several different buildings under its brand name behind the main entrance doors & courtyard.
A central front desk and 2 onsite restaurants. Both restaurants open onto the street as well as behind the doors of the entrance. A great place to eat or an afternoon drink talk about the day and watch ppl.
The staff members are professional, very friendly & accommodating.
Located on the Arno River, quick walking distance to just about anywhere.
We had a room on the 4th floor with a private terrace facing the river and lovely views across the river.
I walked up & down the stairs every day, except for our arrival with our luggage and our departure w/ our luggage.
The elevator works perfectly well if your not into stairs!
The weather permitted us to enjoy a bottle of wine w/ cheese and crackers on 2 of our 4 afternoons.
Room amenities were replenished daily, very nice products.
Robes are in the bathroom, plenty of nice towels and crisp sheets on the bed.
There is an electric awning that came in handy to keep the direct sun off after a while of being out on the terrace.
Breakfast was included in our room cost and was a beautiful buffet daily.
We’d stay here again in the future!

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location, other than that, I would not recommend staying here. We had a premium room on the 4th floor. The room was very dark, the bed was like sleeping on a rock and the pillows were no better. In fact, the pillows on the bed were so bad I looked and found additional ones in the closet that were so lumpy they had absolutely no structure. I asked if they had any others to which they delivered the same two pillows. I had the worst sleep and was glad we only had to stay for 2 nights. All this and 2 men were fighting in the room across the hall. The breakfast at the restaurant on the main floor was your typical breakfast buffet. The part of the hotel we were in was dated, dark and dingy. For the money, there are plenty of other lovely hotels to stay and you would be wasting your money if you stayed here.

I visit Florence in November and December and the Alfieri rooftop terrace is open then, so it will definitely be open in August...There is a beautiful view of the Arno and Ponte Vecchio as well as Ponte Santa Trinita and Ponte alle Carraia too. You may take cocktails from the bar up there as well. I'm sure you can take food from the in house restaurant Foody Farm up there to but you may have to bus your own table...
Just ask Serena, Jitka, Martina or Oafae at the reception desk...Ciao!
Yes, they have a small car park which is situated through one of the massive arches, at the back of the building. I'm sure the doorman would be willing to drive it through for you if you felt at all uncomfortable or not confident with driving through to it. They are very attentive and always seem to be there for you when you need them.
We went in late May and although there is, they didn’t have it switched on! It was incredibly hot in the heat, unable to sleep
